African names
I love my names and African names
they have meaning
they remind us of our origin
they give us hope when we are down

Foreign names
Most people who give themselves foreign names don't know the meaning

Cool names
you can shorten it to sound cool if you are bothered by complex the main reason why our economy is stagnant why we would buy foreign stuff instead of Nigerian ones

May God help us all

Peace am out

Nairaland GeneralNigeria Crashes Out Of Microsoft Software Design Competition by mayrho(op): 3:34pm On Jul 07, 2009
Nigeria has been eliminated from the on-going Imagine Cup competition, holding in Cairo as six finalists emerge from the 12 countries that made the semi-final round in the Software Design category.
The 12 semi-finalists were: Brazil, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Mexico and Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and the United Kingdom; while the six finalists are Brazil, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain and Taiwan.
A total of 67 countries had participated in this category. Nigeria’s ‘TeamX’ presented a project titled, Autonomous Health System X (AHSysX), which is a healthcare system that provides automated response to ailing pregnant mothers and/or their infants, through SMS.
Coincidentally, another African Team, 'Galsen Inov' from Senegal also had a similar project titled, ‘WICHI Assistant' or 'Woman and Child Assistant’, a platform for monitoring the pregnant mother and her child.
Finalists were also announced in Embedded Development and Game Development categories. For the first, they were China, Korea, Mexico, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States of America; while in the second were Brazil, United Kingdom and United States.Uganda’s ‘Team e-Farmer’ is however one of the five teams aiming for the Design for Development Award, which will be presented at the closing ceremony today.
Others are China, Indonesia and Malaysia, with two teams, Sponsored by ‘Microsoft Unlimited Potential’ the Award challenges students to create a software solution that is accessible to users in under-served communities.
To meet the unique challenges of providing relevant technology access, projects are required to leverage the SMS and voice capabilities present in basic mobile phones.Uganda’s Team e-Farmer’s project titled, ‘A Parent’s Hope, A Child’s Future’, is an innovative solution that allows farmers and traders to buy and sell crops though an SMS-based auctioning system. It also allows farmers to query weather forecasts, market information and seek expert advice on day-to-day agricultural questions.Contestants in the nine-category competition had been challenged to ‘Imagine a world where technology helps to solve the toughest problems facing us today’.

Christianity EtcWhat Is Hell To You by mayrho(op): 9:21am On Jul 07, 2009
HI guys, I was engaged in a discussion with someone on my way to work this morning and he told me wants to go to hell that Jesus went to hell that everyone is going there after here.
I objected and said am not going to hell fire then the argument began he said there is nothing like hell fire.

I kept quiet confused of what to say to him and worried for him and wondering if i have some kind of amnesia, I looked it up and came up with this please I need you guys to pls discuss this and educate me just in case am missing something

Matthew 25:41 tells us that Hell was prepared for the Devil and his angels. That’s why such a place was prepared in the first place.

any place of pain and turmoil; "the hell of battle"; "the inferno of the engine room"; "when you're alone Christmas is the pits";
a cause of difficulty and suffering; "war is hell"; "go to blazes"
(Christianity) the abode of Satan and the forces of evil; where sinners suffer eternal punishment; "Hurl'd headlong, To bottomless perdition, there to dwell"- John Milton; "a demon from the depths of the pit"; "Hell is paved with good intentions"-Dr. Johnson
(religion) the world of the dead; "No one goes to Hades with all his immense wealth"-Theognis
sin: violent and excited activity; "they began to fight like sin"
noisy and unrestrained mischief; "raising blazes"

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor T.b Joshua Predicted Michael Jackson's Sudden Death by mayrho(m): 5:59pm On Jul 06, 2009
God bless Abuzola & Tudor!!!

They are both a confirmation to the prophecy of Jesus too; when He said that the second coming of Him (Jesus), would be just like the days of Noah. Noah built an ark and told people of the coming danger of a great flood (a prophecy), urging them to enter the ark. But the people called him 'mad'; 'crazy'; 'insane' etc. They even questioned his reason for buliding an ark far away from the sea and they went on with their merriment.
But suddenly, the day came and the same people came to the ark, begging Noah to open. But it was too late; for God Himself had closed the door of the ark.
The people simply perished because the "Prince of the world" had blinded their eyes, thereby preventing them from seeing spiritual things.

I pray that your cases would not be like that.

Please & Please, Be Warned: whosoever cannot help to spread the good news about the kingdom of God, is only hindering the advancement of His kingdom here on earth and whosoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven whether in this world, or in the world to come.

Jesus also said every idle word spoken by anyone shall be accounted for on the judgement day.

                                  Therefore Beware!!!
Oga my own bone of contention is why wasn't it made public before the guy died why after.
it looks smells like something sh***
