You av even gone far, wen President of Chad was alive before 2015 election. The chadian troops recoverd alot of territory for us in Borno North and some Local Government in Yobe and Adamawa prior to 2015 general election, instead of NA to build on that we lost that opportunity and BH regrouped again after the chadian troops left Nigerian soil. That tells u alot about BH of a thing.

Honestly, i so much believe that our leaders are up to something with this insurgency, more like they are benefiting and enjoying it because from all indication they are less affected

He should be SA to the president on security, He knows every action of BH. I always suspend anything am doing just to watch how he will analyse everything on insecurity on Journalist Hangout. He raised the alerm last year and we are witnessing it right now. I still don't understand why NASS is yet to pass vote of No confidence on Buhari, the man is totally incapable to handle the insecurity going on in the Land.

They are not serious as leaders including buhari himself, if they are serious as leaders we shouldnt be talking about boko haram up to now going by all the promises they ve made.

I can remember Babajide of Tvc need said it when some faction of BH shared one short vedio
clips claiming they are in Niger sometimess around August last year. He said that FG Should intensity their efforts in some Niger state forest that some faction of BH av relocated to Niger state. Our Military lack intelligent gathering an ordinary journalist knws and study the their terrain. The undisputable fact is that Nigeria is on the verge of collapse, FG has not shown any committed sign of ending insurgency in the North.

That guy babajide is not an ordinary journalist, He knows too much about boko haram than most of the Armies

Sports / Re: Please Advice Me!!! Jogging Pros by marwanafrica: 4:50pm On Apr 26, 2021
sampete:
I started jogging last year after quitting for more than 4 years. I have been having pains around my kneecap and my legs in general after jogging, and most times I can't stand on my legs the next day. I have had to stop to recuperate then continue, the pain continues. I have even had to build endurance, hoping the pains would go if I continue jogging everyday, it only got worst. Now I jog only on Saturdays and I still tend to feel pains around my legs and knee the next Saturday.

I would really love to go jogging at least 4 times in a week. Please guys what do I do?

Please I will like to know if there are drugs I can take for the pain or for quick relief?

Also are there any food supplements I can take to strengthened my bones?

I like this thread, i can understand all you are going through infact i actually enjoy the pain, how my legs stiffs a day or two days after jogging, i enjoy how my two legs look as if iron rods are inserted on it,

All These stress and embarrassment on top 25k that wouldn't carry u for 3 weeks? And to even think it's a temporary engagement. Pls take my advice; whenever u are looking for a job, never be broke. Have a small biz or skill that fetches u income no matter how small. That way u are more confident and stand a better chance at negotiation with these exploiters that call themselves employers. You don't fall for anything cos u are not desperate and u give them terms and conditions instead of vice versa. All u need do is to develop urself and be highly resourceful and watch them bend to ur whim. Never been to an interview in corporate dressing. All I do is dress smart. Do any how and I tender my resignation and move on. Anyway, I had to give up on a salaried job cos of issue of TIME. Instead of gettin stucked in a modern day slavery in the name of job, I rather use it to pursue a number of legitimate hustle. Rest, flex and still make far more money while keeping my sanity. Never be broke while searching for a job!

Please share with me bro, legitmate hustle like what and what?

We were matched by friends we had in common.

Dude just wanted to see me based on pictures he saw and several chats we had.

He picked a day, I agreed. On that day I was so broke, not even bike fare to go out and mumsie no dey for me to ask.

The guy suggested an eatery, I said we should go on a stroll instead (as a rule, I no dey go on date if I no get my Tfare or money for food wey I go order, I hate see finish).

Guy came for the stroll at my bus stop. I met him there and we strolled to two bus stops ahead of mine, talking and getting to know each other. When it was time to go, dude said he will put me on bike so I don't have to walk back alone, I told him not to worry, that I'd walk (as I know say I no get Tfare).

This guy no gree o, was insisting. I said he should not worry. After the back and forth, this guy looked at me and said "ah, you don't have bike fare, why didn't you say so"? I now said I have bike fare, I just want to walk home. For bus stop, oga begin shout "where's the money, you must show me the money".

I just left him there and jogged home. Got home and narrated the gist to my mum and sisters, they laughed hard and the guy earned the name "show me the money".

That's how it didn't exceed the first date o.

May his soul rest in peace cause he's late now.

Ehya So sad, that he is late now.
Your mum must be very funny and jovial.

OP it took me 2 (two) weeks back then.

Finished Law School in Nigeria - I was going by flight to Abuja for the call to bar ceremony.

I just asked the young lady in front of my seat if she was going to Bwari as well - as I needed company in the chartered taxi.

Turns out she was 10 years at the bar already! And was working with the Securities & Exchange Commission. OMG she looks so young, even till date, you will never tell.

Long story short we exchanged contact. Told her I needed a job in Abuja and I wanted to run away from the hussle and bustle of lagos.

She asked me to send my CV. OP, this woman sent my CV to almost all the Big Corporate Law Firms in Nigeria - and I got emails from about 5 of them. It was now just a matter of choice for me - but I later decided to settle fr Lagos because that was where the real Banking & Finance legal works was really Practiced.

Might I add that I Made First Class both in my Under grad (LLB) and at the Nigerian Law School (BL) - so perhaps that was a factor.

Moral:
Always be confident to speak with people about your job need, even the person sitting next to you in church - in a bus - restaurant etc. But I guess again it's boils down to your conversation and social skills. There are books you can get online on how to improve your social skills (see e.g. How To Win Friends and influence People by Dale Carnegie).

This approach helped me a lot when I was seeking internships back then - in some instances, I literally sent random Inmail to industry experts in my field on LinkedIn. Many times the traditional online applications and sending of CVs just may not be enough.

Hope this helps someone out there. Thanks smiley

The way God used that lady to touch your life please ler him use you too to touch mine, i need a job like seriously in kaduna or Abuja, your contact thus far can do if Sir, please spare time and make it happen for me, and God will take you to your desire height.

If you graduate from a university and you come out looking for someone to employ you, then you are one of the problems of this country. With the knowledge and enlightenment you've gained from school, you should be the one employing and empowering people.
There are several businesses one can start building now which requires little capital but with a potential for massive returns in the long run.
