initialize: Thanks for trusting me, I know how valuable trust is in this business..... Trust is a principal thing, very essential.WOW! |
LARRYDKING: And if u think S.S3 students are easily handled by their teachers, then i rest my case cos they are the most nutorious #peace.Yes they may be notorious, but they are not ignorant and can take Cara of themselves. Good morning. Happy Sunday |
LARRYDKING: If that's what u're trying to say, i still put it to u that SS students arn't matured enough to handle this virus issue, i tell u. Even in our tertiary institutions, if one person is down, the whole sch is @ risk, even d rector, how much more sec sch students. I believe if u experience practical examples, u'll change ur tune. Then why were the tertiary institutions not closed down too? Why have they allowed the GCE to continue? Many other questions like this waiting to be answered.... Get me right bro, I'm not against the move to shut down school activities however the move is completely illogical and senseless if some other measures are not taken. The ss students might not be matured like you said but they can be easily monitored and cautioned by the teachers who are more matured; since the excuse people give when asked whether churches and markets be close down is that the kids are always under the guidance of their parents in such places. Then if you think teachers can't handle the ss3 students then I rest my case cos there's no need extending this argument. It's not even as if our own opinion matters since it's not our decision to make. #peace |
LARRYDKING: And when it spreads like wild fire like it has in Liberia, does it mean u'll sent ur children to sch at the expense of their lifes?? Anyway, u're the owner of ur children. In Liberia, their failure to shut down d schs @ d early stage has lead to shuting it for even too long. My broda, if it spreads more than it has already, closing all schs indefinately will be d only option. You clearly do not understand what I'm insinuating, it's a good idea to shut down the NURSERY/PRIMARY & probably JSS schools (provided their parents and all family members will remain at home or at least in less populated area where there won't be any contact of any sort) but I see no reason why the SS students or at least the SS3 shouldn't be allowed to keep receiving lectures. They're old enough to be cautious and cautioned if need arises. In as much external exams won't be postponed or adjourned, the candidates shouldn't be denied lectures. Even with all these, GCE exams is ongoing. I hope you get the point in trying to project |
I smell trouble here |
thankyouJesus: Thank you Sir, Chemistry is a no no situation (Geography/Biology). Is there combine honour mathematics in UI? If the aforementioned is yes, what are the courses excluding B.sc Mathematics/Economics? Thank you in anticipation of your response. From my findings, there's only B.sc Mathematics in UI and no double/combine honours. |
thankyouJesus: Thank you for your advice Sir but my poweress is in mathematics. If possible, I will close my eyes and choose Phy, Math and Fur Math (I dont think Jamb do this), Biology/Geography. One more thing sir, can someone study math without fur math (O'LEVEL).1. There's no further-math as a separate subject in utme, it's combined together with math 2. To study mathematics, your best combo will be math, physics, chemistry and of course, use of English. 3. Yes, you can apply for mathematics without f/math in your o'levels. check the brochure for more info. |
Wsfirstlady: well, in my opinion, the risk is less. Children shud be allowed to stayed home till ebola is curbed to its barest minimum. Simple!Yeah, everybody has a right to his/her opinion. The most important thing is our safety and progress. God help us. #peace |
OnyeEgo1: u mean dey won't play with oda children at home??I wonder o my brother..... |
Wsfirstlady: think of it this way bro, how many teachers r in the class?, when an infected child goes to a class, there's the probability of he/she playing wit another child, thereby spreading the virus to other kids. But when at home, they can easily be with controlled by their parents. Peace!Do you also know that the children can also play with one another at home, or is it possible to lock up the child 24 hours inside the room, not even to buy "recharge card" or "kerosene" in the next house? the fact is that NOWHERE is safe enough so why deny the kids the academic progress they deserve? |
Wsfirstlady: do children go to banks and markets on their own?, children can be controlled in church if with their parents but can't be controlled in sch. What's the essence of keeping the kids at home when the parents to control them are on their respective places of work. I know some people will say they will order their children to stay indoors all day, as if we don't know how obedient children are..... when we're talking about churches, banks and markets, yes we know adults are there to control and guide the kids but we also need to remember that so far it's a crowded area, there's no way you can avoid contacts even if it's accidental |
ratiken: Banks, markets, churches etc are operated by adults. You do not expect kids to maintain the same hygiene level required of adultsobviously, you haven't seen the Sunday school of some churches, worse than some nursery school setting. Moreover, don't you think the senior secondary school students are also old enough to be left alone? |
magictouch: ehnn thank you Oga, if they like, let them resume now. I keep telling my colleagues that my kids will never resume school until the vaccine for Ebola is found. infact I have discontinued the services of the lesson teacher i employed cos of this. one infected child can wipe out a whole family. 1 year loss in their academics will not kill them but Ebola will. What if the vaccine is never found, does that mean your children will continue to remain at home? That's very interesting.... Anyway, you're the owner of your kids. |
raphy: in my own view stayin homefor a long break is not good for young children, some girls can even get pregnant when their parents hv gone to work.they need to b in school.and the health minister need to provide ebola screening equipment fo all the schools in the country, that will be a sure way to fight the virus. wht do you guys think?Sensible |
Lucky77: Yeeee paripa oooooo. So are you saying that the kids cannot accidentally contract the virus in more crowded places like the market or commercial buses even under the guidance of their parents? #justsaying |
JustCurious: School children need be protected because they are more vulnerable. They know next to nothing about EVD, the symptoms and preventive measures. #Let the kids stay safeEven the senior secondary school students? specifically those preparing for next year's WASSCE? |
Calebosko: make ur troublesome brother go and die abi?if he catch am u go folowI still don't understand why you people think this way. Does it mean Ebola is already in the school waiting for the students in the school or you think staying at home all through the month till mid-next month guarantees not contracting the virus? ...... |
mathefaro: Oga Tony, please can you help me get a link for an e-book: "make today count by John Maxwell". I know this isn't an app but please I've been scouring for it on the net for quite a while without success. thanks In anticipation |

Hmmm! Observing the new trend #multiple applications of DE candidates. |
Please I want to know if you can help me get a replacement for a jiayu g4c's touch. They'd nothing wrong with the screen, it's not just responsive any longer |
11, if we want to consider positive integers alone but otherwise, I'm afraid that will be infinity o. I stand to be corrected though. smurfy: How many integer values of x simultaneously satisfy the following two inequalities: |
A person who thinks rationally will also know that shutting down the school while parents still go to their respective places of work still doesn't make any difference since nobody will be there to guide and caution the children even at home. Since universities and other tertiary institutions were not shut down, they should have at least left the senior secondary students to continue receiving their lectures normally, I believe they're matured enough to be monitored and cautioned within the school premises. buchio7: U can speak as much turenchi as ur dictionary will allow.... fact still remains dat no school nor its proprietor(ress) can love nor care for my child more Dan me...so he's protection is my main aim |
Frankenstein: Just one month extension will affect the academic lives of every Nigerian student? The end of first term can still be extended and all the schools will still meet up. The second term can also be elongated. This is not any major problem.First and foremost, one month might not affect the academic lives of EVERY Nigerian student but will surely affect MANY/MOST because even a single class at times matters a lot. Then secondly, this won't be a problem if the school calendar adjusted and elongated like you said the same thing with WAEC and UTME albeit I strongly doubt it'll happen. |
kackar22: Why are the public schools not complaining?they're not complaining because this is the type of scenario they always pray for, because no matter the length of the holiday, they get their payment and don't care about the effects on the students' academics |
buchio7: So to protect ur revenue frm school fees is more important Dan protecting defenseless children? ..........you mean the children ain't defenseless when they are not in the school, playing around, traveling from one city to another all in the name of holiday? Please you guys should look beyond the revenue part and look at how this move will affect the academic lives of these children who we claim are the future leaders. |
I hope WAEC, UTME and other exams will also be postponed next year because even without this delay, the students have a little time to prepare well and get enough tutoring especially when we know this generation of students are over-lazy. It is this same set of people that will condemn the poor performances of the children/students in the exams, some will even relate it with poor teaching. SMH for Nigerian education. Good help us o... |
tchigofigo: until d govt. orders d closing dwn of all other places of public function..then they jst tried killing a fly that perched on a big lump of poo with a sledge hammer...of course d fly didn't die.,?,if that's wat u asked.,they jst got a cool poo-splash all over..the markets, mosques n churches are also big selling points 4 our dear ebola..shut them all! |
thanks tonyx4x44: one app does all! |
rkarang: Thank you, brother! May the Lord continue to bless you siramen thanks |
LARRYDKING: i C u boss.yes o my brother, hope you're doing good |
