According to God's word there are two types of people that will benefit from the resurrection hope:
[1] Those who has been declared righteous by God they will be resurrected as RIGHTEOUS ones.
[2] People who don't know the righteousness of God but lived by conscience {Romans 2:15} God won't judge them by his own standard but by their own conscience so they will be resurrected as UNRIGHTEOUS since they don't know the righteousness of God! Act 24:15

As for people who don't know righteousness of God and don't give a damn about conscience they will not be remembered at all! Psalms 9:17

This is not the real life God purposed for mankind {1Timothy 6:19} it's everlasting life in Paradise without sickness or suffering so all the people killed by evildoers will be resurrected it's then they will enjoy life to the fullest but the unrepentant killers like Hitler will not be remembered that time {Psalms 9:17} the Bible says the wages of sin is death {Romans 6:23} the death of an unrepentant sinner is permanent while that of a repentant sinner is reversible.

Jesus Christ is the promised child who will lead God's people (faithful individuals throughout the earth) to salvation {Isaiah 9:6-7} there's no way Christians as individuals can stand out as a preservative (salt) globally because people in all different geographical locations on this planet must testify to the activities of a certain group that is when it could be said that such a group is like a light throughout the earth! Matthew 5:14-16
To fully understand what Jesus meant by that illustration let's examine how people make use of salt as a preservative.
People do apply the salt for two purposes first to sweeten their food and secondly to preserve their food.
So when thinking of sweetening or preserving people in different geographical locations makes use of salt differently but after hearing how it has been used in other places and the benefit they begin copying one another.
That means Jesus' disciples will be known as a global group with virtuous qualities that others will be using as yardstick to measure up that is why they will be the talk everywhere you go but that doesn't stop mockers from using them as a means to discredit faith completely as they will be speaking of what they heard about some of them in one place to quantify all of them.
For instance imagine a first century Jew wants to speak of Christianity they will talk about the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, how Peter denied Jesus and how a Corinthian disciple of Christ was sleeping with his father's younger wife while the old man is still alive. The point such people want to make is clear:
Jesus' teachings is not the best after all there are immoral ones and traitors among them even among the closest confidants of Jesus!

Despite these how can Christians be the salt and light of the world?

Well there is one thing Jesus' teachings will make possible in the gathering of imperfect humans but which will be totally impossible in any other religion.
