obailala: All these "It is GEJ's project" children, your mentalities can be quite amusing.
So you knew all along that nobody pays for a contract once and you were making unnecessary pointless arguments that "It is GEJ's project"?.... irrespective of the fraction of the entire project sum provided by a regime, to you lads, it just has to be GEJ's personal property; even projects completed in 10 years after GEJ will still be termed GEJ's project.
Total project sum was estimated to be N167bn, GEJ provided N25bn in 2014 and promised to provide another N25bn in 2015 to continue the job. In 2015, the 25bn promised was never paid, it wasnt even budgeted at all as the entire Works ministry budget was less than N18bn. All funds in 2015 were transfered to the failed re-election bid. Without receiving pay, RCC and JB abandoned the site, construction workers lost their jobs and our ignoramuses jumped into conclusion claiming PMB has stalled the project.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/02/lagos-ibadan-expresswayll-concenssioned-fg/
2016, Fashola begs the contractors to return to site and promised they would receive their pay once budget is passed. Need I remind you that N50bn was set aside for that project in 2016 budget and as soon as the budget was approved, the funds were instantly released with the contractors scrambling back to site.
But according to GEJ children, it is GEJ's project. If saying everything is GEJ's is what gives your heart peace, irrespective of whether he provided a dime or not, then who am I to take away your peace?... I would also join you in saying it is GEJ's project.
Chidi the above message is for you too. You are the one with childish brain here. That Fashola is taking over to continue from where his predecessor stopped on a project, does it make him the initiator or master minder of the project. The previous govt has made all necessary arrangements, negotiations, and set out modalities on ground with good and experienced contractors to execute the job and paid them the first agreed amount. The only thing Fashola did here was performing his duty as supposed by just making their money available to them to go back to site. Now tell me how is this project his own? If the previous govt did not with the high level of intelligence and technical know-how award and start up this project, Fashola and his team will not know what to do on the road. He will mess it up the way he messed up the power sector. All these pay-per-post boys, I don't blame corrupt politicians, I blame you boys that made yourselves their tools. When you see grey, you insist it is black because somebody is paying you to call it black. Sorry... |

wellmax: Show me ONE LAW BOOK IN THE WHOLE WORLD where is requires you to place someone on trial 24 hrs after arrest. Name anyone in Nigeria who met his bail conditions before he was re-arrested on another charge. We see who the ignorant one is here. Your problem is that you don't read. You only know very little about working of the law. I'm done with you. You see when I say children have taken over nairaland, it will look as I don't know what am saying. Some people have chosen to be Zombie for life and keep displaying high level of ignorance. I should tell you where in the world they charge someone to court within abi you said 24hrs after arrest? I weep for the high level of ignorance among the youths of this country and the worst part is that they do not want to learn. It is quite unfortunate that the person paying you to come here and defend them did not want you to know that before an arrest, there must an evidence of a crime committed by the suspect which emanated from an investigation carried out. I expect you to be done with this argument because you are just a follow-follow Zombie, you don't even know your right as a Nigerian citizen. |
Politics › Re: Fani-kayode Meets Bail Conditions; Awaits EFCC To Verify, Release Him. by Mboi2: 11:50am On Jul 12, 2016 |
wellmax: Ok let me try to educate you. We have a ministry of Defense, with money allocated for purchase of weapons year in year out. Remember GEJ postponed the elections and his excuse was because of insecurity. He then decided to borrow additional $1B as the election approached under the guise of fighting BH, but what happened? That money was diverted to fund PDP campaign. NA purchase weapons everytime, but this "special intervention" by GEJ was stolen. Our money was stolen. Should we keep quiet and let it pass? Should we wait till we can arrest every looter in the history of Nigeria? All those queried so far are those who got from this $1B one way or the other. Again it is legal smartness to slam accused with fresh charges when he gets a bail. It may not be fair, but its not illegal. The alleged looters have SANs and other senior lawyers defending them, why haven't they screaming like you are doing? They answer is simple, they understand the law, while you don't. This fight is in National interest, if your hand is clean, go to court and clear your name. Do you remember Metuh, they way he shouted witch hunting witch hunting? What song is he singing now? Grow up, this politicians have robbed us blind and deserve to be punished, they will have tiher day in court. I think I should quit arguing with you because from your tone of response, your mind is so biased. There's no point joining issues with children like you who only what they can do best is to rain insults on people. In your country it is legal smartness to keep someone in detention for over 24hrs without trial and even when the person was sent to court and the court grants him bail and the person meets his bail conditions, it is still legal smartness to still keep the person behind bars for days and be searching for another thing to prosecute him. Boy tackle the points I raised and stop insulting your farther. |

wellmax: I gave you a link to the fund borrowed by GEJ. Read it there. $2.5B asked whoever told you. I read article, I don't feed on rumors. read my post again, its not about who was called to the sharing or not, it is about the diversion of our collective wealth, funds that could have been used to arm our soldiers, or provide infrastructures, jobs, you names it. This money was instead diverted to fund a political party. What can be more evil than this?
Expose on the pages of newspaper? Are you aware that some people practice journalism for a living? Abi you see EFCC dailies? NO court order was violated, I repeated none. What happened was that EFCC was smart enough to re-arrest them on another charge.(I had dealt with this issue before) Court give you bail, EFCC feels not right, they simply slam another charge on you and have every right to detain you.
This is not about PDP or APC, but about a sincere desire to see those who took us to this point severely punished.
In closing, if you want to make a point, do it without insults, else i will simply ignore you. You said money that was supposed to be used to arm soldiers; Can you swear that GEJ did not buy any equipment for the army? Your Buhari did not buy even a riffle for the soldiers since he came in on 30th may 2015 yet Nigerian Army is winning the war against Boko Haram, How? You said EFCC are smart? That's where you showed your biased mind. You just made it clear that EFCC is an agent and is working for the interest of Buhari not for the nation. Their aim is to permanently keep people in detention to silence them. where in your world is it legal to arrest and detain a citizen of your country for more than 24hrs without charging the person to court, why would EFCC after court has granted you bail still keep you in detention for days searching for another offence to prosecute you again? Please boy change your mindset and face real fact. The fight against corruption should not be for personal interest, it should be for national interest which must be done in accordance with the rule of law. |

wellmax: To all of you crying witch hunt, why only PDP or whatever, know this; this investigation is just for ONE case of corruption. I mean the current travail of corrupt cases is just an inquiry into the misused funds meant for fighting insurgency. GEJ got permission to borrow $1B under the guise of fighting corruption ( http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/168645-jonathan-gets-approval-to-borrow-1billion-to-fight-boko-haram.html ). The fund was suddenly diverted to fund the PDP campaign, shared by Dasuki as coordinated by GEJ. Tell me how many non - PDP where called to the sharing? This isn't about who was called or not, but about some people who took our money, under pretense of fighting insurgency, allowed soldiers to die unnecessarily while enriching their cronies. This is a fight that must be supported by one and all.
When we are done with this, we can look at other corruption cases. Another Zombie spotted. It is now $1b dollars that Dasuki shared no longer $2.5b? Were you people angry that no APC member was call upon when Dasuki was sharing the money? I never knew in the history of democracy that govt can expose someone's corrupt practices on the pages on newspapers then arrest and detain the person before investigations are carried out and when the court of competent jurisdiction grants the person bail, the same govt will refuse to release the person. Only in Nigeria that happens. Buratai who used money meant for procurement of vehicles and other items to buy houses in Dubai, to you it is not corruption and cannot be investigated. |

FFK does it by quoting a verse in the bible whenever he opens his big mouth to shiit.
Ekweremadu does it by wearing one very stupid masquerade regalia whenever he shows up before a trial judge.
Fayose does it by "reading the bible".
The Former Ineffectual Vice President does it by saying Baba is trying to Christianise Nigeria since his running mate has several churches scattered all across the country!!
The Ineffectual Buffoon himself did it by genuflecting before and licking the balls of every known General Overseer in the country.

This govt of Buhari and APC is the worst and most corrupt govt ever in the history of Nigerian Democracy. A govt that cannot stand opposition is an Autocratic and corrupt govt. Buratai bought a house in Dubai, it was justified and Zombies was ok with it. Dizieani bought a house in Abuja, it was corruption. Fayemi donated N1.5b for campaign to Buhari, to Zombies it was a lie. Even if it's true, Fayemi can afford it. N400m was given to Metuh for PDP campaign, it was corruption. To them the money was from fund meant for arms deal. They say all these because they know their Zombies followers will always foolishly agree. Fayose disclosed how Aisha Buhari got involved in Halliburton scandal, EFCC turned theirs eyes off it and Zombies believe it's a lie. They said Aisha will visit US to prove Fayose wrong, June 30th has come and gone. To those Zombies above me, the presence of an opposition in every govt especially in Nigeria is for our own good so that the present govt will do things right, but here the govt fights the opposition with all powers they have just to shut them up at the detriment of you and I and you are celebrating ignorantly. Just watch as Zombies will quote me, insult me and keep defending this govt blindly. I don't weep for Nigeria instead I weep for Nigerians who do not know their right from their left. |

davodyguy: Can you see why he was taken to court? I've said it couple of times already and would still say it. Many people home and abroad take loans. But it is bad for you to take loan from banks and fail to pay back as and when due. You signed the agreement and you must perform on it. You took Billions from Union bank and failed to pay back, do you want Union bank to collapse and send workers back into the Labour market?
If ben bruce had told the bank that he wanted to purchase a Beverly home with the bank's money, they may not have granted the loan. Why? He's taking money from Nigerian economy to boost that of USA.
Dangote, Otedola, etc can take loan, but when they default on the pay back period, they should be taken to court, just as Amcon did to him
Nigerians should stop this stupid sentiment and be realistic. Even in England, Wales, USA, CANADA, when you borrow and don't pay back, you can be taken to the court by the lender in order to recover his/her money.
It was under Jonathan in 2013 that Ifeanyi Ubah's capital was taken over due to court's order. it wasn't with Hunt then. Now under buhari, its witch hunt. It would soon turn to wizard hunting What you said is correct but you got it wrong somewhere and that was where you said he used the borrowed money to buy house in America.
