Religion / Re: What Is The Extent Of Faith? by matrix600(m): 9:14pm On Mar 12, 2017
Faith in my opinion has no limit. Faith is fuelled by delusions of grandeur, that people never seem to run out of.
Faith is buckled with ability to believe even the most fantastical notions, and claiming them to be facts without any substantiation.
Healthy skepticism allows you to wonder and investigate how it is possible for a virgin to give birth , faith closes that door and tells you accept it like that.

When a person in need of blood transfusion refuses to accept external blood because of faith, it tells you a lot, that even to the death, faith still holds strong to those who live by it. This is because faith is anchored in the hope of another life.

In summary, there is no extent to faith.

Religion / Re: Why Jesus Needed To Be Born By A Virgin by matrix600(m): 4:15pm On Mar 12, 2017
At this age and time people still believe that a virgin gave birth.
This has gone beyond joke, I don't understand how a full grown human being can deliberately convince himself that a virgin actually gave birth.
This is really serious.

Religion / The Judgement Of Yahweh by matrix600(m): 5:39pm On Mar 03, 2017
It is a popular concept in Christian theology that at an appointed time perhaps when the world has come to an end or when a person does, that there will be JUDGEMENT, where the goats will be separated from the sheep.
I keep on wondering, would God (Christian one) be free of this judgement? Knowing how much he interferes in the affairs of Man? From blessing Man(Abraham, David) to trying Man(Job, Abraham) to hating people right from birth(Esau etc.) to punishing man(too numerous to mention) to outright annihilation of Man(too numerous to mention) to even slaughter of children(too numerous to mention).

If after all his involvement with Man, is he absolutely blameless for how some men turned out to be? Does he not deserve to be judged for his participation in the existence of every man no matter their take in life?

His influence on man cannot be overstated, so in my opinion he deserves to be judged as well as everyone.

Forgive me for going off topic, I have a question that I'll like to share, my lil bro has been having doubts about God and he's been asking questions pertaining his belief, he's just 14.........I'm wondering if I should tell him straight up that God most likely doesn't exist or let him find out by himself. Cc Hahn, seun, hopefullandlord, sonOflucifer, jonbellion.
I personally would not advice you tell him that, agnoticism and atheism are like journeys that anyone who has found themselves on the road should get to that destination by thmselves, you are free to share your worldview with him but dont direct his life by outrightly telling him that God does not exist, its metamorphoses, he has to come out of it with his own conviction, not yours.

Read again and note the part where I said 'clears it for me'. You are allowed to believe whatever rocks your boat dear but please give your reasonable defence while you are at it. Who can defend Him? He who loved Jacob and disliked Esau while they were still in the womb. He who allowed a man to be born blind for His glory to be known. He who gives children to the concubine but leaves the housewife who married as virgin barren. The One who allowed the calamities that came upon Job. He who hardened the heart of the Egyptian king. He who allowed Judas betray his master and died for the betrayal but prayed for Peter who did worse to receive grace. I don't know who can defend Him. Neither do I know who can comprehend His ways.
That Yahweh guy is ridiculous, maybe a mental illness or something is the cause..

Thinking human: ***Quotes from the medical journal*** In the book of bla bla bla, do this and do that and you will achieve healing
Religious Human: ***Facepalm

No other proof for the veracity of the medical journals other than the medical journals

You see the point? Any argument for against is pointless.....

You're getting it wrong, unlike the Bible, medical journal does not claim absolutism, it is subject to improvement in the medical field.

A medical journal of 1950 is not the same as that of 2017, there have been a lot of additions due to innovations and advancements in the field, same cannot be said about the Bible, no improvement, no innovation, nothing, and it's likely to be so in a thousand years to come.

So filling your head and mind with biblical quotes and dogma keeps you stuck 2000 years behind. So the argument didn't fail. It is spot on.

According to the Bible, Faith is not just a requirement, it is also in levels, it is possible, someone that has faith have prayed for the Annihilation of ISIS, but it is unlikely for Him/her to possess the degree of faith to make it come to pass.

However there are things that must happen as confirmation that the world is near its end. Maybe ISIS Is just one of them, and if it is, no amount of prayer can change it.
One thing I've realised in Christianity is that no matter the outcome of any situation, there's always an excuse for God when things go wrong, God is never culpable, Christians fight so hard with enough excuses just to preserve the immunity of God. There's always an excuse. Always..

Without Man, God is useless.
Without Man, God is empty, lifeless and non-existant.
God should be grateful to Man and worship him for the life we have given to him. For the creation of God was not a days work.

The OP is quite funny, you know it takes somebody who lacks empathy and conscience to agree with Yahweh's methods and love it. That's who a Christian is. People with no empathy and no love in their hearts. And they wonder how evil came to be, when Yahweh is the embodiment of evil himself. Who loves the smell of burnt flesh. Smh

For the atheist, does it mean nature doesn't care about all he is done? What if karma never got to him when he was alive? Or even if it those, could it compensate for all he is done? undecided
If we should bring God into the equation, you are to believe that this man is God's creation, and it is not possible for him to manifest an attribute that God didn't put in him. So therefore God is equally to blame for the atrocities manifested by his creations.

Karma is not an absolute law, there are people work so hard, sacrifice and give their all in life for the good of all, and they still go unappreciated and die in misery in the end, there are people who commit all the evil in the world and still die peacefully in their sleep at old age. Life is so. Let's not derail the topic though.

HCpaul:
Good question from the OP

Honestly, heaven is not safe. That is why we guys ain't interested in it. We've just come to realize that the perfect God cannot and will never create a perfect world but human being will.

Several wars broke up in heaven but the one that was recorded in the Bible was the final Heavens global war. Who knows how many cold wars that would have happened? Only god knows.

The boredom of heaven will lead to a peaceful protest and that protest will lead to serious agitation and that will cause a rancorous scenario which will then lead to a cold war before having the final global war in heaven call the "heavens global war 2".

really it does surprise me how much salvation is preached by Christians, they want to be saved from eternal punishment, but they fail to realize when they die and go to heaven, the place they think they'll be safe, it could turn out to be another earth, filled with discord and division due to the effect of freewill.
Humans and Angels may not be the same and equal, and this could lead to a class thing, with one group appearing superior to the other.

Another war could break out, and a new set of Angels or humans would fall.
The fact that it happened once according to Christian theology means there's a possibility of another rebellion or war breaking out in heaven.

Heaven can be described as
1. The abode of the Almighty God to a physical man, bit as I said it can't be equated to a physical place because the laws of the physical world are completely different from that of the spiritual.
This means Heaven will be more of a situation than a place.
2. Heaven can also mean different levels of righteousness , which in correlation to 1 above, means different situations/environments/stages for different levels of the faithful.
3. I hope you know the bible equates heaven as a place of righteousness and also as a place for the righteous. What this simply means that this is a level believers should aspire to get to

Heaven in earlier analogies was referred to as a place above the sky, this is correct and also wrong based on how you view it
As for rebellion, I want you to know that any being blessed with free will can rebel, but all the forces in the world both spiritual and physical combined can never be equal to the source of the force, so any rebellion can never shift the creators original plan for us, which is physical perfection matt 5.48, gen 1.26. Delay yes, Change never. Fortunately God is not bound by the laws of physical time.

The fact that we're not in the garden of Eden is obvious enough to know that something went wrong, or are you saying it was god's original plan to have Adam and Eve kicked out of the Eden?

About rebellion, if there's still freewill in heaven then there's also the possibility of another rebellion, after all it happened before.

Can you define Heaven.
We have several layers of heavens,
And don't equate it with a physical place.
Heaven as many understand it including me, is the final destination of the faithful and righteous believers, where they meet solace, peace, and eternal life, free from all the suffering and challenges of life. A place where God and his angels reside and where the righteous are awaited.

This is the popular understanding of what heaven is.
Although various religious groups have their different versions.

So give us your opinion...
Religion / Is Heaven Really Safe? by matrix600(m): 7:43pm On Jan 27, 2017
We hear of rebellion in heaven, how Lucifer led an army of angels to revolt against God, infuriating God.

We hear of the garden of Eden, the perfect place that God prepared for man to live, but the plan was sabotaged by the talking snake which deceived man.

It made me begin to wonder about the possibility of God's salvation plan being sabotaged by something or someone, perhaps another of his beloved angels, maybe Michael planning another coup'.
It made me wonder about the possibility of the heaven plan degrading to another failed plan. And God is forced to come up with another plan.

If Divine plan can be sabotaged once, what stops it from happening again?

If angels can rebel, what stops it from happening again...

Is heaven really safe?

Let us discuss...

He is hoping that we might be foolish enough not to notice the burnt and accept this false preaching.

Reverend fathers who give themselves as service to their God are actually offering burnt offering to their God... And they sau religion is not all about twisting the fact.
