Romance / Re: Hey guys how d'yu like your babes? 88, 11 or coke bottle? by MatureMe(f): 3:05am On Feb 14, 2006
Hi babagana, for us mature folks in the world after a few years of living you come to realize it doesn't really matter what shape a person is if you're wanting real and true love to exist in your life. I am thankful for choices.
Romance / Re: The Most Intriguing Love Story You Have Heard Or Watched In A Movie by MatureMe(f): 7:16am On Feb 12, 2006
Try Jason's Lyric with Allen Payne and Jada Pinkett and Love Jones with Lorenz Tate and Nia Long, 2 great black love movies.
Romance / Re: What Physical Features Turn You Off In Men? by MatureMe(f): 7:11am On Feb 12, 2006
Turn offs for me would be stank breathe and ashy feet and only after I politely told them to work on those areas in their lives and if they didn't listen then they are gone.
Romance / Re: Does Finance Matter In Any Relationship? by MatureMe(f): 7:06am On Feb 12, 2006
Money matters if you're thinking about marrying and starting a family. Before that there should be discussions on how you and the woman feel about money issues. This should be seriously talked about if the relationship is becoming more permanent.
Romance / Re: Hey guys how d'yu like your babes? 88, 11 or coke bottle? by MatureMe(f): 7:03am On Feb 12, 2006
I am so glad that men and women have differences in what they like from the opposite sex because many of us out here would be dateless or never marry. lol lol lol
Romance / Re: Looking For Some Help Please About A Relationship With A 5 Year Age Gap by MatureMe(f): 10:09pm On Jan 22, 2006
Please be patient with this, a 15 year old girl changes her mind quite often, don't move too fast, give her at least until 18 and don't pressure her either. I am not sure if this will work and just never know it might work. Respect her family too and you might see them make changes about how they feel about you too.
Romance / Re: Love, Attraction or Infatuation: Which Comes First? by MatureMe(f): 10:06pm On Jan 22, 2006
It's all about attraction, you have to like what you're seeing in order to take it somewhere else with another person. wink
Romance / Re: Single Mother Pregnant With My Child: Good For Marriage? by MatureMe(f): 10:03pm On Jan 22, 2006
You really need to seek some help from your pastor or someone you trust to help you through all of this, it can't be done by you alone. If the lady is sincere then why not focus on marrying her because God is forgiving of all the mess we do why not be forgiving of her if she plans on making changes. Really work on making this relationship work but this time don't forget to include God in all your decisions and re-establish your born-again status!!!!!!
Romance / Re: How Do You Approach a Lady for a Relationship? by MatureMe(f): 9:54pm On Jan 22, 2006
As I have gotten older the men that have approached me have gotten better too, you know why?  They simply said hello and I in return said hi and they continued the conversation by being themselves, they didn't appear to be putting on an act for me because I usually see through the bull.  hahaha  If a woman want to be bothered with you she will let you know by the smile on her face and other gestures and the body language.  Please don't ever be afraid to approach any woman you deem to be beautiful in your eyes.  Hang in there.

Romance / Re: How Nice Should I Be To Someone Who Jilted Me? by MatureMe(f): 9:41pm On Jan 22, 2006
Hello truthhurts, since he is being so friendly, now would be a good time to ask him why he did what he did to you that's if you can hold off long enough from hating him so much, you might be able to get that settled and eventually stop hating him so much and move on or be his friend, you control all of that not him no matter what he has done to you in the past. Don't give him that much power over you, it isn't worth it.

Nairaland / General / Re: When Almost Everything Is Working Against You by MatureMe(f): 6:22pm On Jan 05, 2006
In my own personal way when things are not working out for me on any given day, I lean closer to God by reading some scriptures then give my worries/troubles/problems over to him and make a conscious effort to move on because there is nothing else I can do once I turn things over to God. Oh and things usually look better after a good night's sleep, it will pass. Believe that.
Romance / Re: Crack (Cocaine) or Love, Which Is More Powerful? by MatureMe(f): 6:12pm On Jan 05, 2006
LOVE is more powerful than any negative thing here on Earth and you reap more positive benefits out of LOVE when you show it without any convictions or ulterior motives.

Romance / Re: What Does Love Mean To You? by MatureMe(f): 6:39am On Jan 01, 2006
Love = God!!!!!

My meaning of love is someone being there for you on your not so good days and this can include your family, friends and a special person in your life. Love means patience, not judging, being fulfilled and loving myself with all the flaws I have.

Nairaland / General / Re: Saying "Sorry" by MatureMe(f): 2:05am On Jan 01, 2006
Saying you're sorry has to be something you do on a regular basis just like saying thank you and excuse me.  It takes practice and not being scared to put your feelings out there for others to see your vulnerability and your human side.  It comes with maturity too and knowing that you may not get a reward in return (i.e. a pat on the back).  Alot of the time you have to be the bigger person in many interpersonal relationships with others you encounter.  Practice makes better and easier for you to say I am sorry when it's warranted.
Nairaland / General / Re: Women with both Beauty and Brains by MatureMe(f): 1:57am On Jan 01, 2006
I am so glad that beauty is in the eye of the beholder because if not most of us would never date or get married. First impressions are not always based on intelligence we all know you have to actually talk to the person to hear if they have any kind of smarts about them which can be a challenge these days. haha

By your own definition of beauty and brains it might be difficult to find your person but if we can only look past those things there are great people in this world to like and love and even marry. Happy hunting. smiley smiley
Romance / Re: She Refuses To Give In To My Proposals by MatureMe(f): 1:30am On Jan 01, 2006
Hi cushman, if she really appeared to be in tuned with you at the time you were "just friends" then don't give up on her anytime soon. I would ask her again why she doesn't want to go out on a date. Women can at times be fickle and are not always accustomed to a gentleman who can see they are worthy. smiley smiley
Romance / Re: Man or Woman, Who Should Pay on a Restaurant Date? by MatureMe(f): 1:24am On Jan 01, 2006

Romance / Re: Man or Woman, Who Should Pay on a Restaurant Date? by MatureMe(f): 5:33pm On Dec 31, 2005
Whomever is doing the asking should pay. Now if there seems to be a spark between the 2 people involved then the woman might feel compelled to ask the man out the next time and then she should be paying and communicating this all up front would be best for both people.
Romance / Re: Would You Date a Girl/Boy With Dreadlocked Hair? by MatureMe(f): 5:28pm On Dec 31, 2005
Sure I would as long as we had respect for each other. grin
Romance / Re: What Would You Do? by MatureMe(f): 5:26pm On Dec 31, 2005
Did she see you?
Romance / Re: Why do Celebrities have Relationship and Marital Problems? by MatureMe(f): 5:15pm On Dec 31, 2005
If one starts off with flash in the beginnings of a relationship then that is what you have to maintain, now if you start off really being yourself and truthful then everything else will fall in place. Yep there will still be some issues because we all have our opinions on different matters but do what is in your heart and try to let things flow naturally. If a person is going to like you then so be it and if not move on especially if you're looking for more than a play thing (this applies to men and women). Money is important but it isn't everything!!!! Neither is celebrity status.
Health / Re: Why Do Women Hate Smoking? by MatureMe(f): 5:09pm On Dec 31, 2005
I don't like smoking at all because I love kissing and funky smoky breathe from my significant other is a huge turn-off!!! It isn't good for one's health at all.
