Divay22:Childish talk! Na so e easy to support both the woman and yourself at the same time? |
dafeyankee:I am sure you did not understand what you read, probably confused by the international trade terms used in the write up. I often wonder why idiots are usually the first to make front page on nairaland and their comments as useless as their warped persona. |
emusmithy:Ever heard of "the road is wide that leads to destruction and many there be that travel it". It's not the Church with the most crowd that is the most correct. Every true Prophet that God sends to correct a generation is often maligned by the religious establishment of the time and sometimes even killed. Freeze is a Prophet with a message which he has delivered. He may not be in the package you expect of a Prophet, but it changes nothing. So no surprise you guys are already hating on freeze and some Pastors even laid curses on him to not see 2018. Well, we shall see if he sees 2018 or not and I assure you he shall enter it in grand style. Truth is that Freeze is biblically right and has proven it while these preachers you mentioned are wrong. You've chosen to follow them wherever they're going and all we say is "good luck". As for us we have chosen to follow the Bible, eat our tithes with our families and give it to the poor. Ultimately, there are two types of Christians, Pastor's followers and then Christ's followers. |
Mynd44:Did you understand what you read? So ridiculous how many likes you managed to notch up for you severely ignorant post. |
Okoyeeboz:I guess you must be feeling proud of yourself like "I used grammar and finished him off". But how does acerbics negate the facts he put up there. Hiss! |
Arguably the best Governor in the country. A true magician! You only need to drive through Ebonyi especially Abakaliki to see the magic this man performed in just 2 years. When the British High Commissioner said Ebonyi had the best network of roads in the country, I laughed and dismissed him as never having been to Anambra state. When something started taking me to Ebonyi, I was wowed and believed him. I saw a true infrastructural miracle. A metamorphosis without noise. I wonder what will become of Ebonyi if this man continues in the saddle for up to 8 years. Hats off to this great man! He has my respect till Christ comes. I saw with my eyes. |
Someone should remind us again about the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:10-31. Wasn't she the one financing the home and doing all the chores? Women these days want to be branded "virtuous" but shy away from inherent responsibilities. This is a generation where social media is teaching people how to run marriages and every idiot becomes a marriage counsellor. Whoever, between the man and the woman that God has blessed with finances should bring the money to run the home without complaints. Don't know how long that nigga has been in the business to be talking trash. |
solablings:You weren't greedy. There's nothing wrong with wanting something good (shell) for yourself. Absolutely nothing wrong with being ambitious in life. The only thing wrong here was that you were a bit naive. Shell, a Shell staff or that of any serious organisation will not need your money to help out with employment. It's disgusting to see little kids here attributing everything to greed. Keep keeping your ambitions high and trust God to make it happen. It's only human to so do! |
An excellent piece. |
I'm proud of that Governor. He has etched his name in gold. I saw Abakaliki with my own eyes and couldn't believe that a Governor could bring such development in just two years despite the recession and despite being one of the least States in allocation. |
IgboSubmarine:Stop deceiving yourselves! I'm an Igbo guy too. Ezigbo nwa afo. The international community are extremely slow in intervening in conflicts. Most conflicts I've covered around the world, the people who started it (in our case IPOB foot soldiers) get killed within the first month or two months of the conflict leaving others who know nothing about it to clean up the mess through a forced recruitment. It was the case in Libya, Yemen, Syria etc. Some of you think war is a movie. It's not! This is Africa! Can you stomach being killed or maimed? Can you stomach watching your loved ones killed, maimed or raped in the most gruesome circumstances? You think if you shout international community, voom! America will land! It doesn't happen that way. They got their own problems to solve. Don't let Kanu decieve you. I watched Libyan revolutionaries die like chicken in very large numbers, even those who started the trouble were all dead and another group ended it. Worse still, your case could be like that of Bahrain which after the revolutionaries had suffered untold casualties, they were brutally quelled. Do we want to end up like the first Biafran war that we're still recovering from? Do we want to reverse everything we've worked for as a people in the last 50 years? Do we want to have our beautiful cities destroyed? If we don't like Buhari, 2019 is around the corner. Only a fool goes to war unprepared. War is not chest beating. Nnamdi Kanu has not bought even a bullet. He wants to lead people to slaughter slabs. His method of freedom fighting is silly! I don't know of anyone who abused his way to freedom. You need to build bridges of friendship and solidarity. In his case, he's using hate right from his days in radio Biafra and this has infected his followers who daily abuse people who disagree with them on social media. Most of his followers including the learned ones are ignorant. Biafra will not mean that all of people's problems will be solved as he's making it look. It will mean starting from rock bottom to build a country and all the problems of Nigeria will still be there if not worse. Igbo politicians will not automatically be born again and stop looting. Biafra will be economically unviable. Ojukwu knew this and opted for a confederation at Aburi. It was when confederation failed that he opted for Biafra as a last resort to save our people from the massacres in Northern Nigeria. Gowon moved to incapacitate Biafra by creating states and carving out the oil-rich region, Rivers state from Biafra only days before hostilities. IPOBs supporters don't know what they're asking for. Hoping on Niger Deltans to join you so you can have access to their oil and the sea is the worst of IPOBs mistakes. Niger Deltans are waiting for you to get freedom for them so that they too can break away from you and lick their oil alone. Many of them hate our people. I have lived there before. Let us rebuild our relationship with the rest of Nigeria and play politics the way we should and we'll have power. You may not admit it but Yorubas understand politics more than our people. There was no reason for our people to have put all our eggs in one basket in 2015 elections for a Jonathan that did nothing for us. Again, Nnamdi Kanu loves power, he loves people bowing to him and this is a major sign of a dictator and tyrant. These are truths most enlightened Igbos know but fear going public because of the aggressive, ignorant, and loud minority sympathetic to IPOB. Our people should be wise and careful what we ask for! |
I'm a full-blooded Onye Igbo and I've been telling these boys that this Biafra will not favour us but they still won't listen. Ojukwu's first choice wasn't Biafra. He negotiated true federalism at Aburi but Gowon scuttled a gentleman's agreement. Instead, He and his cohorts continued the genocide against Igbos thereby forcing Ojukwu to declare the Republic of Biafra to protect his people since Nigeria under Gowon couldn't. Even if there were to be Biafra today, Nnamdi Kanu would be a dictator, at least from his persona that we've all seen. He loves to be worshipped, He loves power, He's brash and seems very narcissistic. My Igbo brothers, this way is not the way. |
I'm sure no one will ever vote a fulani man in Presidential election again. They are doing this because they feel emboldened that their brother is in power, and of course, he's not saying anything. It's called tacit support |
P-R-E-S-I-D-E-N-T-I-A-L Rats! |
This is occultic ritual killing. It is not normal domestic dispute. The Obinna knew what he did. He sacrificed her. The beatings were intentional, especially whenever she got pregnant. I know someone that went through that but was lucky to realise what it was all about and ran from the marriage. |
Ben Bruce's warning must be taken seriously. I have read some silly ignoramuses on front page abusing him. I don't know why you always have a lot of senseless people on Nairaland front page. This warning by Bruce is the chilling reality that awaits Nigeria, not politics. Let's do what we can now! |
LasGidiOwner:I hope you're not a Yoruba masquerading as Igbo from Anambra but if you are truly from Anambra, I urge you to stop this stupidity! You're not more Anambra than me but your silliness stinks and you should apologise to other Igbos on this forum for your thoughtless indiscretion. No part of Igboland is better than the other. We're all one. Igbo nine bu ofu! Who divided us into Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Delta, Rivers etc? Is it not Hausas? Prior to the coming of the Whiteman was there anything like Anambra State or Ebonyi? Now you're here shamelessly furthering the division by trying to prove needless superiority over our brethren in other states. I honestly don't know who buys data for you kids to be coming on nairaland to embarrass the Igbo race. |
Hahaha! The envy against Igbos in this thread is astronomical. I tried calibrating it and it scattered my envikometer. Some people go die this night, meanwhile they wish it was their tribe. Wow! So much envy, so much bile, so much redness. Congrats Ndigbo! Congrats Umuchineke! Congrats UmuAbiama! |
Ahmadgani:Your Uncle lied to you! He just couldn't afford property in Igboland and is using lies to save face. The OP threw a challenge to you to contact him and he'll help your uncle with the purchase. I can also help your uncle if he has his money. No Omoniles or other opportunists! |
mohlanforex:Lazy lot! What was that bullshit you typed there. That Igbos muscled you out of business, that they dominated you. Yours is the ranting of one who cannot compete and pathetically envious. Igbos did not close your shop and didn't stop you from selling your wares either. OK how about education? Igbos also muscled you out cos they've been dominating in WAEC as all the five Igbo States came within the first ten in the federation with Abia and Anambra placing first and second respectively. Stop being envious! Those people are simply blessed and whom God has blessed, no man can curse or even stop. Awo and the rest of Nigeria thought that by pushing them to default setting of giving each Igbo man £20 to re-start life from scratch and then selling off government owned companies for more opportuned Nigerians to buy them off they could put the rest of Nigeria far ahead of Igbos, yet, they came from behind and in just a few years took over both the economy and education and are once more ahead. Can't you read between the lines and see that fighting these people is like fighting against God. It doesn't take rocket science to spot who has God on his side. A wise man will make peace with the blessed and not fight |
technicallyrich:Stop this nonsense! I hate it when you people include others in Biafra when you haven't sought their consent, yet complain Lord Lugard didn't seek your consent before amalgamating you with the North. Itsekiri, Urhobo and Edo were never part of the Old Eastern region that made up Biafra, so why include them in your map. The major motivation seems to be oil. Tell Nnamdi Kanu and Uwazuruike that if they cannot foresee the 5 eastern States surviving without oil. They should please drop the agitation now. You people should understand that oil has no future and would be worthless a few years from now. The world is moving to greener and renewable energy instead of oil. Nigeria today is begging for buyers of crude because it has lost value and countries are not patronising anymore. The biggest buyer, the USA is now one of the largest producers and has stopped buying. The so-called oil producing communities of the Niger Delta including our Igbo brothers there hate us. I know because I've lived there before. Since we lost the war, and because failure has no brother, they all started denying their Igboness in order to please the hausa-fulani oligarchs and be able to access goodies (contracts, appointments etc) from them. You guys should stop disgracing us by including these people only for them to come and deny us because they are feeling important. Imagine Itsekiri ethnic group that is not even up to a town coming to dissociate from us. Crude oil doesn't make a great country. Venezuela has one of the largest oil reserves and is in economic shit today while Germany has no oil and is Europe's largest and best economy. Leave these Niger Deltans with their shakara and build a strong Biafra and they'll later come begging. Finally, I know Nigeria maltreated Igbos but let me advice IPOB to build friendships and not enemies with other ethnic groups and countries. That's the way to get Biafra quicker. Abusing others and Britain will get you foes. I watched with dismay a Biafran agitator addressing a crowd somewhere in Britain and was placing curses on Britain and gloating over the terrorist attack that befell them, all these in the full glare of the British police. The whole thing sometimes seems like the agitators are childish and have no strategy or or even the least diplomacy |
Nightshift:Don't be naive Bro! Some Yorubas who grew up in the south-east can be up to that. I've met some of them who can speak fluent Igbo and know everywhere in Igboland |
Some Nigerians are pure evil! It's truly frightening sharing the same country with these schizophrenics and cynics who can't do any good for humanity and when they see someone do, they denigrate and see wrong in the good deed. This Lady with a heart of gold, intent on getting people to emulate her and make love go round is getting slated by a bunch of devils on nairaland trying to tar her good deeds with a black brush. Many of the people criticising her would rather use that money to buy designers than feed the hungry. Evil generation! |
Hades2016:Even GEJ himself admitted Chibok issue is real as recently as penultimate week . So stop wishing it wasn't real! |
drss2:How did you know that the dollar was minted in 2016? OK, Did the EFCC show you the money? |
DPA! The divorce factory of Nigeria. |
If you're a southerner and you truly believe there was, is or will be one Nigeria, then you're a fucking idiot! I can tell you that Gowon who fought for one Nigeria will be heart-broken now watching his fellow Northern Christian brothers being butchered daily but the shame of how it affects his reputation wouldn't let him admit he made a mistake afterall. The need to protect Awo's reputation wouldn't let the Yorubas admit they also made mistakes in following him to war against the Igbos. The Northern Christians like TY Danjuma should also be doing some soul searching now. Shame and pride wouldn't allow all of the above actors admit fighting against Biafra was a mistake afterall. It's not too late though. They should come clean and apologise so that the wounds of the past could be healed. Even if after seeing all these happen they still want to continue with one Nigeria, at least they would have made restitution and unite together to shout with one voice, the voice for justice. Otherwise, they would die with needless reputation, be judged harshly by their creator and the posterity of their people will become endangered species in no time and whatever remnant that will be left, if at all, will not be Christians as we know it but Muslims. Ask Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon et al. And to you Igbos, when you're apologised to, accept without fuss and animosity, it will also be for your own good. Sometimes you unite with a perceived enemy to fight a greater more vicious adversary for your own good and survival. There is today in Nigeria a real and present existential jihadist threat to non-Muslims carefully masked as herdsmen menace, the perpetrators know what they're doing but keep deceiving the survivors until it is their turn to face the matchets |
I used to criticize the Biafran case because of my erroneous belief that PMB was a decent man who could fix and unite the country, but NOT ANYMORE. His deafening silence suggests he supports all of this. I see no reason why a sane President should keep quiet while this happens if not for complicity. Any right thinking southerner should know that this is real jihad/genocide and when they finish with the Christians up north, they won't hesitate to move south as they are already doing. I hate to see Igbos and Yoruba fighting each other in this country rather than unite and prepare against the devilish conspiracies of these jihadists. Divided, the south is sure to fall when they come for you except Yorubas, Igbos and southern minorities unite and see themselves as brothers and forge a common cause to quit this ungodly union called Nigeria. All the needless fight southerners engage in in nairaland is nothing but mutual destruction because you won't stand any chance the day they come for you. Of course, the jihadists want you divided and will continue to play you against yourselves to achieve their aim. The Yorubas should come clean and apologise to the Igbos for joining the North to fight Biafra rather than engage in needless grandstanding and the Igbos rather than engage in cursing and unforgiveness should accept. Unite together and see yourselves as brothers who have made mistakes and heal the wounds of the past. Trust me, you need each other now. If you think uniting with each other is evil, choose between your uniting and being massacred which one is a greater evil. Remember the jihadists have tested their massacre in both south East and south West and your governors had no answer. It was a pilot study for them. You need to strip yourselves of pride and unite. The Sardauna of Sokoto truly promised before independence, "...should the British quit Nigeria, the North will continue her interrupted conquest to the sea". |
Where are the international media cnn, BBC, and Co? The world should hear this. Outrageous! |
souljaboi51:It may not be a skyscraper in your book but do you have something like that in your village? |
The idea of a Christian court is a trap being set for Christians by Muslims ! If Christians foolishly accept it, Muslims will use it as a leeway to further proliferate Sharia and other hitherto caged Islamic agenda as the principles of secularism would have been broken using Christians as tools. That's probably why this bill is being hastened |
drnoel:You'll soon eat your words! |

only a magician can pull dat stunt except d dullard is not even in control ova his own govt.
