Many residents of Adani, an agricultural community, fleeing the area to neighbouring communities in Nsukka and Igboetiti Local Government Areas You run for safety if there is danger lurking, no security around and you cannot defend yourself. As done by the residents of Adani. This is the same thing the Yewa people of Ogun state did. The only difference is the community near by happened to be in a different country - Benin. We shall overcome. |

elmessiahs: There is nothing like abandoned project, please continue where your predecessor stopped. If Wike has continued the Songhai farms, fish farms, waste to wealth, etc. most of the backlash Rivers people are having in term of employment would not be there. Now Ogoni people have started killing themselves because of idleness, this is the same people Wike brainwashed to destroy and burn their banana plantations- after then they became unemployed. What you see BURNA doing was basically attending to a humanitarian crisis. Excellent point. Governors should Continue and improve on the work of their predecessors. This partly explains why Fashola achieved so much as governor. He did not abandon what he inherited, instead, he completed and improved on them. |

Nigerians can’t patronize this airline spending millions of dollars annually and be subjected to this treatment. It is totally unacceptable.
Meanwhile, Hadi Sirika should see to the timely completion of the Akanu Ibiam Airport international wing upgrade (Enugu). |

Subsidybad21: Because it is impossible to make if free...unless we earn 5 times or more the amount of income we earn
Denmark has free education from cradle to grave. It also has a tax to gdp ratio of 46% . Nigeria's tax to gdp ratio just got up to 6.1%..meaning if we want free educaiton, we have to make more people pay tax, and at a higher rate too. Thanks for explaining it Some people feel everything should be free like the air we breathe in. |

lexy2014: Does an LCDA generate it's own funds? U don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that a state govt can't be going around building new headquarters for it's LCDAs Local govt Areas receive funding from the federation acct. Igbogbo/Bayeku is an LCDA. It is not autonomous like an LGA. LCDAs receive support from the state. This support aided to fund the secretariat. (Mere LCDA IGR in 2 years didn’t pay for this secretariat). This is what I meant in my previous comment. I applaud the Chairman but I equally applaud Gov Sanwo-Olu I applaud Asiwaju Tinubu as well, who created the LCDAs in the first place to spread development and governance throughout Lagos state. God bless Lagos. God bless SW Nigeria |

Goodman247: liar, the average Nigerian is greedy, begging has become part of Nigeria culture, they want kickbacks Everytime, poor people in other countries don't beg at all. Well to do people in Nigeria do not beg strangers and everyone they see for money. The people begging are not well to do. They are not making a lot of money. People with very good jobs or business (e.g. making over N250,000 per month) do not beg strangers for money. This is pretty straightforward. |

It’s because of their low pay. Nigerians are prideful people. They will never beg anyone for money if they were well to do financially.
This money basically supplements their income. |

BSdetector: This has always been my reasoning.....SW governors would achieve more for their states and regions if they work together, individual growth won't do much, regional growth is the only way. @aremuforlife and @BSdetector I agree with you wholeheartedly. Our governors in the SW need to work together to bring the region forward. Especially Ekiti, Ondo and Osun states. For instance, there is one airport in akure serving these three states, so they need to work together to put it to optimal use (The airport should not be seen as “Ondo state airport”, but a regional one serving the tri-state area). Ado-ekiti to Akure is about an hour’s drive Ilesa to Akure is less than 2 hour’s drive So, what is keeping the Governors from working together? Two heads is better than one. God bless Yorubaland |
