[quote author=wwwihy post=99885098]Good comparison... We have made tremendous progress at home courtesy Government of Lagos State led by Former Governor and Incoming President of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu and succeeding administrations in Lagos State.
Unlike some miscreants and wailers comparing the best over there with our worst here, you have tried to strike a balance and being objective in your comparison.
Actually, the new Lagos Bus Shelters have Places to Sit
God Bless you my Sister God Bless People of Nigeria and Canada God Bless the Queen , the Head of State of Canada, the Governor-General and the Prime Minister,Justin Trudeau. Only true Lagosians would know and appreciate this.
Goke7: You guys should learn to take responsibility for your decisions and not resort to blame games all the time. You blame Yorubas for the civil war, you blame Yorubas for the underdevelopment in the SE, you blame Yorubas when elections don't go your way, you blame yorubas for not having your own country when you are all over the SW, everything you lots hate and don't feel comfortable with you blame the Yorubas. Finally You rejoice when there is violence and destruction anywehere in the SW even if its Mile 12 We are tired of your blame games and antics.
Goke7: since the SE can't catch up with the SW in terms of livability and development, any destruction in the SW is a welcome development to the igbos, we saw this during the endsars crisis.
Wickedfacts: That Yewa stretch is very important to the fulani expansionist agenda. Yewa is a border region with access to Republic of Benin. The fulanis hope to control that area to give them access to Republic of Benin.
Last year, Republic of Benin dealt seriously with fulani herdsmen, killed their cows and chased them out of the country, hence the herdsmen ran to Yewa area and started their nonsense there.
In the early 2000s, Buhari came to Oyo State and asked Lam Adesina the then Governor that "Why are your people killing my people". Lam blasted him and thoroughly scolded him. It is that same Buhari that the Ooni is going to meet because Fulanis were displaced in Oyo. You think Buhari doesn't know what he is doing?
Don't be deceived, all fulanis both high and low are aware this. Do you know that during the border closure, Yewa people were not allowed to move goods in and out of Benin Republic but Dangote and Rabiu, both Fulanis from faraway Kano were given clearance by Buhari another fulani man from faraway Katsina to import goods from Benin Republic through the closed borders in Yewa. What happened during the border closure and what is happening now is not mere coincidence.
The attacks are being coordinated at the highest level.
Amotolongbo: These strangers coming to live in our land should not have been allowed to have a secluded settlement at all, let alone having their own ruler. This their grouping together has given them the chance to successfully unite and rebel against the host
You are right and it is very unfortunate. Now, it is difficult to undo what’s been done (but not impossible)
babaolofin: Nigerians, Senator Tolu Odebiyi is a Yewa man. He represents Yewa people at the Senate while Amosun represents Ogun Central. Senator Tolu Odebiyi is just at the National Assembly as a PA to Amosun. Both Odebiyi and Amosun have never said anything during the killings at Yewa area. I have complained bitterly about the negligence of Yewa people by Odebiyi and his master Amosun and called upon Senator Solomon Olalekan Adeola (YAYI ) from Lagos to remember his people in Yewa.
It is when they have become refugees that Odebiyi and his master Amosun now remember to call government to bring them back without finding solution to herdsmen killing and raping in the area. Odebiyi and Amosun want to make friends and money at the National Assembly, they don't want to talk about Fulanis because of the Fulani people controlling Nigeria money and power. When Igboho visited Yewa the Senators were hiding. Dapo Abiodun found it hard to constitute AMOTEKUN for the area until they become refugees.
RoyalUc: The looted fund belongs to Delta State. If the condition for the return of the said loot by UK is for the FG to sign a MoU on the judicious use of the fund, then FG should use it to execute projects in Delta State which is already in need of several developmental projects.
The fed govt should just apply the funds for Delta state projects. The MOU should have accommodated this.
Okowa should make sure the funds are applied to Delta state and no other state. This is Delta state’s money.
firstratedcitiz: I give it to Kunle Afolayan. The guy is good at what he does. I watched Citation on Netflix recently and couldn't stop wondering how he got it so right. Even the lead character in Citation, Temi Otedola, was only making her debut in Nollywood, yet Afolayan succeeded to make her play the part well. Another film director in Nollywood whose works deserve equal commendation is Ramsey Nouah.
Jostoman: God bless you Gani Adams, Sunday igboho, Nnamdi kanu, asari dokubo and other freedom fighter across the south for standing to defend your people.
