We would’ve been far better off in Lagos today if Ambode had just continued where Fashola
left off and not leave uncompleted projects all over the place.


People saying Sanwo-Olu doesn’t have projects he initiated on his own so far are just ignorant and not
worth responding to.

Gov Jide Sanwo-Olu has done well by leveraging the federal rail infrastructure. He is incorporating it into
the Lagos mass transit masterplan. It is a brilliant brilliant idea

Let's call a spade a spade here, it has been technically abandoned from what I see in the OP. The rate of work has been slowed down so much that the irons will be rust by the time the works are completed. What is the point taking away hundreds of hands away from the construction site and leaving few hands there so the project will never be completed?

Lagos is not abandoning projects. Unlike Ambode, Gov Sanwo-Olu has been commissioning projects he inherited
since he assumed office. Below is the Pen Cinema flyover started by Ambode, Gov Sanwo has completed it.



The governor said he is committed to completing the blue line.

This is great. They have broken the project down into phases to avoid the many mistakes made with the blue line project (lessons learned).

This is one of my best threads on NL in 2021.

The post to me was not criticism, it was bitterness as a result of me praising a minister of works who happened to be yoruba.

There are many on Nairaland who get extremely bitter anytime anything good pertaining Yoruba or yorubaland comes to light.

We call it "New Bridge", it was built before I was born and it's no way close to that picture up there.. the rails on each sides of the bridge are almost gone due to rust and vandalism from "awon aboki iron conden"

The blue line is 78% completed. Gov Sanwo-Olu is not abandoning it like Ambode did, it is currently being worked on.

Work can commence while the remaining 22% is being completed for the blue line.

Carry on with the red line rail project Mr Governor.

The bridge is built over River Benue. It connects Benue and Nassarawa states.

Babatunde Fashola has tried as Works Minister. Could’ve done more if funding was adequate.
