In democracy you wield political power not technocratic power. Technocrats can only work under the supervision of a politician. That's the way democracy is designed. Obama, Johnson, Bush, Biden etc are all seasoned politicians who employ technocrats to fulfil their campaign promises. Since Obi is not a seasoned politician he will fail in many areas that need political manuevering . Same reason I never supported Osibanjo for president. He is a technocrat.

The conceptualisation of the rail began during Jakande and not Tinubu. Tinubu did not pay a dime for the kick start of the rail. It was Ambode that paid heavily for the kick starting of the rail and he could not completed it because he didn't get second term.
The same Ambode that you people said derailed from Tinubu's plan, he was the same man that cleaned up Oshodi, start the blue rail, added to the BRT buses,built many bridges and roads just for 4 years. If we have to place side by side, Tinubu never measure up to him in term of achievement and he only spent 4 years while Tinubu spent 8.
All the people Obi used are technocrats , after his tenure all of them went back to their professions while Tinubu used career politicians and that is why many of them find it difficult leaving politics. They fight him and before you know they still come back because they cannot survive outside politics. Or you hear that any Obi commissioner is stranded anywhere in the world. Many of them are lecturers, business men and women with known enterprise. So comparing career politicians with technocrats is unwise of you and your likes.

Obi also spent 8 years with his "technocrats". What did they achieve that you can point to today. Remember what Soludo said about Obis investments. Tell me Obis antecedents. What did he achieve when he was gov for 8 years ? Compare him to what Tinubu achieved. Then pick the better of the two. Even Soludo couldn't lay hand on what Obi achieved. Hero beer investment is next to nothing according to Soludo. Same for Obiano.

You people should stop this hyping. Tinubu did not do all you listed, it was the handiwork of Fashola and Ambode, which SanwoOlu came to complete. Tinubu in his 8 years didn't build a single bridge and you can fact check me for that if I am lying. That Tinubu is the godfather of Lagos, that doesn't mean all works of his successors should be attributed to him. Tinubu did little during his tenure. He promised to build 21 millennium schools, one in each local government area before the expiration of his tenure but only built 4. If I ask you Tinubu achievements during his 8 years tenure, you will be reeling out Fashola's and Ambode's achievements. The way you're linking him to a project just commissioned last year by Buhari to him and electric BRT done by Ambode and SanwoOlu .You guys should have little shame now. Tinubu brought many people that are still doing well into political limelight including former VP Osibanjo whom Tinubu recruited from the university. That is true leadership. Can you name 2 people that came into limelight through Obi ? He is simply not a leader in the mould of Tinubu. That's my grouse with the way some obidients overhype him and denigrate Tinubu's contributions to political space. With regards to projects I didn't denigrate Fashola and Ambodes roles but non of them conceptualized the projects. Blue rail, red rail, Lekki development were all elaborately planned for during Tinubu's tenure. Lastma, Lawma etc were all started under Tinubu and his successors continued because they respected his vision. Part of what caused Ambodes problem with Tinubu was that he tried to deviate from Tinubu's master plan for Lagos. Tinubu ensured projects were aligned by succeding govs and that has helped Lagos exceedingly. That is what other states lack - no continuity of projects by govs. In Anambra Obiano and Soludo discountenanced Obis projects and did there own things. Today, Soludo is starting all over again. I am not saying Tinubu is perfect but from what I have seen the most visionary politician alive today. He envisioned his people like Osibanjo to make way for his coming and he guessed right.

How many people in Anambra became rich through Obi. Many of them came to Lagos from Anambra and benefited from Tinubu's liberalization of business in Lagos. What did Obi achieve in Anambra during his tenure?
