You compare a "third world country" Nigeria that borrows to consume , with US world leading Economy of US that borrows to invest? ...are you not hallucinating?

If America converts as many dollar to bonds are they not printing currency to pay debt? What else is that?

You go and use your worthless Naira to pay foreign debt
you are agglomerting series of economic faux pax.
Bond is a financial indtrument used by the government through its Apex financial institution to control the money in circulation internally. Although there are other uses of bonds but have you seen any sane country using bond to pay external debt?
We are talking about the necessities of borrowing as a nation not payment of debt. That is why I said many nairalanders lack the basic understanding of economic management. No Nation on earth specially PRINT more money to pay its external debt. Definitely if you become the president of a nation you will surely plunder your country into economic woes. You cnt make a good economic manager.

How do we make up this assumptions?

The reason American can owe such and still remain solvent is the capacity of the economy to generate wealth.

Secondly , the US dollar is world's] legal tender, that means that America can print dollar to pay it debt anywhere in the world ,so in essence America is owin nothing... , but Nigeria government can not print Nigerian local currency, the Naira to pay it debt around the globe , nobody knows your Naira . paying your debt means you have to source for Dollar to do so cool

So you guys should come try to come up with another logic why APC should mortgage your future with debt sad
it was not an assumption but bold fact. As well, your writeup shows that you have little or no knowledge about world economies (pls take no offence). Economic viability is one thing while being debted is another thing. There are so many debt free states that are not economically viable unless you want to prove otherwise.
Secondly, it is a poor economic thinking to have thought that America can print its own dollars to pay off its external debt. If you were the president of Nigeria, would you order CBN governor to print more naira to pay off you internal debt?

And Nigeria will go farther without people like you. The young man or woman just aired his opinion and the best you could do is to call him a fool? So how can Nigeria move forward with people like you that can't even objectively debate a simple economic topic without resulting into curses and insults. Grow up and be human a bit.
stop replying that slowpoke. He is a threat to civilisation.

That is because of productivity. Is it the same as that of Lagos. Are Lagosians more productive that Americans or the rest of Nigeria for that matter. Then why the search under every rock for the latest tax idea. Something just doesn't add up. By the time Lagosians are taxed as much as Europeans or Americans and they cannot see London or Newyork then....
economic productivity under a rigid tax system like lagos is another thing to analyse. I respect your opinion bt let us not shift our focus here. Majority of Nairalanders are too simple-minded to have understood that an indebted state or nation does not necessary mean poor economic output/performance let alone understanding my first comment on this topic. Anambra state's debt profile might be way too smaller than that of lagos state but that doesn't mean Anambra state is economically viable than lagos state. You will see so many people blaming APC for this and that.

Comparing world's no 1 economy to your backward states it's the height of stupi..dity, just few months low oil price 26 states in Nigeria were crying for bailout, many couldn't pay ordinary workers salaries not to talk of infstructures till today and you are comparing yourself with US, I can see how financial knowledgeable you are Ot.on..do grin grin
it is too early to jump start a lovely day like this with.... - stooping so low to conversing with a simpleton of the highest genus. It's simply disparaging and an insult to the sensibility of economists in this forum. Notwithstanding, my point is.... I am not comparing America with Nigeria, I'm only trying to enlighten simple-minded people like you - that being indebted is not a negative economic pointer, neither is it positive; but we have so many advanced economies like America whose debt profile is as huge as their economy, yet yeilding fruitful economic returns. Like I said, only people who are well rooted in economic and financial activities will understand this.

American debt profile is as big as its econony.
Only a few people with basic economic and financial knowledge would understand this.

Property tax is normal in most functioning society i know. And they did not wait to solve all their problems first before collecting the taxes neither did they plug ALL the leakages before enforcing tax collection. Some of the advanced countries even had poll taxes. That is, you pay a tax before you are allowed to vote though it was later discarded.
All these excuses for avoiding tax payments hold water.
.
Is Nigeria a functioning society?

I fink Churchill is the fool with prefix "big" here. His reply did not only correlate with Senator's tweet but also out of point. Probably, he felt too excited to have conversed with a senator on twitter. The idiot wanted to trend.

What of jamb regularization
Education / Re: 5 Important Things You Need To Know About JAMB 2018 by Mazeltovscotty(m): 8:33pm On Feb 02, 2018
Ofoegbus:
1) Registration Deadline
JAMB 2018 process is ongoing, the registration which began on 6th of December will be closing by 6th February.

2) Mistake in JAMB registration
in case of mistake/loss of profile: to correct error in name send the (correct surname, first name, middle name) to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number used in the registration. to retrieve lost profile code, send (RESEND) to 55019.

3) Exam date
The exam date is scheduled from 9th - 17th March, all candidates are expected to come with the required materials. See more details here http://www.freecbttest.com/jamb-exam-date-2018-utme/

4) Subject combination
During the course of registration, a lot of students neglect the subject combination thereby filling the wrong ones, the truth is that no university will admit you if you did not fill your subjects well. If you made a mistake do well to correct them by visiting any JAMB accredited centers

5) It is easier to pass JAMB
It is very easy to pass JAMB if you keep by the rules, make sure your registration is correct, read and prepare, practice JAMB Mock CBT before the examination date

Wish you the best of luck

Click here to practice JAMB CBT online for free
is it a must for someone to do jamb regularization before he would be qualified to go for youth service? If yes when is the closing date for it and how much

On the contrary, Nnamdi actually saw his downfall. He knew Nigerian soldiers will come for him.

But no true captain abandons his ship even if it will capsize

It is better to die for something than to die for nothing.

No true leader drinks rat poison to run away from the realities.

For the fact that Kanu was able to mobilize and rode on the ignorance of some ill-guided fellows to share in his common cuase doesn't make him a leader. In point of fact, I would say no true leader would disguise like a sex doll overnight just to escape the reality.

I seriously disagree with the 2 previous posters. Aba is more popular than Alaba. Alaba is popular in Lagos. Aba is well known across most of the country.
you made a mistake, well i guess it was a typographical error to say/type Aba market is well known throughout nigeria but alaba is only limited to lagos. In point of fact Onitsha main market is more popular than Aba market. I got to know about Aba market when I got to East.
Do yourself a favour by researching on the finanancial capability of each market.
