Another thing people should understand is that there is a diff btw being rich and being comfortable. Any responsible and reasonable lady would go for a guy with average finance she loves over a rich guy she doesn't love. In Nigeria here, I have witnessed a lot of ladies marrying n sticking to a low and average finance guy over the rich fellows. Why am saying these is that people seem to over look other qualities in life apart from riches. A lot of ladies prefer that emotional satisfaction of being with the man they love. |

vic17: romantic guys bleep easily. Cute guy, funny guy I dey mostly pity them friend zone set. A Rich guy bleep hungry girls only
When it come to marriage no worry urself na love, understanding and girls mostly settle for less cos rich guys dont marry hungry girls U are the only or one of the very few person(s) who have made a reasonable point and stated it the way it is. Most people are just writing trash. Its mostly hungry and worthless ladies that RUN after rich guys. Any responsible and reasonable ladies wants a romantic n caring guy. Being cute and funny is an added advantage but a responsible and reasonable lady prefers emotional(love) stability with a guy over other aspects. Even those hungry girls love too and the take what they get from d rich nigger to the poor ones they love. I can see that there is this huge poverty mentality in Nigeria and its really affecting the way people think as well as their sense of judgement |

navyseal2220: Rich(provider), protector and fearless man = Ideal man. Ask Nigerian women and African women especially in SA why they prefer Igbo men. Romance and looks, unbeknownst to men is nothing to women. Once woman knows you can provide, protect and lead her and her children, trust me she will never leave you! Igbo culture and tradition emphasizes these attributes on their men over mundane things. All these tribal bigots. Being rich, cute, funny n romantic has nothing to do with tribe. Its just abt individuals. |

Romance › Re: Any Guy Earning 50k Should Not Have Any Business Getting Married - Twitter Lady by maxlev1: 10:07am On Oct 10, 2019 |
solmusdesigns:

i beg to differ, humans have different income level through out thier life time especially in an economy like nigeria and a country without job seciurity
You may have a booming business or Job with huge turn over/salary before marriage, and few years into the marriage Buhari introduces policies that affects your sector directly, like no forex for importers, Single Treasury Account, border closure or ban on your products... then things turn slightly difficult and this kind of lady is out with another man
A reasonable man should always marry poor, or strugling or even pretend to be poor so as to weed out women with this kind of money mentality, because even if you are rich and things turn around for you this entitled ingrates would either leave or make your life miserable
But facing real facts someone marrying with 50k must be ready to marry a lady with a source of income, and also be ready to start the marriage by renting a single room and parlour selfcontain in a middle class enviroment, he must be ready to use pratical low dataphones like itel and tecno, he must be willing to use public transport, and he must be very willing to eat a soup for atleast 3 days to five days before making new ones, or they can eat out sometimes at local restuarants... If he , must drink alchohol, then he cant drink at a lounge and he cant buy premium brands like hennesy and heineken.. he most strictly drink low cost drinks like hero, goldberg , 33 , trophy or spirits and his entertainment option should be limited to Startimes a, gotv or buying pirated dvds..
In fairness.. strugling couples who are positive minded tend to enjoy thier marriage, building wealth together and sharing life experience together, doing house chores together, playing together when bored, gisting and sharing goofy jokes to spice up the atmosphere (not to forget the spontenous unplannedd sex, and the random quickie )
For such marriage to work emphasis must be placed on THE WORD "TOGETHER"
and to clear anybodies doubt
Estimated budget of a Glutton who earns 50k and his wife earns 30k, in any state in Nigeria except Lagos, FCT Abuja, Portharcourt
BUDGET Estimate.....
*Accomodation...... (N7000) a room self contain(80k a year)
*Feeding for 2 (N40,000 ) Soup per week 3750, per month 15k Main Meal(rice 3 cups breakfast, eba/amala/tuwo/fufu, 3 cups or equivalent for lunch, noddles and egg for supper) 25k per month
*Utility Bill (N11,000) Gas 1500 per month GoTv, Startimes 3000 per month Internet for 2 2000 per month Electricity and Comiunity Development and Seciurity 3000
*Miscelleneous ..(10,000) *Mutual Fund Investment, Cryptocurrency and Stocks and Shares Purchase (N10,000) *Savings (N5000)
TOTAL 80,000
estimate is based on if you and your wife are extreme gluttons that live to eat
Bottomline, Never Let others project thier fears on you.. If money alone was the fuel of a Succesful Marriage then Dangote and Deji Adeleke wouldnt be Divorcees
.. Bro u have said it all. U are the man. |

Omeruo Balogun Aina Tomori Adeborioyo Ekong Awaziem
Where we need to strengthen is at the wings especially left back because that Jamiu is not really cutting it That's not true. Jamilu Collins is our best Fb/wing back in both club and country and he has proved it with performance. The closest in our team to him is Awaziem though Aina is improving gradually |

Psalmy2cute: Who will lead the agitation?? The ijaws?? When the ijaws start to agitate for referendum.. you'll begin to see some gullible people from other ethnic groups in thesame Niger delta calling them militants always bringing crisis to the region.. Our best bet is to go with biafra ... on a strict agreement of resource control I disagree with u sir. First of all, there are many other well known ethnic groups in the SS apart from Ijaw. So its a matter of having an honest conversation and deliberation among all the SS people before any decision is taken. They don't need any other region to agitate for them. They can agitate if they deem it necessary and only if they want to and not because of the SE. Besides if they want to break out, then the SS will be on their own while d SE on their own. SS people might not be shouting everywhere but they are very smart and can't be deceived by anyone. |

I also give you one assignment. Get your people together and carry a placard in Udu with the inscription "Urhobos support Biafra " and see what will happen to you. In the alternative, you can advise Kanu to organize a Biafran rally anywhere in warri. Pls leave that man alone. He thinks that he is smart with words. How on earth would a SS man want to join up with another region when he(they) has(have) the resources n technical knowledge to build himself(themselves) to any standard he(they) want(s). |

The south south and south east will be leaving this shit of a country.. it wont be easy.. but it will surely happen which south south? Oga speak for urself. If Nigeria must break, I think south south will be on their own, then south east on their own. |

Richdad50:

Studying engineering in any Nigeria higher institutions remains one of the biggest scam to date. You are drilled on engineering principles long outdated, retired, and used only for reference purposes. You go through rigorous mathematical learning and theories without understanding the implications of mathematical applications. You are defined, crammed, with no knowledge for innovation. Like an orphan, you go into the labor market with only one idea; maintenance.
Engineers and scientists all over the world have driven development, innovations and technological advancements of Nations even in worst situations. In War, destruction, famine, and disease, mankind blessed with science and engineering have developed mechanisms to better the lives of people.
Richdad True talk. As a mechanical Engineering graduate from a Fed Uni of Technology in Nigeria, I have experienced this in full swing. I am working in an oil servicing company now and I discovered that I was wasting my time in a Nigerian Uni. Do u know I had to train myself on several skills just to be at advantage in the labour market as well as my work place. Employers know that our sch system is rubbish and they don't care abt our degrees most times. Our education is too outdated. |

For people complaining abt BBNaija being in the front page, u people are not the owner(s) of Nairaland and I see nothing wrong if Seun decides to put it there. There are BBNaija fans(I am not) whom he is making money from, because it is his business. I also so see other stories in FP abt other aspects of life and society. So I feel it is very simple for u to read the one that picks ur interest and ignore the ones u don't like instead of trying to force ur mindset in someone's business in a very negative manner just because u don't like a particular thing. I am tired of people ranting unnecessarily. Its uncalled for |
Politics › Re: Is There A Fulani State In Nigeria? by maxlev1: 10:35am On May 25, 2019 |
People should stop making unfounded statements here. There is no predominant Fulani state in Nigeria. They are the tribe with one of the fewest if not the fewest number of people in the country. They have small settlements in many northern States in the country but they have a strategy of dominating politics in these northern States after conquering them through violence irrespective of their small numbers. That's why u will always find a larger population of the fulanis in northern state capitals especially the elite ones. Apart from that they will settle in a few LGAs around the states mostly close to borders. They know if the conquer the people politically the can easily operate favourably in such areas. |

eleojo23: OP, Xioami just launched some of its phones in Nigeria yesterday.
Take a look
Redmi Note 7
The Redmi Note 7 launches as the first phone with a 48MP camera in Nigeria. It will be available in three variants and they will sell for the following prices:
3GB RAM + 32GB = NGN 58,000 4GB RAM + 64GB = NGN 66,900 4GB RAM + 128GB = NGN 75,500
The Redmi Note 7 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ Dot Drop Display covered in Gorilla Glass 5. There is Gorilla Glass 5 on the rear too. Xiaomi demonstrated how strong the display is by slamming it against a table repeatedly. The Snapdragon 660 is the chipset under the hood.
Can you beat that pricing?
By the way, I use a Xiaomi phone Brother pls where can I acquire it at the exact prices u wrote? Thanks |
Education › Re: Finished With A Third Class Degree, Can I Do Masters? by maxlev1: 6:02pm On Mar 16, 2019 |
Some Nigerians are so foolish to think that Nigerian education is a true test of knowledge and intelligence. Imagine a senario where by a lecturer writes down in his handout only 3 functions of a plier and a student studies more and discovers we have more than 10 functions of a plier. he/she decides to write down 3 of the functions he has discovered and unfortunately d lecturer gives him zero. Does it make the student a dullard? No. What am trying to say it that Nigerian degrees shouldn't be used as a basis to judge how competent a graduate is. I have seen a 2.1 graduate that couldn't even write a simple formal letter. Nigerian system of Education is flawed. Have u people read about top scientist like Albert Einstein and d rest. Even in a countries with the best standard of education, their most successful citizens have usually been rated low when it comes to education. |
Education › Re: Finished With A Third Class Degree, Can I Do Masters? by maxlev1: 11:12am On Mar 16, 2019 |
OP pls don't mind some of the negative responders. I am a mech Engr working in one of the oil n gas companies. I can vividly tell u that most companies don't even need Nigerian degree to employ u. what makes u relevant in some of this companies is ur certifications because they know it is practical oriented and we are in a practical world. There are departments that look at Uni degrees but u will still have to be trained because Nigerian Education is not the true test of knowledge. They system is flawed. Cramming to give back d lecturer what he gave u isn't d best way to learn.
On the main reason u are here, I suggest u visit a uni u would like to do ur PGD in and ask questions so u can get advice from professionals there. PGD I think takes abt 8 months in most Nigerian uni and masters takes like 18months. All d best |
