Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Martiny(m): 5:37am On Jun 03, 2023
Hi, please I noticed that the reference number on Vetassess ends with two letters in bracket, (eg) after the number. I want to know if these two letters in bracket are part of the reference number. For example, ref number: 12TS834318 (eb), I want to know if the (eb) is part of the ref number.
Thanks.

I'm married with 2kids, they just joined me in the UK 2weeks ago. Accommodation here is not easy so we still hunting, no loan, no mortgage, no medical requirements nor insurance policy yet. I work here as a Carer, the Visa however gives health insurance and free school for children, partner can also work.
FBS:

So to better "guide" you or provide better responses, you may want to be more specific in your questions or request.
e.g., what's your current family status, your take home pay, loans, mortgage if any? Lifestyle
Medical requirements, insurance policy, etc
It would be easier to compare what you already have with some you may likely get if you decide to move.

Hope that helps.

Hi all, I'm currently on a skilled worker Visa (Healthcare Worker Visa) in the UK since this June and my nomination for a 491 in South Australia has just been approved, yet to lodge the Visa. Please I'm wondering if it is really worth it leaving my current UK skilled worker Visa for the 491 Visa in Australia.

Please I really need to be properly guided.
Thank you all.

Yeah, a skilled worker is always sponsored by an employer to get a Visa, their gain is simply my rendered services. My contract is 3 years in the first instance but it could be discontinued if an employer wishes.

I'm on a Skilled worker Visa here in the UK, with the right to work as a care worker, the Australian 491 Visa which I've just been nominated to apply for will also qualify me to work there.

What a good piece!.
My simple view to this is that opting to leave Nigeria for liberation and betterment of one's life in the UK or anywhere else in the western world at this critical time is the best option, unless you live in Nigeria where the security of your life, those of your family members and property could be certainly guaranteed.

So many Nigerians were living comfortably at home, believing in developing Nigeria with their skills and finances but ended up loosing their lives and loved ones to kidnappers, armed robbers, police brutality and so many other avoidable deaths. Sadly, these lost ones were bread winners of their families, leaving their dependents in eternal sadness. Do you think their family members wouldn't be in regrets presently for failing to have considered Japa in the past?

A professor of Medicine in OAU teaching hospital was killed by kidnappers 2years ago, the widow said she has been telling the deceased to consider their relocation abroad but the husband said he preferred to invest and develop Nigeria.
A 37 years old man left Abuja for his MSC exam in OAU, Ile Ife and was mysteriously killed in November last year in his hotel room at a popular hotel there in Ife, leaving behind a widow with 3 children. The widow recently granted an interview to BBC yoruba that the deceased planned to relocate the family after his MSC.

Just 2 months ago, a young professional was abducted with his mother and young daughter on their way to Abuja from Lokoja, the kidnappers collected millions as ransoms on the 3 of them and eventually killed the young man right before the mother and young daughter. The list is endless, abeg.

Do you think these families amongst so many afflicted ones like them are not currently regretting to have not considered japa than staying back to pursue their goals in Nigeria and eventually loosing their loved ones?

With the current happenings in Nigeria, no amount spent on relocating your whole family abroad to have a new start is wasted. As a matter of fact, there is every likelihood that any investment you put such money into if you choose to stay back in Nigeria would be wasted.

If you choose to japa, simply do so with plans. Expectedly, you can't expect everything to be rosy immediately you get to a foreign country. One must struggle to settle in (accommodation, work, children's schools and so on). A lot of people are comfortable back in Nigeria but the leaders are making home hostile for the commoners and homely for themselves and their families, so why stay back and risk your life.

sukkot:
. there used to be a time wheN the UK was very sweet. i would not even lie to you and that era was the pre- internet days. you see the beauty of the UK back theN was that

1--- the world was not yet commercialized. it was strictly about culture and fun aNd having a great time. nobody was worried about money or making lots of it because everything was cheap. and also back in those days you could find like five of us naija guys sharing a flat and it was just fun and party all throughout and like all of us were british citizens back then ( yeah those who used to come pre-internet were mostly british citizens ) so we used to get all kinds of benefits so we didnt really have bills lol. just party life

2--- also what made the UK sweet back then was because there was no internet to tell you what it looked like, so you enjoyed it so much more because its like you are stepping into a world that you have never experienced before. there were no pictures of what to expect and so it wasnt cheapened ( no see finish ). it was all a mystery. now everything is on the internet

3---the caliber of naijas in the uk back then was quality guys and girls. now na every tom dick and harry oooo lol

4----also the fact that the nigerian market was not open back then and so there was no uk goods in naija and so when we went to naija with our uk clothes everyone looked at us like celebrities. like peoppple would be admiring your uk baffs. of course today there is even no need to go to the uk because everything in the uk can be bought in nigeria now so that aspect of it has also being cheapened. like there are levis and nikes and every shop in the uk in any mall in naija now. like you can be in naija and baff better than someone in the uk now. and so there is no need to go to the uk again. Just buy your baffs in naija and flex

5------ like i said earlier the uk was not commercialised heavily back then but now its all about money. now they can even tax you for the air you breath if they can get away with it. its like the fun has been sucked out of the country and it is now all about survival

6 ----it has become overpopulated by immigrants from all over the world. its like that unique britishness has being lost.

AND SO BROTHER THE UK WAS ONCE A SWEET PLACE BUT ITS NOW A SHITTY PLACE. LOL. I NEED TO TURN THIS INTO A THREAD LOL AND SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION BRO THERE IS NO POINT IN BEING IN THE UK AGAIN IF YOU CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO LIVE WELL IN NAIJA BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS IN NAIJA. EVERYTHING THAT IS IN THE UK IS IN NAIJA EVEN KFC AND DOMINOS AND NIKE AND APPLE AND POSCHE AND SKETCHERS ETC ETC ETC . SO IF YOU CAN DEVISE A WAY TO EARN POUNDS IN NAIJA, ITS THE PLACE TO BE

Good one, Probitas Doctrinal!

Does a BSc grade affect anything on the NARIC certificate?

achmed1:

Depends on individual circumstance .

PTE turnaround time is the fastest, you get your results same day of the test (not sure how long it takes to receive the certificate or whatever). IELTS takes two weeks at least to receive results ( I had a bad experience with IELTS where my result was withheld for up to 4 or 5 weeks after the test).

Obtaining the medium of instruction letter depends on the school. I got mine (I attended Unilorin) within a week. My NARIC report was out in 6 working days.

Hi all, to avoid a denial of a UK Tier 2 work visa, please is IELTS Academic by IDP/MOD acceptable by the UK home office? Or it must be IELTS UKVI?

Thank you.

In 2021?
These same people will claim they've performed healing miracles on their sick members and tell them not to doubt the supernatural power by going to any hospital for confirmation or Medicare. The members will eventually die a preventable death due to the brain-washing and they will still say it was how God destined it.
This one weak me abeg.

Please how effective will my 1.5kva bluegate UPS be as an inverter for by 3bedroom flat? I plan to use it with 2pieces of 100ah batteries (connected in "series" not parallel, to produce 24v like the batteries originally in the ups itself) and 2pieces of 200w solar panels and 30amp charge controller.
I will be using it for, a TV (60w), DStv decoder, energy saving bulbs, phones and laptop charging. I will be glad if you can help me do a lay man explanation.
thanks.
