BluePearls: You don't need all that, and you need BlackBerry link and and not BlackBerry desktop manager to connect with your BB10 phone.
Simply go to settings ->networt & connections ->mobile Hotspot
Configure the Hotspot first-time and access it from your PC via wifi. I hope that helps
