Business / Re: Tell Us One Business That Has A Lot Of Profits That People Don't Know? by marwanafrica: 6:15am On Feb 22

Farming, iron condemn and selling of tomatoes. All these are seen as an Aboki business, but trust me, I have aboki friends in Lagos here, you might be seeing some of these guys as Aboki. But, they are damn... rich. I know of one that Sells tomatoes beside the road (century market Ago), this guy has trucks in the north. I still know another one that does iron condemn business too.

Modified:
To those complaining about farming, it depends on where you are and the condition of security of farmers over there. I went for holidays in Niger State (Minna precisely) 2months ago, been in their village markets buying goods for storage. You will not believe is the same Niger State people are complaining about farmers online unable to farm due to insecurity. I mean, grains yakpa... they can't even finish selling the goods, they will have to covey it to the next village market or cover it with trampoline till next five market day. Farmers are just cashing out on weekly bases.

I come dey even feel "like na me dey city dey hustle send money to village (people wey get money pass me by default)" grin
which part of niger state was that and what were u there to buy and transport to where? sorry for much questions

Travel / Re: Very Strange Nigerian Guy I Saw In Germany Who Japa Back To Naija by marwanafrica: 7:39pm On Aug 02, 2023
sukkot:
So this is a very strange story which I think about till this day.

It was October 1st 2019 and I am coming to Nigeria with Lufthansa from Manchester and the stopover is Frankfurt. And so we get to Frankfurt and we had to ride this trolley tram bus thingy to our terminal.

That’s where I saw this character. He was sat in front of me clutching a small handbag. That’s all he had On him. His eyes looked cold and dead like someone who has seen everything there is to see in life and he had checked out of humanity. He had like a long Islam goatee. Young guy, maybe early thirties. He sat there and clutched his bag and stared with that dead empty look. He wasn’t being deported. He was on a voluntary journey of his own. I watched him for a little while but then we got to the terminal and alighted and I never saw him again.

I took the flight to naija. Got the cab at the airport and started the journey to the Airbnb I had booked in magodo. It was an evening and up in the sky were stork birds and eagles and the atmosphere was dusty looking as the sun was setting. So as I was in the car on the express about 3 miles away from the airport I saw someone climbing the dividers of the express way and trying to cross over to the other side to the bus stop to catch a bus , I adjusted my eyes very well and guess who it was? It was the strange guy who sat in front of me on the tram-bus in Frankfurt. He had absolutely no luggage with him. He had just the same small bag I saw him with and he was in the same clothes

Till today I always wonder what that guys story is . Did he actually walk out voluntarily on his own out of Frankfurt with a tiny bag and walk into the streets of ojota with nothing but the same bag and dangerously crossing the expressway ? Was he remote controlled into Nigeria ? It’s a very strange episode. I think of that guy to this day

why didn't you go to him and ask him instead of us

I will try to summarize.

I already lost my job as Telecom project Coordinator before all this happened.

So I went out to one hotel close to where I live and worked as a gate man during the night and during the day I worked as a teacher because I couldn't afford to feed myself. Few of my friends supported me as well. God bless them immensely by the way. So I kept applying for anything else around my area that could pay better.

I was lucky I did get another as an admin officer which pays better than the gateman and teacher gig, so I stopped both and right now I'm still chasing better opportunity.

This is just a summary of what I'm still going through I can't explain it all here.

I am happy for you Sir.
I have been apply for jobs since 2019 but nothing is forthcoming just looking forward for better days

Op I lost over 8million my entire life savings less than 6 months ago.

You can do either one of two things
- Stop whining get yourself engaged with any job to rebuild.
- Or remain depressed and nothing changes.

If only suicide was easy and less painful I would have chose that route but I was scared I wouldn't be able to bear the pain that's the only reason I'm still here.

So your choice.

We don't always lack good ideas and projects, but the political will to execute such projects seamlessly is the issue.
May they have the will to make this project a reality.

Ever wondered why you see these really long sentences? Like you will read an article about someone being sentenced to 200yrs or given multiple life sentences? It's no mistake, in a few years time, humans will develop genetic altering technology that will make us immortals. In other words, we will live forever. These long sentences ensure that even if we were to posses such technology, these perpetrators of heinous crimes must serve their long sentences. The future is exciting.
Dey play say we all go be immortal

Pls Mond I do not know where exactly to place this topic. pls do me a favour in placing it at the right place.

It a very good question. What do you fear the most in life? To me, not successful in life is like living in darkness all through your stay on Earth. It doesn't make any sense living to a very old age, yet with little or no success to show.

What made me come to this logical conclusion is as a result of my posting to one of the states in the north central region of the country. Men! those people are living in adjant and state of poverty, with so many children which they can hardly take care of. Honestly if you are poor you will be denied the joy of living in this world. When ever I am having discussion with them, I come to understand that this are not even border of the happing in the society. You wouldn't believe that when I asked who was the president of Nigeria, they were like who are you even talking about, I couldn't believe that people are still primitive even with all the modern age of the world.

Which part of North Central we're u posted to

DamnnNiggarr:
What is that habit or addiction that you have been battling or battled for long, with almost every of the resources available to you, but it still looks like the habit is winning, that you can't go awhile without engaging in it? and that sometimes, you wish God could just be overlooking it and not count it as a sin against you?

Mine is WRATH
Supposing, I was given the opportunity to see God face-to-face to make a request, and God asked me to choose a habit/sin that I would want to be deleted from the list of sins, without batting an eyelid, I will immediately choose WRATH.

Anger is one habit that has held me down for long, which I've battled with almost all the resources available to me, it's sometimes causes a great issue between me and the members of my family or the public, most of the time, I'll curse the hell out of my wife, family member or any person, at a slightest provocation. I lost a great contract deal at one time as a result of this issue of anger because the client said what I didn't want to hear.

Sometimes, I would be tempted to engage in activities that would help me stay away from things that cause one to be angered and be happy at all times such as womanizing, alcoholism and gluttony, but as God would have it, I've controlled myself not to indulge in such types of activities as they reduce one to a piece of bread.

Please house, for those that have been and successfully gotten out of this issue, how did you do it? What magic did you you apply to overcome it?

Please help a brother.

I remember when I was small I went to spend my holidays with my aunt and her hubby in the barracks, their neighbours wife was the soldier while the man teaches in one primary school. I remember one weekend she stayed out late and he locked her outside, she slept at our house that night, the next morning if you see the way she was kneeling and begging him ehn...
So seriously, guys shouldn't avoid her, it's just a profession and I don't think it would make her disrespectful to her husband or anything like that
