Thanks sir. To avoid a repeat occurence of this issue. I just remembered now that when I first bought the car, whenever I opened the radiator, a green like water comes up and I didn't even know it was coolant. I never topped the water not until I gave it to an Uber driver and he suddenly started complaining of over heating after two weeks then I took the car from him and I have been topping with water since then. In short whether or not I experience over heating I top with water not until a mechanic removed the thermostat and set it so fan comes up after any ignition, this solution gave me a relief as I stopped topping for a while till I gave my car to a friend to take to a function, he got back late at night, I realized the following morning that water has dried up then I poured about 4 liters tried to start but didn't come up which gave rise to this gasket ish. Right now the water in the radiator is looking dirty and still escaping into the reservoir, I even took the car to where they sell radiator cap but all the caps are leaking but not leaking when same radiator caps are tested on my mechanic's Honda civic

Your leak could either be internal or external. Go for a cooling system pressure test to ascertain area of leak

This is very possible. Could it just be that this manufacturers have run out of ideas on how to fit and invent more emission sensors. Perhaps that could just be a more reason why they all are claiming to go fully electric soon

6 cylinders OK. That Volvo has got a very durable engine. But make sure your pocket is attractive so when it starts calling for fixes you would gladly accommodate it

The deed Has been done already replace head gasket. Be sure the top cylinder has not been affected. Heat and aluminium do not go together. Inspect top cylinder using a cylinder inspection camera. Worse case scenario might be to have a replacement engine

When you hear prices for the parts of Volvo xc90 then you would jejely continue using your highlander. The 2 rides are no mates in anyway. Are you looking at the 8cylinders or 5 cylinders? The xc90 is over rugged

I hear a 'leaky exhaust' kind of noise in the cabin of my toyota camry, no noise when outside d car.The noise disappears when I accelerate and back again when the car runs idle. The engine runs smoothly, no rattling, no performance issue whatsoever. No leaks in the exhaust(that was what a technician told me) . am just wondering where d noise could be coming from.Read some articles online with the inlet manifold said to be d most likely culprit.
No warning light on d dash board.

Tell us what originally happened to the car. 24 valves cannot be changed for no just reason. What was the build up problem

Let him consult another mechanic

Get your facts right that engine costs 850k in the market. If he had done that based on exchange rate. We would be looking at more than a million naira
