Graduating with distinction isn't easy in public schools (highly frustrating system except you haven't gone through it). I know someone who wad denied because he's physically challenged but he was compensated with non-academic employment. The other was denied because he wasn't very fluent.in English. All in govt schools. To be candid however, Nigerians are brilliant. I still believe when you see a first class graduate he doesn't need to blow his trumpet. He should be different ( a genius sort of) |

There are phones and there are phones. However, most people on the high end buy it for status sake while those on the low end have not found need for costly phone. It beats my imagination when people treat phone like it's a baby and they don't explore. Many can't locate simple calculator on their s6 talk less of installing it from the store. |

Business › Re: New Monetary Policy Pulls Out N744bn From Circulation by masqot(m): 8:27am On Mar 31, 2016 |
SleekAlmajiri: Due to its new monetary policy drive the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, may be pulling out up to N1.0 trillion from circulation in the economy through the banking system in the first month of its new monetary policy. Already N525 billion has been pulled out less than one week after the policy which seeks to tighten money supply, while additional N219 billion is slated to be pulled out next week, just as banks’ treasury executives said they were preparing their treasury plans for more mop ups estimated to be up to N300 billion within the next three weeks. The apex bank had last week announced a reversal of its expansionary monetary policy which it had run for eight months, in favour of contractionary measures under which the Monetary Policy Rate, MPR, was increased to 12 per cent from 11 per cent while Cash Reserve Requirement, CRR, was hiked to 22.5 per cent from 20 per cent. Both rate increases would effectively increase interest rates, cost of funds and yields on money market instruments floated by the apex bank while transferring huge cash from the banking system into the government vault. Of the N525 billion already pulled out, about N410 billion was quarantined in relation to the new CRR, while N115 billion was pulled out into Nigerian Treasury Bills, NTB, and with another N219 billion slated for mop up next week in NTB, the apex bank would have taken out a total of N744 billion by end of next week. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/03/new-monetary-policy-pulls-n744bn-circulation/
lalasticala obinoscopy mynd44 This is a topic that suppose to have more likes, shares and mentions but look at the patronage. Someone asked what the effects are. Well, in simple terms, this policy portends hard times ahead except if govt pursue sectoral developments that would have a long term economic effects that would compensate for the short term sufferings. CRR increase means banks ability to grant loans is reduced. This translates to low credit and lower production which may lead to redundancy and unemployment. Higher MPR leads to high cost of obtaining credit which frustrates business capitalization and those that obtain loans at high cost transfer it to consumers in form of higher price. However, why do govt embark on contractionary policy? *To combat inflation. We should not forget inflation and unemployment are inversely related *To finance budget deficit. 2016 budget is a deficit budget *To finance national development when govt have policy direction. Above are the effects of this policy, among other things |

From my experience, the mb you consume is the same except when you have option of downloading high or low definition video. While the former consumes less data, the latter comes heavier. Moreover, you make the video yours when you download unless you don't need to. |

LordRegalia: Hello everyone,
A very big thank you to all who took the time to read through the entire piece. I am quite pleased to see that not a few people enjoyed reading it. And more importantly, I do hope that even more dog lovers learned a thing or two from it.
I suppose I may have to squeeze out more time to write a few more interesting and equally edifying posts. Truthfully, there are just so many stories to be shared from my experiences with my dogs, I hardly believe I can tell all in this lifetime. And inasmuch as I try to give them a decent life and take the time out to teach them things that make them more socially acceptable among humans (and equally lethal in their guard / protection role), I have also learnt quite a few life lessons from them which are very applicable in everyday interactions with people (especially Nigerians). I am sure most dog owners would agree with me that dogs are the best teachers when it comes to love, trust, loyalty and forgiveness. For them, it is absolute. Non-dog lovers would never understand this.

Momma has said her own. I want to believe her parents told her same but she didn't listen. It's sweet but it's like holding and egg in your palm and then playing rough. Tendency of breaking the egg is very high. If you want to see the future clearly, better sit on the shoulder of an elder. I know it's sweet and irresistible. |

Well, I don't think Awo was arrogant as you pointed out in the postscript ( my opinion ). However, his tone suggested he was highly pessimistic considering they were not close. €1,400 was and is still huge to give out without collateral. Anyway, he still achieved his ambition. Well done for bringing this out from the archive. |

Most of these public office holders need PR manager cause there's always need for diplomacy and brevity in uttering speech. I think some of them have not realized how sensitive their positions are. The masses is hoping on them and look at the flimsy statement and the aftermath in just one day. They need to learn quick. What this economy needs at present is confidence. |
