Thank you for the response. Yes first time placing on nylon but it was raised with bamboo as suspension. And I added npk in liquid form 5ml per knapsack, which has been the practice for years. Yes maybe the roots are out, I will check underneath tomorrow. Thanks once again. Lastly what can be done, should I wait additional 1 week and transplant?

if you are being following this process and getting good result before, mean your cocopeat is not good. If this is your first time of placing your seedling trays on nylon, maybe the root as shoot out looking for nutrients but none may cause the stunt growth.

Hello my ogas, please what could be the problem on my tomato nursery. This is the first time I'm experiencing this. The nursery is 3 weeks already and yet the germination rate is very very slow. All normal procedure was followed.

If you're moving it to Mile 12 this season, you need to pray for the best while expecting the worst because by the time market agents and transporters start their deduction, you'll feel cheated.

When Cobra was selling for #12k per crate in my locality at Ogun State, I decided to test Mile 12 with 3crates. After transport (#1k per crate) and agent fee deductions, they sent me #20,185 for the 3crates when I would have gotten 36k for same number of crates if sold in my locality.

I don't trust Mile 12 market.

Oyinlekan, can we in Ogun State form a working cluster for onward transportation to Lagos. Like have a day of harvest in the week, we all meet at a location in Abeokuta or kobape and load unto a bus or cabstar. And we all share the cost of transportation to Lagos. That's how trucks are load in the north or iseyin.

To back his submission on sales in Ogun State, even GRADE A and full crate to the top, na nonsense price they go pay.

Hello, before you take a decision on what to plant. What is the type of soil on the land. But cashew will grow on most soil.

But if the soil is very good, plant plam oil on the land and plant cashew as fencing for the whole 5 acres. Thank me later.

With your stated factors and variables, you are right but once don't rightly, your profit will come. Do you consider your plant population, do fertilize well. If yes your profit will come handy. I wish I can do voice note to explain good farming because I'm not a fan of writing long explaination.

That's why I sometimes wonder how someone will claim he/she is doing well financially farming on a plot or most 6 plots of land,most likely rented by the farmer.
You pay rent on the farm,buy chemicals or fertiliser for the land,buy seeds.Planting time you hire workers,even if one or 2.Harvesting time same.By the time you remove the invariable losses of crops every farm must incur then remove your operational cost from income,I don't see where that big profit comes from.
Unless there is something ordinary folks like us don't know about the secret of profit farming.

I seconded the OP submission that farming is lucrative and very very lucrative. Point of correction, you won't see more than 20% profit like you said if you are a lazy farmer or doing a big man boss farmer. Because labourer and supervisor will have eaten all your profit before you know. Follow who know road and be very active yourself. Thanks.

I totally disagree with u, farming is not lucrative, a maize farm does not yeild more than 20% profit after all expenses. Except technology is brought into it, but the normal way it's done in Nigeria it's not worth the effort

You said it all. There are accessories and parts that comes with it. You use it to control how you want the seed to drop per hole. I used mine for 3 years, I do apply fertilizer with it too. Excellent performance and good yield come out. Thanks

It is a common complaint with prolonged use. You have to change the component that regulates the number of seeds. This comes as a spare part (at least the company I bought mine from on Alibaba sent me this).
