Being cheap on car maintenance can bite you in the ass later. Now back to those viscosity ratings, a 2003 Toyota Corolla has a viscosity rating of 5w-30 as specified in the owner's manual. Unfortunately, you can't get that rating here from the major engine oil producers. However, i found a very close substitute to it (Quartz 9000 5w-40) at N8,000. It's fully synthetic. Can one use that safely in the car ? Thanks

Be careful with that Total Quartz 9000 oil. I used it on my 04 Xterra and it started smoking immediately and that was the 3rd service after I bought the SUV. I had to change the engine. Suspect there was a bad batch manufactured.

Dexron III is recommended as a substitute. You are required to flush it and replace with HONDA ATF within the shortest period of time.

Don't use DexronIII please. Use Honda Z1 or DW1. These are recommended for Honda cars. Any other ATF and you run the risk of damaging your transmission.

Brother EOD fabric seats always look faded! That's why I was susprised you opted for fabric option. Check out othe EOD cars with fabric seats.

Bros the effect might be as a result of the light. Don't be suprised that when you see the car it will be cleaner than the pics.

I opened the engine and discovered that the power steering fluid was way below the max level. Topped it up, started the car and the sign disappered.

lonelydora: Did you change your hub? Maybe they tamper with the sensor while changing it. If No, go and gauge all the four tyres.

The car is just a week old. Nothing has been done on it. Will guage the four tyres tomorrow.

Any issues getting the car out of park sometimes?

The brake lights are okay. No problem getting it out of P. I scanned and no code came up.

I tried swiching on and off the tcs button but its not responding. The car drives ok thou.
