You're good to go, as long as you can get as high as 75 in your post utme. Anything less than that will make you short of last year's cut off

Don't let us deceive ourselves. It's not possible considering the time frame for which the data was available, the network speed(no matter how fast it is, 4G in Nigeria is not 5G) and to some extent, storage space. It wasn't even up to 24hrs. The mathematics doesn't add up.

That's not more than the numbers that have updated successfully, it was peculiar to those whose bootloader where not properly unlocked.

The more reason why I think it's not out of place for him to have asked for opinions. Better safe than sorry.

Thread with caution. Unlike the new mi devices where you can just download gcam and start using, for devices like ours (RN5 AI), installing gcam involves a lot of processes like unlocking bootloader, installing custom recovery and enabling camera2API

No, they're already saved on your phone storage and no longer connected to the app. And like someone stated, you don't even need to uninstall. I use about 4 different mods, they all have their strengths and weaknesses

Author should relax and skip unimportant updates. Although attention should be paid to security updates, they may very well save a life

I never said the relevance of the OS, the bone of contention is that of the author devices not to flash an unimportant update, there's a high chance that the only way for him to flash the most recent update is to do it manually

You must be very lucky. Most times, your device will not skip an update for you, so if you skip 3 updates, you'll need to download the 3 of them before you get to the latest updates.
It's actually been long I used the official miui ROM but what I remember from using it is that the updater app rarely even skip an update unless that update is discontinued so before you even see the next update automatically, you'll have to install the current one

you'll download the current version... So of you get 1.1... then a 1.4 should come out later, you'll download 1.4 without having to download 1.2 or .3

To do that, you need to also let him realize that he'll have to download the latest Rom and download manually but if he intends to go truth the updater app, he'll have to download all the updates and install them sequentially

I'm very sure there are lots of advantages of these Roms (Masik and EU) over the official miui. Part of these advantages include
1) better battery backup
2) no ad whatsoever in the system.
3) Ability to import 3rd party themes/fonts without any challenge
And in MASIK particularly,
4) Customizations such as ios status bar
5) Gcam patches by default
6) Dope audio engines
