That depends on who takes over from GEJ but I think
he won't do too well as president.

Under him, Nigeria's development will be slow if any and security will
be very poor. ie the rise of more terrorists and militancy groups which are

Then again, I think IBB has evil intentions. If he had apologized for his evil deeds
to this country, I'll probably support him.

You guys are not alone. I've downloaded Unity 3d from the start. I'm just waiting for another phase of the project
since graphics, modelling , textures and animation is not my thing. I'll just end up wasting my time achieving nothing.

I understand the concept of 3d so when it's time for scripts and the artwork are in place, I'll be more involved.

The current game cannot be completed in less than a year. Something quick and fun will encourage a lot of people.

I cannot deny that video games helped me in developing some basic computer instincts like navigating menus and

editing settings. I'll also like to add that it's very important to start early when there's a better chance of still having

that interest to learn. Any child who has had some fun with video games will never be overwhelmed by most phones,

ATMs, POS, VCR, Home theatre, etc. But Nigeria has to take some blame too. Can you imagine a University graduate that

has not touched a computer before? even computer science graduates,  Makes me angry already.

All the movies I've been watching this year has not been impressive. They have just been OK or average.
"KickAss" wasn't so fantastic to me.

Just maybe you've seen too many movies so you're now hard to impress. Maybe watch nollywood
movies for a month, then try it again.

Just wanted to get if off my chest

Yes! you have to upload all the site folders and it takes a while cos of internet speeds

If you want to avoid uploading that much, you can install it from your webhost. some webhost
have functions for you to install joomla from your panel. That way, you'll only need to upload
your template, database and change a few configurations.

If you must upload, it might help to disable the timeout limit on filezilla.

I'll still stick to a much more simpler game, maybe 3D-like 2D if you've ever seen Abe's oddessy on PS1. That type of
graphics but a much much more simpler game like Plant vs Zombie. Maybe initially just to prove your concepts of what
you think you know and a much smaller team like 2 programmer, 2 graphic artist and 1 sound.

There are a million ways to tell someone you like them without saying it. That way if you change
your mind, you can just tell her that she misread the signals. But since you'd gone too
far already, just tell her what you think anyway. Exactly how you said it here.

She'll hate you right away but in the long run, she'll remember you as one of the very few people
who told her the truth. What she was lacking that you couldn't live without.

Who knows, she might just do a rebranding of herself on facebook to reflect more of her real self.

Just what I think is the right path at this stage, forget 3d and stick to 2d. Not even side scrollers but fixed screen puzzle like bejewelled, chuzzle,

peggle, zuma, etc.

That way the graphics and programming is simpler.

You need Visual studio to use XNA and know either C# or C++ for windows apps

I'm currently searching for movies that will make me cry. I watch some movies and they look

like they are going to make me cry and I try to feel the situation and force myself to cry. Sometimes

a get a watery eye but I want one that'll make me cry without trying. I found some suggestions googling

but figured out I just might get better suggestions from Nairaland

Ok!

I went to the comandplay.tk website, downloaded the only game on it and my antivirus caught two viruses while i was extracting. Good Start.

I have been programming for a while now wrote about 3 simple MS Dos games (a card game, ping pong and top view racer - more like "left and right") just to learn C/C++. I even created a first person 2D shooter in powerpoint/visual basic and the problem Nigerians will have creating
games is this.


1. Most Nigerians acquire the ability to create games when they are much older and there are too many important things (that will fetch guaranteed money) to create than games.

2. And we all know Black people like money (esp. Nigerians), we don't mind doing a very very boring and unintelligent job provided it brings in money.

The last time I wanted to create a game, I gave up due to lack of a game design and game graphics. I just want to program and not have to worry about anything else.

When ever anyone has a game design and some graphics to work with, I'm down and my weapon of choice is C# and the XNA framework.

Hope this wasn't too pessimistic
