Literature › Help: I Want To Self-publish My Book. How Do I Go About It? by Maximus85(op):
Goodday.

I'm Jimmy. I'm a researcher and lover of peace. I've been researching and writing a book with a friend for the past 3 years. And we have a big dream about this marriage and relationship building, fixing and maintainance book. We have a mental picture of how it will come out but we don't really know the steps.

One thing is, we don't want to approach any publisher.

That is why i'm here on the literature section of nairaland for your assistance.

Thanks.
Romance › Re: Life Is A Teacher. Jilted By My Fiancee. by Maximus85(m): 10:58pm On Jun 13, 2016
acxlers2014:
My experience buttresses the point that human nature is such that they look out for self first. I met, dated, proposed and did introduction with a lady in her thirties with the anticipation to marry her three months after that. Well I was charged up and ready to go and I was excited about the whole thing. She came over to my station in one of these northern states and she left after few weeks. I had thought everything was fine when I saw her off to the airport. Well a week after her attitude became funny, she started by asking for a postponement on the wedding, then she became very aggressive and later on she barred my numbers and started acting funny. Before I knew what was happening she started insulting me and saying different things about my capabilities as a man. Well by the grace of God I am a doctor in A government hospital and I own a flourishing practice in my domicile. Sadly no matter how much I tried she never seemed to be ready to come back. Well at a point in the deterioration of our relationship she returned my rings engagement and wedding bands and all the gifts I had given her
She was interviewed by her pastor, my pastor, my folks and she reiterated that she was not coming back. I did not relent even after all these but I had even a stronger resolve to carry on with the whole process. I thought it was a moment of temporary set back that maybe she may come through. How wrong was I. Several texts afterwards. She came out with a bold statement " MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE AS I HAVE MOVED ON WITH MINE". IT hurt but is didn't matter to me. Then the deal breaker.......... she sends me conversations between her and a guy who was chiking her via whatsapp and was professing his love to her and she was tripping. With the caption " I WOULD RATHER MOVE ON WITH THIS GUY, HE IS A BETTER MAN TO YOU". She calls up my folks and tell them that I should stay off her back as well as my siblings. That was the CLOSURE I needed and I must say it was a tough call.

As for her family, they supported their own.
Lessons learnt.
The truth is when it is gone don't fight it, just move
on.

Never put your eggs in one basket, the concept of a side chick for every guy is valid, it is for your sanity, little wonder our fathers always seemed to have one

Old women, middle aged women, girls and baby girls are all the same their psyche is way different maybe it has something to do with hormones.

Never stick to an opinionated women, you can't be so silly to think feminism can work in our society

Beautiful women always feel they have an option.

Lastly never compromise your hustle for a woman.
You said the lady is in her thirties. Na you cause problem for yourself.

You should sincerely give ur life to Jesus, He alone can help ur plight...
I pray God hears our cry even at this time of economic hardship.. Amen
I was just talking wild out of frustration. And what has giving my life to Christ got to do with this situation? Eccl. 9:11. Are you saying it's everyone that has given his life to Christ that are enjoying life?

I learnt there's a curse on first born male child in the Bible. They find it hard in life.

Dear Nairalanders

My life is turning into nightmare. I am educated and with all humility, I am a very intelligent and goal oriented young man.

Complaining is not something I still want to do anymore.

The Nigeria Economy and Lagos State University in particular has not helped matters. I graduated 6years ago and they (LASU) are yet to issue certificate or results. Mind you, I am not at fault. Myself and my colleagues are just suffering for LASU's incompetence.

All my siblings are married and I've promised the lady I'm with to give me just 2more years. It hurts knowing the sacrifice she's done and is still doing for me. I can't fail her now. She's given a lot of her.

I have an aging mother whom is my responsibility.

I'm a strong-willed person. I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur. But the Nigerian Environment is never a suitable place to survive as one.

If you take time to see my profile and topics here on Nairaland, you will understand all my ventures. I can't succeed without finance. I don't want financial gifts. I want to earn it so that I can grow my business venture by myself. But I can't get a job without a certificate in this country.

With all humility and respect, big companies are soo blind and disoriented to the order of today. They focus more on credentials and neglect potentials. Credentials doesn't always get the job done. It could be bought. Potentials are real, they are the untapped resources because they don't come as flashy as those carrying the sweet credentials.

I studied Business Administration and I would have loved to be chartered in personnel management but I need my certificate first.

To whom it may concern. I need a job. IT, management, data management, marketing, customer service, etc. Just a tiny little training and I'll be unstoppable. Just show me what to do and I will aim at surpassing your expectations. And I WILL. I love getting things done well, clean and fast.

If you need to see my CV kindly ask and I will forward to you with speed.

Thanks for reading this.
#Lalasticlala pls don't overlook my public plea.

If this fails.......

Voy:
I Interviewed 3 Pure Water Sellers In Port harcourt / Aba Expressway, And According To Them: Sometimes, It Takes About 6 Hours To Sell 20 Sachets Of Water Which Amounts To A Total Of N200 (1Dollar). From The N200, The Profit Is Only About N40 As The Pure. Water Sellers Have To Pay The Wholesalers Their Money Back As Well As Cover The Price For Ice Block Which Was Used To Cool The Water. The Long And Short Of It Is That Some Of Them Make Only N40 In 6 Hours Of Hustling Under The Hot Sun, Risking Their Lives On Major Express Roads And Always At The Mercy Of The Environmental Protection Board Who Whip
Them With Cane When Caught; Burst Their Water Sachets To The Ground And Fine Them N5,000. As If That Isn't Bad Enough, When Passengers And Drivers Reach The Traffic Stops, They Prefer To Dash N100, N200 Or Even N500 To Beggars And Fake Sufferers Who Sometimes Make About N1,500 A Day Doing Nothing But Begging, Leaving Them Richer, Luckier And Safer Than The Pure Water Sellers Who Are Young Entrepreneurs Serving The Larger Community With Their Trade, And Trying To
Make Ends Meet. So When Next You Are At A Traffic Stop, Please:
1. Dash The Pure Water Seller Instead

2. Buy Pure Water To Patronise Them And If The Change Is (N10, Or Even N20, You Can Leave It With Them)

3. Say Something Nice To Them. Greet Them, Encourage Them.

4. Slow Down, Don't Knock Them Down.

5. Even If You Wont Buy The Pure Water, If They Ask You To Buy, Rather Than Ignoring Them And Facing Front As If They Are Not Humans, You Can Look At Them, Smile And
Say "Thank You"
This is the best thing I've read this year. Op, you make lot of sense.

He doesn't need to he is.

Let me expanciate.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the word and the word as with God (a supreme being) and he word was God (a supreme being). Jesus has all the characteristics of God.

Jesus is equal with God i e. Same essence of God.

For your information there is a Godkind consisting of God and Jesus. Just as there exists mankind. The holy spirit is he manifestation of their power.

I rest ma case.
Satan has always wanted to undermine God's sovereignty. And in you he has succeeded. I will not try to convince you but I just want to ask you.
Jesus whom you call God came to sacrifice himself to who? To himself?

All those times he was praying, who was he praying to?

Was he praying to himself?

Did he ever mentioned that someone greater than him sent him?

Between God and Jesus who has a beginning?

And finally, when Jesus was baptised and a dove appeared. That voice heard, was it God's voice or Jesus' voice? Cos I can remember I read in the Bible that God called Jesus his son, the one he has approved. let's consider Colossians 1:15 NKV
15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

If I can see and read properly.... This place called Jesus the firstborn of all creation. Meaning he has a beginning. But the almighty God has no beginning. This is a simple truth that the Bible teaches but that wicked and stupid spirit will never allow some people see the truth.

They don't pray? Does that even make any sense to you? Have you sat down to think that why would people calling themselves Christians won't pray? Is that ever possible. We are not praying for show. Prayer is not a joke. And we don't abuse it like the world does.

They did worse to Jesus Christ and his deciples. As to calling them hypocrites just for the behaviour of the few you know.... Are you being fair.

They are the only religious organisation in the world who takes the command of Jesus Christ that we should preach the gospel allover the world seriously.

Don't judge them based on what you've heard about them or what you seem to perceive. Listen to them and if what they say isn't founded in the scriptures, they won't force you.

Who told you God hates them? Please consult your bible to know how much God loves them.

King David is the man after God's heart--------David did not only cheat but also killed Uriah and got his wife Bethsheba pregnant. Bethsheba then gave birth to Solomon.
Solomon later became a long with 700 wifes, yet he was cheating with 300 women.
God pronounced him the wisest king. He was blessed more than all kings
Wow. For your dirty mind now... You don sabi quote Bible abi?

Let me help you. David wasn't a perpetual womaniser. He sinned, he accepted his sin, God forgave him. He wasn't allowed to build the temple for God. Solomon was to build it. Which he did.
God commanded the Israelites not to marry foreign wives so as not to contaminate pure worship, Solomon disobeyed. He paid dearly for it.

Continue using the bad examples in the Bible as a basis for your madness.

In the unemployed population, some are actually very brilliant, they went through the university and or polytechnic but may because of some issues, they couldn't get their certificate and couldn't go for NYSC.

These ones are there in the economy struggling to survive. They don't just seat back lazying around. They try to start something but it's impossible for many of them who doesn't have any means of financing there business ideas.

What can be done to assist these ones?
I feel these corporate organisations should start looking out for potentials and not just certificates. Truth been told, some certificates hold no water. Some are bought either with cash or kind. And when they get on the job... They can't just perform.

It has got to be WHAT CAN YOU Do? and not What Certificate do you have?

I don't know if this post of mine mean anything to someone. I just woke up, writing proposals to companies about my business. I've been doing this for like 6years but yet to get something concrete because I can seem to make enough money to really brand this business of mine. If I had a job, it could have helped me save up some money to do this.

If you look me up here on Nairaland, you will see all that I've tried my hands on.

If you are in the same shoes as me, please join the discussion.

LASU is the demon tormenting my life.
