You might want to send in your CV to workforce directly so they'll have it in their database. Even better, lookout for all Workforce recruitment announcements or visit their website at http://www.workforcegroup.com/. Greedgod: |

Wow, Reno married a beautiful woman. Had no idea his wife was this fine. A woman who looks like this after three kids and with no make up is gorgeous. Guys, even if you don't like Reno, theres something to learn from this: marry for where you're going; not where you are right now. 1 Like |

Thank you nifemi25. Which of the Magodos? There's phase 1 & 2. I'm wary of phase 2 (Ogudu II) because it's somewhat far from "town". And phase 1 isn't exactly my preference. nifemi25: 1 Like 1 Share |
Properties / Where's The Best Place To Live In Lagos Mainland? by markpenk: 3:33pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm thinking of relocating to Lagos, and I'd like some valuable information. I have already narrowed down my areas of interest to just four locales: 1. Ajao Estate 2. Gbagada 3. Surulere 4. Ikeja -not OPIC/Isheri North I chose these areas because because of their relative centrality (if we could call it that), ease of access -I can easily navigate my way to the Island, Airport etc- and the possibility of getting relatively new homes. Alternative suggestions particularly around those areas are highly welcome. Now my questions are as follows: Which would you recommend based on the following criteria: 1. Serenity 2. Electricity/Power -looking for relatively stable power o (not 24 hours before una go yab me ) that I can supplement with gen/inverter 3. Possibility of securing new or relatively new homes (it doesn't make sense to fork over 5 times the value of what I'm paying where I'm located now for a similar build) 4. Security 5. Accessibility - Tarred, interlocked roads or well graded roads at the very least. 6. No flooding Also, if you could also recommend specific estates, that would be really helpful. Please note: I'm a bachelor looking to settle down sometime soon. So, proximity to good schools and all those other family-based decisions aren't a priority right now. Also, I'm not exactly interested in moving to the island for now. I no get strength to battle flooding issues lol. I'm hoping this thread would also be beneficial to other folks with similar interests. Thank you. Lalasticlala mynd44 lawyer... please help a brother out. Na beg i dey beg o. Okay, youre right. just confirmed from someone I know. Since you're familiar with the system, what's the possibility of transaction trainees and DSEs being converted to full time staff in Sterling? Contract staff in UBA and Zenith are usually converted after 1-3 years if they've got good appraisals. Is this the case in Sterling? bioduneberry: |

Are you sure about this figure? Know about an ET or something whose pay was just bumped to 150k+, and he was just recently promoted. Also, do you have concrete info about their contract staff? Heard it's around 70k+ bioduneberry: 2 Likes |

Lol @ hell fire. Hmmm... Why did you say this? I personally haven't been there and know nothing about the route. Is it that bad? I was only able.to give him that advice based on hearsay. If you have first hand experience or know someone who has, please share your experience. I'd really love to hear it. In fact, I'll be referring him to this thread. He really needs to make a decision between today and Friday and is leaning towards the Tincan offer because of the better pay. Thanks. Lalasticlala can you help a brother please? Lusola15: |
Travel / How Long From Tincan To Jakande Estate Isolo by markpenk: 10:57pm On Dec 21, 2016 |
Guys, a friend who lives around Ejigbo just got two jobs -one on the island, 2nd at Tincan- and needs information on the traffic situation between tincan, apapa and Jakande estate every evening. Seeing as the second job is a bank gig and there's the possibility that he would have to regularly close between 7 and 8pm, how long will it take to get home from Tincan. I told him the traffic can be crazy and it could sometimes take as long as 3-4 hours according to another friend who plies that route daily. Is this true? Can anyone familiar with the route help with that info? Thanks. |

Properties / Re: Whose Responsibility Is It To Empty The Septic Tank? Landlord Or Tenant? by markpenk: 5:55pm On Dec 14, 2016 |
Depends... Tenants if the landlord isn't resident in the compound. Both if the landlord lives in the same compound as the tenant. Many people tend to assume that it's the landlord's duty when the tenants use the septic tank because they feel it's included in their rents. This is even more so when the house has had previous tenants. I would imagine that the only scenarios where the landlord would be mandated to empty the septic tank are: 1. When tenants pay service charges 2. New tenant just moved in and the tank is full 3. When there's a written agreement that the landlord will attend to this. 4. For some reason, some landlords simply don't want tenants tampering with the structure in their homes -anyone remember the drum of dollars stashed in a soak away by one of the PDP stalwarts. In this instance, they would elect to clear the tank. Lalasticlala, please see to this. This has caused a lot of ruckus between tenants and landlords. People should be properly educated about this. nepapole: 10 Likes 1 Share |

Honestly though, who is the other guy in blue that was grabbing her everywhere, and nearly kissed her while the bf was trying slip the ring on the finger? Or am I the only person who saw that? It feels weird that he's the one she's hugging and holding and whispering in his ears and nearly kissing when the main guy was "forcing" her hand. Una sure say this gal no dey "do" that guy? Because the guy just dey touch am for several "high value" places. He'd better be her brother or a very good gay friend 1 Like |

I hope not too, but it's likely that's what's happening. And if it is, it makes complete sense as the founder of the Nigerian MMM will remit a certain percentage to Mavrodi himself as royalty or payment for using his "franchise"... If that's the case, it would be pretty brilliant. Please don't hate me folks, I'm just thinking here. epistleNow: 1 Like |

Career / Re: Hop In; Lets Share The Challenges We Face Getting Transportation To Work by markpenk: 7:58am On Dec 11, 2016 |
Not really. I can speak for Ibadan. That place is amazing. Home to work in less than 30 minutes. Easy pace of.life. Traffic jams that last no more than 15 minutes, and if you're not mobile, you can either charter a taxi for 1k-1.5k an hour, or take a bike to anywhere. Cheaper cost of living... Bottom line, IB has less stress and more ease. I don't think I've met a lag transplant in IB who wanted to go back to Lag, particularly when they have a good job. IB may not be on the same level as lag, but you sure will have your fun. And if you get too bored, which shouldn't happen seeing as there are quite a few attractions, you can easily drive to lag, hang for a few days, and head back to IB when you need your sanity back. Travel / Traffic Situation Along The Lagos-ibadan Expressway And Alternative Routes by markpenk: 12:45pm On Dec 07, 2016 |
In view of the ongoing holy ghost congress at the redemption camp and shiloh 2016, I feel we should have a thread that monitors the traffic situation and possible alternative routes so people don't get stuck in the usual traffic jam that lasts for hours on that route during these week-long events. Can we have frequent updates and even images from Nairalanders who have just passed or are passing the route presently, as well alternative routes for people leaving and coming into Lag? I'd suggest all posters use the following format: Time (when you passed the route): Lane (are you coming into or going out of lag): Date: Traffic situation: Images if possible: Can we get the ball rolling, please |
Politics / Is The Oyo State Govt Now Allowing The Indiscriminate Dumping Of Refuse? by markpenk: 7:44am On Dec 03, 2016 |
I have recently noticed that the stretch of median strip/central reservation (the space between the roads) along the ojoo-iwo road expressway has been turned into a refuse dump. Those areas lended some beauty and sanity to the city of Ibadan. Has the Oyo state govt decided to turn it into a landfill? Does anyone have an idea of why the govt is doing allowing this? Surely, this is a backward step and one that's unhealthy for the residents of the city. To the best of my knowledge, other cities are trying to eliminate their unsightly refuse dumps. Why is Oyo state going in the wrong direction? Can someone please tell Gov. Ajimobi that this is definitively anti-growth and paints the city/state in a bad light? Anyone care to comment? |
