I'm still saying the same thing, curable or not I won't. This is not a game, but real life. The only reason I'll marry such a an is if he worth it. And he must make it known to his family he's the one with fertility issues. Then we're good to go, if not, I'll move on.
There you have your reason 'IF HE IS WORTH IT ', so therefore you will go ahead if he is worth it. Exactly what I've been explaining, 'The worth attached to your spouse versus the worth of having a kid'. Even though a great majority will not for any reason marry an infertile person, few would if the spouse is 'WORTH IT '

Mind you, I'm not forcing anyone to subscribe to my opinion, maybe it's because I'm just being a realist that's why my opinion was contaminated by the bitter truth, which you found offensive.

Do you know that it's very easy for many of you to lay your hands on your keypads claim you can do this and that, but in the real sense, you practically do otherwise.

The truth of the matter is that, everyone has got a standard and choice in life, and I believe that my standard and choice has nothing to do with me, being matured or immature. However, some many marry prostitutes or single mothers out of their personal choice while some men see it as a huge risk which they can't put their neck in

Personally speaking and general summarizing, the beauty of marriage of children. Take it or leave it
They say that all generalizations are false, so generally summarizing doesn't do it. It is equally easy for people to lay their hands on their keypads and 'generally summarize' about people's individual choices.

There are always people who do not comply with the herd mentality, the popularity of an idea does not make it stand above the less popular, it just means that most people subscribe to it.

If I say that I can marry a person who cannot bear a child, because you do not see from my eyes, do not claim that I am deceiving myself.
Even though I agree in this case that it is easier said than done, but do not forget that every thing in this world is easier said than done. But they still get done. By sheer resolve.

That's why I said love is an illusion but when reality sets it, they will compromise their stand.

It's just like when two AS patients get married out of the illusion of love, but when the consequences of their action tell on their children, they hate themselves for taking stupid decisions
Love is not an illusion my friend, illusion is illusion, love is love.
Unlike two AS patients in this scenario only one person has a choice - the person without the problem. And so it boils down to priority.. What is more important in this marriage - spouse or kid. While the majority will pick the 'kid', the few would pick their 'spouse', all subject to the one person's choice and resolution.

The consequences he would be ready to bear when already resolved to bear it.
A foolish choice is still a choice, a stupid decision is still a decision, and life goes on.

@ tosyne2much and sirfee, you guys are too quick to label others who do not share your position, stop being immature. If this was a debate, is this how you'll respond to your opponents?

On the subject matter, place yourself in the position of the person who is unable to have a child, how would you feel if because of that your spouse leaves you, would you resign yourself to being single all your life, and not secretly wish for someone who will overlook your situation?

If you can resign yourself to single life, do you believe you deserve it?

If you can't, then you will agree with me that there'll be some kind of joy in you when you realize that you've found someone who will stay.. Some people are there to bring joy into other people's lives. Even if not having kids is the price they pay.

I think in the process of convincing you, I've succeeded in convincing myself, so my answer to the OP is YES I CAN. It's all about choice mehn..

You are serving us this because it's just a thread that demands your reply, this is life man, you gotta be realistic with it... One thing that is constant in life is ''change'', on the inability to bore children state of your marriage, there will be pressure from all directions(you should know what I mean),,, it will surely get to a point when you start pressuring yourself maybe after seeing your friends, neighbours and their kids, you might succumb to these pressures and then it leads to ''You know what'', would it not be best if you call it off before it gets too late
Not everyone is that heartless, there are those who will consider the trauma they would be causing to their spouse if they left them to their misery. Not everyone has the heart to abandon someone they love over something that cannot be helped. This is where resolution comes in, and you hear Men telling their wives /fiancees something like ' I'll love you until the end '. There are a few people who can actually do this, and they live amongst us.

Not everybody bows to the pressures you highlighted.
Never underestimate the power of love.

I think in an issue like this, let's learn to argue like a typical Nigerian but not like a foreigner

Let me tell you something, no one is completely fulfilled without being able to bear a child. Even people who adopt children did it because it's their last resort.
Bearing a child is not the ultimate purpose of marriage - there is a handful of people who believe so, as odd as it sounds.
There's nothing wrong in arguing outside the typical Nigerian way, it just means that our ideas are mixing up with those of the outside world.

I quite agree that there'll be some discomfort in not having your own kid, but there are still people who will be OK with it.. I don't know about myself.

I think people who say this deceive themselves, there is a joy you have realizing you have your own flesh and blood, a child you can truly call your own.

The one you want to adopt, no be person born am? If everybody is Okay with inability to give birth, where will you see the one you will adopt. Abegiii leave matter
are you saying a person that is unable to have a child doesn't deserve to be married?

If Yes, that is totally unfair to those people, and that would leave a black mark on the virtues of the marital institution. Meaning that marriage is not meant for all.

If No, then you believe that the ones who marry these people are deceiving themselves.

You underestimate the power of choice.

Ok, you're right, likewise 'bad guys' sometimes do not get the best in life, so there was absolutely no reason to make the statement that 'good people sometimes do not get the best in life' if you were not insinuating that many good people do not get the best in life.

I'm asking because I want to know if I can discover an opportunity for my company to come in being into inspection and servicing. I'd really appreciate any information I can get.

Where's the picture of the driver to proove he survived because I don't see how the driver can survive. Infact only a small child sitting in the driver's seat can survive this. By the way, that's not Port Harcourt, that's trailer park in oyigbo ph/aba express way. The worst road in rivers state. Port Harcourt city doesn't have that kind of road.
Yes, you're right about the location.. The driver was actually not in the car, he came down when he foresaw the danger, and was even helping the trailer driver to navigate, but things went wrong in the end. Nevertheless he was far from the car.

If suffering wasn't part of God's plan, then how can such a thing ever come into existence?

If he doesn't enjoy watching people/animals suffer, why can't he stop it? Being a supposedly omnipotent god.

words evolve and their meanings change, religion is not only the belief in God these days but also the belief in a superhuman or superior order needed for the progress of mankind communism, humanism ,liberalism, transhumanism and secularism these are the new age religions. so one can disbelieve in god and still be religious
Yes ,one can disbelieve in god and still be religious, just like one can believe in god and still be irreligious.

The contrasting view to atheism is not religion, which is where most people are missing it, including the OP, it is theism that is in stark contrast to atheism.

So religious atheists--- YES
irreligious atheists--- YES

Religious theists --- YES
irreligious theists -- YES
Religion / Re: Is Atheism A Religion? by matrix600(m): 8:26am On Apr 18, 2017

What is the OP trying to say then?
He's saying that not everyone who lacks belief in god is an atheist.
He means that there are people who do not believe in a god, who are also not atheist, he claims that atheism is a lack of belief in religion.

And so our argument is thus: anyone who does not believe in a god is an atheist, it is the belief or lack of, that makes the difference, atheism is a lack of belief in a deity/god( says I)

How does the bolded even relate?Besides, they grieved for her virginity not death...

She was his only child, go figure.

In the original jewish texts, the hebrew word 'i' meant either or/and...so that verse could have been interpreted as he would either consecrate or sacrifice the first thing that came out of his house...
and how does consecration or sacrifice translate as 'burnt offering'?

How can a multitude of women grieve for one woman's virginity? What sense does that make..

When Samuel was offered to the service of God, was he offered as a burnt offering?

It's clear that Jephthah's daughter was offered as a 'burnt offering' to God, and here you are saying otherwise.

Are you insinuating that the Bible translators could not tell the difference between a living sacrifice and a burnt offering?
