I applied for a study visa to undertake my PhD program at a south African university. I was given a visitor's visa. Can anyone please help explain? What can I do?
It is a visa of three years that reads that I should be admitted for doctor of * at *. It also states that I should go along with a flight return ticket.

I applied for SAQA evaluation and submitted all documents few days ago. I tried logging into their portal and couldn’t. The site read ‘user not found’. What do I do?

Some applicants have been offered admission, while others have been rejected. If you have not received a notification of admission or rejection, the admissions committee considers your application to be among the strongest in the pool, and it is possible that you will eventually receive an offer of admission.

Note that US graduate programs are required to have a deadline on funding offers no earlier than April 15. For that reason, it is unlikely that we will be making new offers prior to April 8. The only exceptions would be a change in the status of our budget or an early rejection of an offer we have made.

Please feel free to contact me if you have an offer requiring you to make a decision. It is possible that we are in the process of making you an offer, but since that can take up to a week, you may not yet have been notified. Otherwise, we will contact you when a decision is made on your application, so there is no need to check in "just in case".

is there anyone live in central Lagos like ketu, Ikeja or so. If willing, let's team together like 4 or 5, if the person is willing, let's buy unlimited data (fibreone offers unlimited data at 11k but you need the first installation that costs 37k)...if we can be up to 4, we can foot the bill, subsequent months, spend less than 3k for unlimited...and study together till we are through


On work, we can still team together and find a part time hustle we can do in the evening to get income unless we have other jobs to do.

This is not easy but it's a sacrifice of one year. My house would have been best since I have two big rooms but it's far away in ikorodu and I doubt if fibreone gets there. ..


Any better option will be appreciated....

Sharing of resources like laptop will suffice and be helpful too

In Simple terms LEGALIZATION confirms authenticity of your educational documents. (This is what u do to ur documents at the Poland embassy)

NOSTRIFICATION is the process of recognition of your educational documents. It verifies that your education document that you achieved in Naija or your home country (waec , neco, bsc) etc... is of equal value as the one in their country . So for example, if John gets his waec in Nigeria, they want to make sure that waec is equivalent to the polish secondary/high school diploma. (Usually in Poland this is done by the Kuratorium in the vovoideship in the city which your school is located. )

Most times you have to do legalization b4 Nostrification.

In the case of university of szczecin to get admission:

- first u will auth ur educational docs n moe n mfa
- then do a sworn translation of all your educational docs
- then u will legalize ur educational docs at the polish embassy.
- then u will send ur legalized educational documents to Kuratorium Oświaty for nostrification.

You legalize the documents your school require you to only. €30 per document. Usually its Degree certificate and transcripts for MSc
