I think this was the point that Lastpage (Wife + Husband included ) and others was missing, me/others coming here to expose Bosun does not mean that without his refund or whatever i/we will not make progress, if lastpage see's my house now i am sure he will faint , never in his dream would he have thought I could pull that off. Common guys, give me a damn break !!. Does Spyder have 2 heads, 4 legs, 2 stomachs, 10 brains ??

Spyder, Still have a great deal of respect for you. This guy builds houses for people in diaspora and he may not have seen them before, he just delivers as agreed.

Since when is the owner of the project is now responsible to answer any questions regarding drawings produced by a paid "so-called" engineer/ builder, but the later doesn't have to defend what he was paid for? You had better be careful, don't mistake stupidity for a courage!

I wish the verdict to be guilty with jail term, and his supporters can also be sent to jail as well if there was such a thing . I see Bosun will not be the only person in jail, he might enjoy some crayon coloring with his buddy as well.

Being one of the people who gave Brabus a chance and he messed it up big time. Here is how I see things. I have known Bosun for almost 5 years now. Comes across as a builder (but he's not a builder, he hires workers (some competent, majority are not, then refuses to pay them)), but what he really does best is package/document things often with western ideas, hence why he resonates well with people in diaspora. He also knows how to use social media/emails/technology etc, so for someone who is not in Nigeria, this works well. Thank God internet is now for the masses, I have my bricklayer/pop/iron bender/carpenter/plumber etc all on whatapp now. This was not the case 4/5 years ago. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

What happened ?

Bosun Shoyoye / Brabus was allowed to use this platform to promote his criminal deeds and to also proceed from it. Often defrauding people in the diaspora. Nairaland was like his second home and his second wife, he could not help himself, he often preyed on the desire of people in the diaspora to own thier own home in Nigeria and not fall victim of family fraudsters etc. Family fraudsters are even worse.

why was it allowed to go on ?

My view is that some rub my back, I rub your back was going on between some senior controlling office holders of the NL hierarchy. I have no proof, so this is just a theory.

What could have changed ?

I have said it countless number of times that Bosun is making Nairaland a platform for fraud, you only have to click on my posts to look at it. You will notice that I have said this so many times. It is a good thing that he is getting this kind of negative publicity. I feel that the mods could have created a sticky about Bosun and his antics to warn others. If not for the collective efforts of people like myself/3strikes/brag3/Qc1 who have exposed Bosun Shoyoye and his actics, I am sure it will still be going on now. We managed to stop him on his tracks since August, at least to stop posting google pictures, defrauding people and deceiving others.

It it also a shame that we have some monikers who clearly support his antics, we have users like lastpage/excuseme/Azuh and a chap called Agarawu or so.

lol - new monikers ke - mavverick is still standing under the moniker mavverick.

Remember that some of those in Diaspora have investments in Nigeria, it has suddenly lost value big time. Some have family members there, and now they will be levied harder as the suffering bites harder. Maybe someone building from diaspora exactly now its not too bad, but there are consequences as well. Who wants to have an investment in a failed country, personally I would take a healthy Nigerian economy over increased value of foreign currency.

If you look at the Gen, there should be a section there which gives an indication of the load (specification). The one below is my Gen, and 6,500 watts equates to about 6.5Kv using a power factor of 1, but I would not be comfortable putting more than 5Kv load on it.

As per noise, Haji I think we have difference tolerance levels for noise (lol). I have seen/heard silent Gens and although this my Gen is Firman, I dont think its that mega quiet, but in Nigeria terms I guess it is.

Most commercial/Office/Supermarket/Shopping centres buildings in the UK especially where a data centre is present, would have a generator (mainly Caterpillar, Cumins and Perkins) as backup, when I have been in buildings running generator test etc, I have hardly heard them. They are similar to the ones shown in the K1 house etc, and that to me is my desired standard.

So those people that sell foundation, is it that one cannot do his/her own foundation and what you get is land + foundation then you come in and do your block work then finish it off ?

It appears one has to do duplex for that kind of place, not anything you like.

Kubwa is not that far from the city center, say 20-30minitues drive.

I know of land along Arab contractor road and half a plot is 15m upward.

One can also buy foundation for duplex inside urban shelter brick city for 5m (though, that depend on the size of the duplex)

I must hold my hands up, the 2m quoted was just a finger in the air figure, i do not know anything about Abuja properties, my point was just that if these lands were that cheap, not a lot of people would be renting and i have heard that renting is typically a good investment in Abuja, how true I dont know, it just seems to be a general consensus.

Be careful with these respray business, I dont know much about it but when i was looking for roofs aprox 12 months ago, i had a recommendation from someone and then we went there, only to find that the guys stone coated roof was being painted behind the counter. Painting works, but it needs to be done correctly with the correct paint materials, the idea is that it should withstand heat/rain etc.

Hello Ogas in the house. Please I need an advise on my roofing project. A site engineer freind of mine introduced me to someone that just changed his long span roofing to step-tiles. The long span is 0.45 and still in good shap (according to my layman's view). This will save me a lot of costs monetary wise. I was made to understand that roofing factories can repair the nail holes and repray it to whatever color I desire and use it for my building and it will look as good as near new. I want to know if this is truly possible and if it's a good idea. The house it was removed from is way bigger than mine and it's most likely to be more than enough. I'm still planning to take my carpenter to see the aluminium sheets but I need professional advise here first. Thanks for your anticipated advise.

Also, how far is Kubwa from central Abuja and is the road good ?

But places like suleja where 2bedroom goes for N250-N300k, kubwa for N800K UPWARD.

land is relatively cheap in suleja... A plot can goes for 1.5m in very good area

This your argument on cars might not fly. It might interest you to know that it is younger renters, bachelors and spinsters that buys cars very early. The likelihood of all 8 younger renters, bachelors and spinsters having a car is very high. This means that there will be constant quarrels and fights and you will have to be coming to the place to settle the fights. I live in a six flats compound that can pack more than 8 cars. There is one guy that started trying to oppress everybody of recent. he will just come and arrogantly pack 4 cars in the compound. Luckily, most people do not have two cars. Even one guy that has one car will just jejely pack it on the street. When he saw that nobody was paying attention to him, three of the cars suddenly disappeared. Some people are just trouble makers.

Get yourself a colour chart from Dulux or the other paint people. you will see so much choices that after a while self, you fit confuse . At least thats what I did.

There is also a Dulux app, so I uploaded the picture of my house and then did a virtual paint, so I got a feel for what it looked like. When that one no do me, I browsed online for inspiration, when I found what I liked, I told my paint people to gimme that paint, and told my painter to nack it on the house

Thanks Rotech for answering my questions. As per the 2-5 bar, i doubt if most houses get that in Nigeria if gravity fed without a pressure machine or pump.

Lastly, how many meters higher than a shower rose should a tank be ? The calculation that i use is 1m = 0.1 bar. Thames water here which use a mains pump machine is like 1 bar. Will 0.2 bar be sufficient for Nigeria to take a shower ? I hear some say 5 feet above shower rose.

Oga maverick, you are right, the issue with Nigeria pressure pipe is that most of them can't withstand medium or high pressure most domestic houses needed, due to low and surbstand materials used to manufactured them, (no standard control of product in Nigeria any more) so once you place 2-5bar pressure on them they will boast so also the China made fitting they with it. ( some Nigerian like cheap thing sha).more so most copper pipe in the market now are not real copper as you might think, so thinking of encho pipe and technogreen pipe now are just the best for standard house. ( this is Nigeria we have sub standard structure) .
They design encho pipe and technogreen in a way that if tonsion force act on a structure (although this doesn't happen much in Nigeria expect where there is a bill board) the pipe will still go back to its position withouts any breakage . so if you are building a medium , high rise or towal building or you need medium or high pressure of water in your building go for tech or encho product, if its bungalow with low pressure bar use Nigeria pipe ( although all hand are not equal)
