Now, in other news. Guys do not despair. I'm preparing to make some bold declarations that
will open the floodgates of medical calls and TRVs.

I'll like to believe CDHC know this is about the start dates of applicants. God will remind them and give
them speed with it. It is well.

anabor: Good day all, my admission in Mohawk College is supposed to start September 4th and i'm yet to be called for medicals by the embassy, despite the fact that I submitted my application second week in April. Please do you guys think I still stand a chance?

I think you should contact them ASAP as advised.

Nothing is impossible. If you get called for medicals this week or next, you still have 3-4 weeks for the results
and getting your TRV which is ok.

So ehen, I ave gotten flight departing on the 25th of this month. Emirates to New York sha. Cost 262,000. Then from New York I wud try and see if I can get any flight from JFK or laguardia airport. Maybe dem west jet or porter wud sell to me at the counter.

I'll suggest you sort out all the flights to your destination before leaving Nigeria.

GboyegaD: Please do and this should give a brief background of yourself, your motivation for your course of study and choice of school, why canada and what this degree would do for you. I think it is the easiest in the application package is it gives you the opportunity to express yourself.

Was asked to send additional documents by email. Replied to the address (re-lagos..) with a scan of the additional documents but got no response other than auto reply.

Was thinking of sending them physically along with my passport cos I wasn't given any instructions about passport. What do you think?

I thought you used a 2 way mail to send in your passport? If you got it in your CIC account then I guess it has already been reflected on your passport.

Applied May 2 - Online

Now my questions, I was asked to send receipt for one year tuition and board. My course is just 16 Months and the
school (UBC) requires I pay it in 4 instalments. How do I respond to this? I was also not given any instructions about sending my passport in, is this normal?

Bro! if they took your ipad with the car then you can attempt to track your ipad by logging in to icloud on a PC. Not sure of the details but it's worth a try.

@teapea8484. I included the tax clearance in mine. The tax paid was in the hundreds of thousands sha. Can't remember the particular amount.

How are you to send your original documents to the embassy?

emmausa: My brother it is not there, believe me, and secondly u must never go to the next step if u haven't provided all the requirement in the checklist, the checklist d gave me is; application outside of canada, supporting documents-family information, financial support, passport n travelling docs-i opened dis one n it says d pageof ur passport showin birth,name,photo, etc., passport photo, shedule1 application, and letter of explanation- if u want to explain further abt ur application.
Infact am definitely crying about dis!! I shld hv added it to any docs

Maybe you filled the questionnaire wrongly. Because I went through it 2 times before I filled my application with different answers and it gave me slightly different check-list.

If you're sure you answered the questionnaire properly, then I'm sure you're fine.

I used it for my application and i got a message today in MyCIC account that i should go in person with my passport to Canada embassy on V.I within the next 1 month...i want to believe my TRV has been approved.. anyone in the house with similar experience want to share with me..

Is there anyone that has successfully applied for TRV through the online application system. It seems pretty straightforward though. I am only required to fill the application form and attach (i) my CAQ (since i'll be studying in Quebec); (ii) Family Information; (iii) Proof of Means of financial support; (iv) Passport or travel document; (v) Digital Photo and (vi) Letter of Acceptance.

I haven't completed the online application yet because i am awaiting receipt of my CAQ. I would like to know if anyone has successfully applied through the online application here in Nigeria. Thanks

Am using the online application, and i want to know, shld i download the application forms , fill it, print it, sign it and then upload it to MyCIC. Or is ther a way i can send the already filled application forms to MyCIC acct witout printing it out??.
Secondly for those who have used the online application do u summit police certificates......pls wat other documents do u summit online pls

No need to print and sign. Just download, fill, save and upload back to them. I don't think anybody included police cert with the online app cad it's not requested.

coldgate: I saw the message too. Anyone using the online method and has previously uploaded his/her forms would need to logon after tomorrow to fill out the new forms. Anyway, I applied this morning using the online method.

I guess if they submit before May 4th, the old forms are just as good.

bumdish: Two things you need to do:
1. Reduce the size of the file you are trying to upload
2. Use a faster internet access
You will be fine.

coldgate: That is due to poor network. I have used it successfully today. Keep trying.

Eventually took my PC to a fast cyber cafe to get it done and it went very easily.

Submitting physically wasn't an option as I had only like 20% of the documents I needed in hard copy.

Anyway, I'm glad it's mostly done now so I can have my regular life back while I wait. I even have a school admission interview today while i've already accepted another just so I can send this TRV application on time.

@sampitt, @2-chains, trying to use the online system and I've been getting "bad gateway", "Error 502" error for about 2 days now when I try to upload. Did you guys experience similar?

sampitts: Dont waste ur money printing n scanning, i did dat bt didnt use it at d end of d day. Jst fill d form and validate it. They will ask u to sign ( which is jst to clik signature) wen u attempt to submit. No need to print, sign and scan

@sampitts, @2-chains, please, I'm about using the online method and I need a few clarifications. I've registered an account already and i'm about starting the process.

wanna confirm that I'm supposed to download the forms, fill them on my PC, validate it with the button on the form, print it, sign it with my signature, scan it with a scanner, then upload it to the appropriate place on the website.

Let me know if I got it right or missed any thing. Thanks in advance.

sampitts: you will submit a scan copy of ur intl passport, acceptance letter, sponsorship letter and bankstatment, plus d normal app form

And I assume when they make a decision regarding your study permit, they'll request for your real passport. My concern here is if that won't reset the processing time again.

I'm trying to gather info on the online application method. How do you submit your documents, especially your passport?
