Brodaly no probs, The truth is that, most engineering student study engineering management here, i.e like 4 in every 5 engineering student. Uptil now i still dont know the main reason apart from the easyness of the course compared to other engineering descipline such as Electrical and
Mechanical. They dont have test or exams, its just assignment, report and presentation you will doing almost every other week.

hello house, i am on the verge of making a decision, someone advised on this forum that engineers should not go for engineering management course because it would be hard to get a job and a pr. however the school i applied to as advised me to take on either project management or masters of management. what should i do?
i studied metallurgical and material engineering in my first degree
Engineering Management is better, as you can take PM as a unit. All the Nigerians i know who took EM are doing well.

Postgraduate Research Sector (60-83 days).
Higher education sector ( 52- 59 days).
Schools Sector (40- 72 days).
Vocational education and training sector (52- 63 days).
The pictorial representations will help clear your doubts.
N/B... all these subclasses of Visa was finally rooted in to one subclass called Student subclass 500. If am wrong, please correct me.
From this now someone can know where he or she falls in the categories.
Thanks for the clarification sir.

I think the stipulated time stated on DIBP has changed to 60 - 83days, not 52 - 59days
bros I think the 52 - 59 days is for BSc, while msc is 60 - 83days, postgraduate research can be phd or msc whereas higher education can be any thing post secondary it's not specific

@ Blazegab. Each application has its own Uniqueness and as such can't be compared to other application. From the stipulated time stated on DIBP is 52 - 59 days. So if your application has surpassed this timeline you are free to send a reminder to them. In the past, from this particular thread and some one on one contact I had with some persons, I have seen Visa Grant of 3 weeks timeline, 1 month, 2, 3 months time line. In recent time, we have experienced and seen increase in the number of application submitted to DIBP and some few individuals making it hard for us because of their attitude in keeping to terms the agreement of the Visa rule. Hold on my dear like the Eagle we are there already.

Visa granted today.
So I applied on Feb 2nd for a February 26, 2017 resumption date. Some days after the school resumed the embassy requested for extension letter, flinders said they do not give extension letter to nursing student cos there's an exam during the 3rd week of resumption, and once you miss the resumption date then there's no point coming again. So I deferred to February 2018 cos there isn't a July 2017 start date for my course and went on with my life. An email was sent to them some weeks ago and they replied that my application is on queue for finalisation. I got my grant this evening. I hope everyone get their visa grants.
Congrats to you and everyone that got their grant today.

You must not pay 19300, I think the bench mark is 8k, your agent should have helped you out on this.

Hi guys

Students are sending me their SOP to review for them and I must say most are not good enough while few are fantastic. SOPs are very important and it shouldn't be more than 2 Max In order not to bother the case officer handling 100s of applications.

You don't have to keep repeating you will come back to your country after my studies in all the paragraph. They know most students don't go back and they know the wage and salary payable in our countries and it is hard for someone to pay that amount to study abroad and return to their country and be earning 200k monthly when you can earn 10k dollars in oz.

In your interest, you SOP should be more of your experience, knowledge, motivation, achievements, future plans. Sell yourself like we do in job interviews.

It is crazy waiting for so long to know the outcome of visa applications.

Please if you truly intend to study abroad. Australia is far better in terms of quality of education, standard of living and other stuffs we look forward to go going abroad.

If you have submitted and still waiting, please be patient a little, where you are going is nearer than where you are coming from.

Australia is far better and there are lots of opportunities here. The minimum wage you get here is around $20 as casual while in Canada they pay like $12 and USA pay like $10.

If you intend to apply for visa, it is better you give at least three month before school resumes to apply for your visa to forestall delays.

Just be patient, believe me it is worth it and there are lots of Chinese, Indians and other Asians here because they enlighten themselves and encourage others to come and chop the life.

We should also research information ourselves before we starting asking questions that have been answered one too many times already.

Yes most students are working to pay tuition here, it is possible.

By God's grace, it will be joy for all of us.
Thanks for the enlightenment. "More grease to your elbow"

Hello guys quick on I'll like to knw what the implications of the Australian citizenship bill that was rejected yesterday be on the fastness of student visa grant and the students visa generally
I think it's about how easy to become a citizen, a rep. Was proposing a bill of stringent measures to become a citizen. Some parts of it said you have to live in Australia for abt a decade and higher english demand requirement, but was rejected by the senate. So status quo remain the same. Immigrants stated rejoicing, which means a good news for them.

Most of the questions asked by people shows most of us are very lazy and we just want to be served at all times

It is better if we endeavour to make adequate research and most of the questions have been answered if only we can spend few hours to read through the thread.

The world has really improved to the extent that Google has most of the answers instead of waiting on others.

For crying out loud we all want to travel to developed countries which defers to naija and it is essential we start cultivating th habit of being independent.
.

My broda, if everyone is going to Google, there won't be any need for this forum and there is no such thing as stupid question. If a question is asked the answer benefit a lot of people that are shy to ask. For example you need some info as soon as possible and you ask a question here and another person refer you to read from part 1 to 3 how will you feel? common guys let's be our brothers keeper and lend a hand no matter what. Go to Canada student thread, you will be amazed how everyone wants to help. Brothers and sisters let's work together.
