AntiChristian: Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic are Semitic languages with origin from Shem a descendant of Noah! So the languages have some similarities hence that is expected.
Allah states that Noah as well as Moses and others till Jesus were all Muslims. Allah is the Lord of all that exists and not of the middle east only. There's no evidence for your assertion.
Evidence? There is nothing like “Semitic language”. Semitic is a group of people with different languages. And that Allah name comes from one of the group, hence one of the language in Semitic known as “Aramaic” language. Both Arabic and Hebrew comes from Aramaic. You are worshipping a Semitic god from the Middle East. When was Jesus born? When was Mohamed born? |

AntiChristian:

Yeah! Allah is the name of Allah He called himself in the Qur'an over 1400 years! Jehovah on the other was created from YHVH about one or two centuries ago. They can't be the same as Allah is Allah no one bears this name on earth nor does delegates His duties of being God to others. All comes to Him as a slave in subservience and worship.
The Israelite knew Moses to be a Prophet of God as stated in Deut 18:15 restated in Acts 3:22. And Deut. 34:10 says; There has never again been a prophet in Israel like Moses.
So it is more established even in your Bible that Moses was a Prophet (not God as Yahweh) and neither was Jesus if he was also a Prophet like Moses! So the god Moses was called is not literal but symbolic or figurative. “Allah” got his name and origin from Aramaic, surprisingly “El” also got his name from there, you guys are worshipping the gods of the Middle East. Yahweh na one small god for Canaan before he was upgraded and featured in the Bible. |

haekymbahd: Yes. In the absence of an appointed imam any Muslim male present may lead the prayer, though the custom is to grant the privilege to the eldest or the one most-versed in the Qur’an. The fact the he is Shi’a does not invalidate the prayer. What is not accepted is innovation (bidahj) in prayer. If the leader started to utter words contrary to the Qur’an and Sunnah he must be dismissed immediately and another candidate found for the post. So he has to use the sunnah which is specific for Sunni Muslims? Why can’t he use Shia practices to pray? The same way you have set of rules on how to pray, is the same way these other doctrines have too. you want a Catholic to go pray in a Jehovah witness church yet you won’t allow a Shia Muslim to lead prayers in a Sunni mosque using his own mode of praying.

Your god created Adam to sin so his plan can come true. He is just looking for who to blame, your god is playing games. |

Adam sinned and God condemned Him in die - from dust you, Adam, were made, and to dust you, Adam, would be returned. So, what forgiveness did God promise Adam given that forgiveness is itself as promised by God not arbitrarily obtained? Before Adam was created, your god didn’t know Adam will sin? If he knew Adam will sin, yet still went ahead to create Adam to sin, and is now crying foul that Adam sinned. Lol |

Great men under the influence of inspiration!
Was Luke under such influence when he said: Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. Luke 1:1-4
This verse summarizes your Bible that people were just writing about things that happened as they received it from unnamed eyewitnesses.... I hope you are as critical to Islam as you are to Christianity. |

sonmvayina: It is so funny seeing grown ass men argue and trying to make sense out of nonsense.... If people agree that “God” is a title and not a person, it will make things easier, come with me: There’s nothing like “God” in Arabic text. There’s nothing like “God” in Hebrew text. So where did “God” come from? If you are a a Christian you’ll know that New Testament was written in GREEK. Maybe that’s where the word came from, which was written as “Theo” but Old Testament was not written in Greek but Hebrew, so why did they equate “Theo(Greek)”to the character in the Old Testament? Shouldn’t they follow the pattern from old to new? What’s “Theo” called in Hebrew? Theo is different from Elohim. So God or god or GOD or gOD anyhow they condition you to write it, as long as it is from Greek origin it’s very much different from the main characters protrayed in your book(Allah, Elohim, Yahweh) You calling Allah or Yahweh a God(Theo) is even an insult lol.

Keenysbojan You made a small mistake in your observation, when you said “Allah”, it’s an ARABIC word for “god” in islam as Quran was written in Arabic. But when you wanted to talk about the Christian god, you said “God” you didn’t also change it to the language they used in the Bible which was Hebrew. God from theo is a Greek word, and that word is also derive from hebrew(Hebrew came before Greek) theo means “gift of god” in Hebrew, and “God”(they don’t speak English then) is written as “Elohim” So when you say I believe in God(theo) you are saying I believe in gift of god. So to continue your assessment, you have to compare Allah and Elohim. And don’t also forget that Elohim is different from “yahweh” and even more different from “Jehovah” created by “Jehovah” witnesses. |

MaxInDHouse: Thought provoking question!
There's just one human race but due to ethnic and language barrier we have created artificial racism among ourselves. The one and only creature with the ability to think, speak and improve in things we do are humans. All other creatures have remained the same way they are for thousands of years so the book (Bible) has something worthwhile in it when it says:
Then God said: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every creeping animal that is moving on the earth.” And God went on to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28
But there's is something we must totally avoid if we're to continue living together as one big and happy race of human family: We mustn't set standards for right and wrong from our own thinking, we must solely rely on God! Genesis 2:17
Today there are so many religions due to what each nation knew so far but apart from the book Bible none of all these religionists from different nations knew what's been causing the troubles within the human society: POLITICS. This is what resulted from man's rebellion ever since the first human pair decided to start setting standards within the human society.
Now back to your question! The purpose or importance of a widespread religion should be to unite all nations under one umbrella to form one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers on a global scale! Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3
Today this has been achieved as Jehovah's Witnesses have used the Bible to gather people from different races throughout the earth, taught them to submit (willingly) to the same line of thought, and they have diverted all their resources into the production of food and information materials, they have vowed never to make or raise weapons against their fellowman again and as for military services used by POLITICIANS this group have said goodbye! Isaiah 2:2-4
This is the importance of a widespread religion and Jesus of Nazareth commissioned a global campaign so that obedient humans from all the earth may be gathered to achieve this! Matthew 28:18-20
Thanks, may you have PEACE! Worhsipper of William tyndale, good morning |
