I think if one is close to 50 or above can still japa for the future of the children if the children are below 18 years of age and has a good plan but not earning fat salary in Nigeria as per say millions of Naira a month.

Assuming at 50 one japa with 4 children below 18 years of age. By the time he is 55 those children have ILR ( indefinite leave to remain) by 57 those children are British Citizens.
