Ilekeh:Shymmex you don get me in trouble. ![]() To my one and only Ileke... |
ProfShymex:Yeah, im under her sheets. ![]() I find the Ibadan accent and attitude appealing. |
Aareonakakanfo:Lol. Thanks for your generous feedback. I am cautious about committing to a schedule, my plate is full at moment but im open when time permits to jump in. Im missing a lot here....and i hate that i cant dedicate a lot more. Inbetween my returns you guys have gone 10 pages. . Im also learning.I already submitted on the rating template. I dont know what page but go in my profile and look in my posts, its not that too long ago. Yoruba is bigger than us....its so much to cover. In Egba, the Alake imprisoned criminals without regard to color, white or black. It became embarassment in Europe where they viewed blacks as heathens. They put pressure on the colonial Governor to change the practise. This led to a treaty in which the Alake was appeased and persuaded to pass jurisdiction of white settlers of European ancestry to the Governor for prosecution. This stopped prosecution and imprisonment of criminals of European ancestry in Egba. Similarly, Leo Frobenius was credited, racist as he was anyway, with a changed mindset after the discovery of the bronze heads of Ife. He asked that the Yoruba race be reclassified in the annals of anthropology. He was not first in the line of Europeans to amaze at the civilization in the Yoruba hinterland. So its so much that has been uncovered but far more lay buried and yet to be unearthed. Ifa is gradually being peeled open, layer by layer....pretty soon someone will drop another bombshell on the Yoruba civilization. You started a good intiative, im just a contributor. You should take credit for the outcome. If you dont want it ill give to tpia. ; |
IyaIode:There is zero population control mechanism. For a city striving to be in the class of Rio, Johannesburg...its a shame that a simple social challenge is left to continously overwhelm and overburden the government. Lagos is in crisis! |
Shymm3x:Yep yep!! There is a wisdom in your proposal and it strecthes over many derivables and deliverables as well. When we talk of Yoruba Commonwealth, Im not sure that many of you will not view me as deranged but in my mind Im looking at the continental land mass that cover from Volta region in Ghana to the Delta in Warri to the hills of Idanre on up to Lokoja and Westerly to Jebba and cut across on that latitude through the Savannah to Togo. All these people have SELF-IDENTIFIED as a Yoruba culture and they include the Ewe, Ajase, Egun, Egba, Owu, Ijebu, Awori, Ekiti, Ijesha, Igbira, Okun, Offa, Ilaje, Itsekiri, Oyo, Ife, and so on... If we go beyond our continental Yoruba dominion we have indigeneous Yoruba in diaspora, places like Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, and so on.... In our discourse here we have defined Yorubaland moderately to include just those in the politisphere of Nigeria. New challenges of national unity daily serve us reminders and provoke our conscience to define ourselves as an indivisible unit commonly bonded by the proprietary rights shared under the sacredness of our dynasties and Crowns and we label it Yoruba Commonwealth. Time markers, supported by records, show that there was no town in Yorubaland that did not have a tarred road surface connecting to next towns upstream and downstream, forming a web of road networks that facilitated transportation and interlink between communities....all done under the leadership of Awolowo. He covered entire Yorubaland all the way to Jebba and Lokoja, and back then Kwara State included Lokoja and was called West Central. He even extended this development to Asaba and parts of Delta, back then Western Region ended on the bank of River Niger at Asaba. Some of the roads built by Awo in the 50s and 60s are still in good state and of better grade than roads built in modern times that wash away when water sit on them for too long. Awolowo was not joking when he told the colonialists that they were incompetent and inferior to him and what they could not accomplish in 100years he did it in 10. Historically Awo was not the first Yoruba to view the foreigners as inferior race, Livingstone wrote and lamented on how the Oyos refused to carry him or his luggage as was customary for the other race of blacks he visited to serve as porters to whitemen. He shared his humiliation in public when he motioned to sit on a spread of rich fabric used to sit the Chiefs in Kabiyesi council and upon sighting the attempt a female Ilari yanked the spread from under him with contempt that he was unfit to sit on such a richly woven fabric. The miscalculation landed his butt in the dust. This was in the hintherland. On the coast an Awujale imposed tax and ordered the arrest of any colonialist that entered into his domain before his consent was obtained. In Lagos Beecroft's solicitation for partnership was rebuffed and told by the King his friendship was not needed. We ought to take lessons from these history and raise our heads high. There is no race of people in Nigeria today that we can call peers. We regarded colonialists as inferior beings....those who the colonialists liberated from the vagaries of darkness and primitive subsistence are no peers with us. So our leaders need to take cue from our history and uplift this land. We have savannah, we have forests, swamplands, riverines, hills, valleys, Lakes, Springs, ocean, salt water rivers, fresh water rivers, falls....we are blessed! Which other region in this country can boast of such variety of ecology on its land? None! Our Governors must act to diversify and , as you correctly say Duke, ....depopulate Lagos. They must act and redistribute our economies based on the comparative advantage offered by eco class. If you locate a car assembly plant in Idanre instead of Lagos, there are many vertical economies that will also relocate or perharps as a startup. Of course the supply chain will need now to go extra miles from the ports and to Idanre to drop off parts inventories but the extra cost to their shipment overheads is exponentially offset by the new economy in staffing, home construction, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, tax generation, schools, rebates and so on... The frequent haulage of supply and distribution will put demand on the road. Therefore gives legitimacy to road upgrade and expansiin. ....this is more employment and growth for communities along the construction route. When you redistribute development, you also redistribute income. The more people are employed the greater the flow of discretionary spending and the upliftment of society generally....all the way down to the akara seller by the road side, no one is left out of gainful income. On the flip side, when men in community earn income their eligibility to find partner and start a home improves....crime reduces and civility and sanity begins to take footing in the neighborhood. I must stop here. |
IlekeHD:All projects must have: DEFINITION that identify "What" it is, "Why" it is needed, "Where" it is located, "How" it will be funded, "When" it will start and complete, "Who" the proprietary owners, the stakeholders, the builders, the managers are. MEASURES record entries and formulas that set compliance criterias that will be reviewed to gauge progress and obstacles and how to score them. INSPECTION physical review and quality audits to score progress and identify challenges that may impede project timeline, budget and manpower staffing. REPORTING published information that is available to.the public so we know if project is behind, on time or will be completed ahead of goals, and if any issues exist that are deviations from the goals and the recommendations to reconcile and return those areas ofdeviation to compliance. TOWN HALL FEEDBACK a periodic agenda and communication setting.for two way interaction between Executives and grassroot commmunities. Each level of Government should have a template similar to these. This should form their.competency metrics. They will be scored on a scale of 1 to 5 on how projects and policies under their watch is benefitting public and citizens. The total scores are tallied quarterly and then rated on a competency levels of Does.not Meet Meet Exceed Far Exceed In the election year, an Executive or Public Administrator can then be assessed as Not Qualified or Qualified, depending on where they are on cumulative performance. |
IyaIode:Thats true. |
IlekeHD:Im eating, reading, typing, got music in my ears, heading to meeting in a few mins, need to send email, need to call my love and blow kiss...again, i need water, i should skip respond to this rail thingy but i cant cause when i saw it i was in a train snaking through subterranean tunnels....so i rearranged to do list and put on my thinking hat.... Im not a social critic but I would recommend that as a first rule we create a meaningful rating system for producing performance stats and scoring for administrators...that way we cn rate on big projects like this. Venting on a waste of public resource do us no good The rail system is proposed as a solution to ease Lagos traffic. Why is Lagos traffic this bad? Due to population explosion. Why are there so many people in Lagos? Due to its relative modernity and urban profile. So will the addition of this rail system increase that profile and appeal? Yes. What can be expected? No one in Lagos will leave but more people will troop in to experience the new glamor and make the population problem worse. Will this situation ease Lagos traffic? No, it will worsen it. Sustainability. Our mindset, habits and reactions to infrastructure and environment has not improved and we still respond to our environment in a stand-offish manner as consumers instead of owners. So we must be sincere with ourselves. After the whites passed administration of Nigerian Railway Corporation to us we ran it to the ground. Same with Apapa ports. Same with airline. We can't maintain roads, can't maintain buildings, we do not maintain drainage and sewer, when whites ran this country our water pipes flowed...not any more, we can't even generate and distribute electiricity successfully and consistently. So what public infrastructure do we maintain in our society? None! Now we are adding another burden to the public treasury. Are we matured to handle the responsibility that comes with owning, operating and sustaining a rail transport system? |
Shymm3x:Darn! That nyggah on sax is badt! I dont knwo why they put that picture on the cover though, doesnt fit the cast. |
IyaIode:First and foremost, there is not a good fulani, educated or not, they all should be drowned in the swamp. Im serious! You dont want Mayor to talk here about Fulani....I will blow this forum up. I will just try and be civil and not say bad things that will really poison minds about these motherfvkrs. I must vent though and say may Allah bring a heavy calamity on Fulani, Ase! We must think critically about Africa's past and the lives in it. I need you to lock this keyword in mind - PROPRIETARY RIGHTS AND TAXATION. All societies of significance and might in Africa existed under a suzerain authority. Rivalries between Empires existed for the purpose of expanding Proprietary Rights, first by installing frontiers, then commanding rights of access in and out of the domain and lastly making provisions under which interactions and exchanges that take place within the proprietary domain is taxed for the maintenance of the suzerain power and dominion. Is Fulani the only nomadic tribe in Africa? No. You cannot be a nomadic society and claim at the same time proprietary rights and right of way in territories under which the throne of dominion power has continued in its chain of succession without any break since the consecration of the dynastic Crown. Ask this backward educated Fulani how and when did they acquire Proprietary Rights over these grazing corridors in Yorubaland and which Ooni or Alaafin, Oba or Baale in Yorubaland told Fulani the grazing land belongs to him. Let me not drag this too long because I will pour venom on Fulani and might slip and say things that ought to be kept hushed. |
Aare, Eku kale o! I observe there is no deliberation of ideas here. I believe we have outdone ourselves with mentions and credits where they are due. Safety and security should first be guaranteed before setting agenda on tourism. Tourism brings money and crime follows money. Tourists to Yorubaland will be robbed, kidnapped, murdered, swindled. In response their home governments will issue travel advisory and blacklist our region and the traffic will die. What will be our gain? If the Governor had thought along this line and embark on safety and security guarantees as first line of goals, on a 1 to 5 scale, I would have given him a 5 but he didnt do his home work....so I give him 0.5. |
Shymm3x:Women like guys who are compassionate....big heart! They find them cuddly and sexxy, like these savages. ![]()
|
IyaIode:Well, there have always been trading all across the West African Kingdoms. Fulani did not have a kingdom, they were nomads and so they were guests wherever they grazed their animals into and as such they were taxed for right of way to markets. There was nothing known as Fulani Empire in the Soudan prior to White man arrival. Any prople in West Africa not referenced in Yoruba oral or written tradition were inconsequential and insignificant to the politics of our Empire and Kingdoms. The collapse of traditional powers gave rise to new contenders like Fulani. In Nigeria, concentration of political power in North furthered along their entrenchment in military, executive and political power. When enquired about the people to the North, Kabiyesi (referring.to Alaafin) told.Livingstone and.Lander about Borgu as next of kin and then mentioned Nupe and Hausa Kingdoms. On the other hand, when enquired about the people to the South, Muhammadu Bello shared the ancestry and history of the Yorubas and then went on to ask for Livingstone's help in appeasing the King of Oyo to stop selling his people and the muslims to white man on the coast. |
1bkaye:Dont associate with fulani, they have become non-entities in Yorubaland. Anyway, kaabo, eku odun gbogboro....didnt know id see you here again. ![]() |
COCKCROW:The first error is calling them Hausa/Fulani. Separate them and return the divide and rule to North. Back to sender.....fulani should be called fulani, not Hausa/Fulani. |
fulaniHERDSman:Are Yorubas in the North security risk? |
A fulani sociopolitical group has warned FFK to apologize for calling them tsetse fly or be taken to court. As we speak members of this group are still carrying unlicensed assault rifles and weapons and continue to kill the people of Middle Belt and burn their houses and violate the women and children. If you support FFK click Like to register your vote. To hell with fulani! |
QuotaSystem:Their problem with SS is regional. You deceive by calling yourself Hausa/Fulani. Southerners dont need to gang against you...we just need to wake Hausa up and arm them against you. That will be the next phase after boko. Your turban is bout to roll in the dust |
QuotaSystem:Im immuned to name calling....but im not immuned to tsetse fly. Come to Yorubaland and mess around if you know and are certain that fulani is a brave tribe. Do it. |
Buhari need to address disarming of fulani, thats a first priority security risk. Calling fulani tsetse fly is not a threat to life and a President has no business acting on such frivolity. Tell machette allah to do its worse,,,head to court. |
EUROBOMBER:Yorubas see it and responded to it. I wonder if you see it in East. They are doing to middlebelt what they did to Hausa. |
QuotaSystem:Whats stopping you from proving that theory? You know how to do it.....graze on a farm and if the Yoruba farmer challenge you cut him with your machrtte. Prove to us today that fulani is brave. Do it. |
These fulani idi@ts think other tribes are like Hausa that they invaded and crippled underfoot. Yoruba wants to sack Gambari from Ilorin and we cant wait for the opportunity to drop in our lap. In fact we will assist Hausa to take back their ancestral homeland and exhume your dan fodio and ship on the back of a cow to his root in futa jallon. Bloody murderers, bunch of r.a.pists! |
QuotaSystem:I dont need to be taken seriously online. I just need fulani to trespass the boundaries set for him in Yorubaland...das all! Petrol is on standby, matchstick is eager to strike.....we are waiting for the golden chance to set the country ablaze. All it takes is one fulani misstep in our homeland. Im realy surprised to know that Machette Allah can respond and offer to register the criminals under its wings. If the restriction had not been slapped on them can you imagine how many more damage they would have done? So these criminals are not unknown wanderers after all. Theyhave people they report to. |
otr1:Word! |
Fulanis are tse tse flies - FFK. Mayor endorses the message. |
fulaniHERDSman:When you are bound up and made to watch as guys line up and gang r.ap.e and destroy your wife t@t@ before a rope is thrown round your neck and anotber your legs to stretch you apart for the sharpened machette, you will recognize who the coward is |
Ahmedhussain3463:Fani Kayode has not said enough in damage compared with Ango Abdullahi or Junaid Muhammed and their whine to separate from Nigeria if they are denied power. Correct your leaders first and tidy them up before talking about others. |
fulaniHERDSman:We are looking for blood sacrifice to appease Ogun. This year we will pardon the dog who traditionally serve its life at the altar. Fulani blood will be sprinkled on the altar this year. Mess around.... |
fulaniHERDSman:We are on the hunt for your @ss...its a new day in Yorubaland and we are on standby to behead iredeemable fulani and r.a.pe your virgins. Come and test the restrictions we put in place to control you on our soil. |
Rawani:You are a slave! Were you a farmer, I can visualize you scared and on your belly begging fulani to take all your crops and feed to his animals. All this grammar just to show you are above yourself in civility and social cues. So Aliko Dangote is untouchable and cannot be disparaged by the broad stroke of the tsetse fly remark but Falae is dispensable and its ok for fulani herdsmen to humiliate him? I repeat....YOU ARE A SLAVE! |
