Gbawe: Surprise , surprise !!! Shocking to see "democratic" Jonathan working for the ambitions of an undemocratic election rigger who should be in jail if , according to Femi Falana, Nigerian Courts have the integrity to invoke relevant clauses that would ensure election riggers are punished and disqualified from contesting further elections. Next , the fans of Jonathan will come here to say he is strenghtening our democracy when Nigerians only see desperate actions from a man determined to be President in 2011 by all means possible!!! What is your biz? It is an in house matter and would be resolved as a family affair. PDPD is one and they will present a united front in the end. All that matters is that Uduaghan is loyal to the president and that Mr. President deals with the matter using his legendary wisdom and tact. |

But I think private industry (by this, I really mean non-profits, say churches, foreign universities looking to expand here, etc) should be driving the increase in supply, not the federal gov't. i mind the increase in quantity. we don't need it presently. an increase in qaulity vis a vis a reduction in quantity is needed. how can states that can't even pay workers salary fund universities in a era when you want to drive quality? |

wales: It is a welcome development and a bold step to balance the inequality in the education sector but more effort is needed in this sector that rotten away because of corruption and mismagement.Mr. minister go back to the drawing board and restrategise. I am still trying to get my head around how this is a welcome development. At least half of the universities(especially the state ones) need to be closed down ASAP and the present funding increased and divided around the remaining half. The quality of our university education needs to be urgently addressed if we are to make any headway as a developing nation. Schools are being established for purely political reasons, underfunded and poorly managed. No one who has visited at least three of the state universities in the last 3 years will call this a welcome development. Some times i just wonder for our leaders. You begin to wonder what they are high on? Ordinarily intelligent people just make very senseless decisions and try to sound convinced about them. Any sane person would prefer that school leavers stay at home for a year or even two and be assured that when they get into school, they will come out well educated and equipped to contribute to the economy. We will just end up building more schools, churn out more illiterates, increases the number of ASUU strikes and general unrest in the polity. |

i don't care about Uduaghan or Clarke. They are secondary in the scheme of this matter. more importantly, Justice delayed is bloody denied. this is insane. five months to a new election, we have lived through 3.5 yrs of illegality. The Judiciary is high on something cheap. At this rate, the Judiciary not even corrupt politicians will wreck this our nascent democracy. There is just no way we can defend this atrocity. Our judiciary needs a total overhaul. There must be clarifications in the electoral act that ensure that electoral appeals at all levels MUST end within 60 days after the election. No ifs, no buts, no exceptions. If we need to increase the number of judges of the appellate courts, bloody well do it. put an end to all these silly 2 months adjournment and increase the number of courts. I think it is about time we set our sights voices and keyboards on this lousy judiciary of ours without taking our eyes off the political elite. This lousy judiciary must be put in check. |

Barca takes the points here. We're in the Zero Tolerance Mode now. Come to Camp Nou, collect your goals, and go your way. If you're lucky, we will do just 2 or 3 and end it there. Else, if you like look for trouble and try to score a goal (that stubborn Llorente). Na 3 goals for any goal scored we dey do now. your get mouth die. i will be keeping a keen eye on my boy Guiseppe Rossi. |

Afren is one of the few companies that encourage Locals and indigenous participation in the oil and gas industry.
Freedom fighters criminals have set the stage for a new level of criminality in Nigeria. Where's Ateke Tom, Asari to see the rewards of their violent campaign. It will probably never stop until we learn to stop calling criminality militancy and criminals freedom fighters, this monster will continue to grow bigger and bigger. Where did you ever see freedom fighters become millionaires in the course of the fight? only in ND. Have you ever understood the ideology behind their struggle? It is all about the Benjamins. |

When you start a militia, You only know the beginning, You cant know the end. Even the offshoots might end up being out of control mikeansy: ^^^^^^
There is a universal lesson for all. Never support any armed group that is not an organised Army; they usually turn around to hunt their own people.
Osisikankwu is a lesson in case, he was in Uwazurike's Massob.
BokoHaram is currently busy killing Moderate Muslim Sheiks in Borno and Bauchi
MEND are now at risk of bringing down an Ijaw man's Presidency. You can loose sleep over real and fake MEND all you like but all of these are a fall out of the lawlessness that ensued in the ND.
It is possible to have other forms of civil disobedience to bring down a Government or change some policies without enthroning criminals as Freedom Fighters.
It is a lesson for all. This is exactly how the ND militancy started. you start a fire you cannot quench. When politicians were arming criminals for myopic political ends they thought they were being smart, almost a decade after it started the monster has grown bigger than its creators, irrespective of various looting schemes (JTF, Amnesty etc). People who live outside the shores of ND defend bare faced criminality and call it militancy yet the masses in ND live in fear of kidnapping and gun fire every waking minute. You only need to realise that the fatalities of these criminal acts that make it to the media are only a fraction of what is happening (do you know how many doctors have been kidnapped in PH recently? ). The next thing, this killer will be fully transformed into a freedom fighter and be recruited by one blood thirsty politician and the orgy of violence and criminality will spiral beyond even the control of our inept and politicised security agencies. I hope someone kills this man soon and that the media refuse to listen to him in the interim. granting publicity to the likes of Asari, Boyloaf and Ateke Tom is a major reason why criminality masquerading as militancy is still thriving. We must elect a govt that has the moral and political will to deal with this monster before it consumes us all. |

Cougar: hargo's hamstring was inevitable. this lad hasn't played in 2 years. the chances of him getting hamstrung is 95%. michael owen missed playing for 5 weeks and got hamstrung in his first training session. i am positive hargo will play again as long as it's not his knees that got troubled. players get hamstrung every now and then. it's part and parcel of the game. I see you point as Hargreaves' four-minute misery underlines the susceptibility of players to niggling, relatively-minor injuries after a prolonged period on the sidelines. Given that so many of these sort of injuries seem to occur in matches rather than training, it's presumable that the stress of making a comeback is the tip that turns vulnerability into setback. But on the bold point, quite whether Sir Alex will adopt a sympathetic outlook is questionable, though. His description of Hargreaves' "disastrous" outing made without a single word of compassion would suggest that it will be a long time before he trusts in Hargreaves again. And, maybe, ever considering that his contract is up at the end of the season. It is a shame.decent pro, on and off the pitch it seems. |

Do you not think that only then will present contractors know that the beat of the drum has changed and that dance steps ought to change? |

monkeyleg: @Beaf,
Priorities my friend, we have more pressing priorites. The Benin - ore road is the single most important road in this country. countless lives have been lost there, not to mention the total insecurity on that road. is it more important than investing in Nollywood? the answer is a Big Yes.
$200M well spent on that road will transform it, and have far reaching consequences than this wasteful. What about $200m invested into our Unity schools, which used to be centres of excellence in our country.
Oga has got it very wrong again, and you are here trying to defend him. Well done these are things that need time, patience and understanding, not the flick of a pen. In the meantime, the country needs to invest in areas outside oil, which is proving not to be enough to repair that road. After all, according to the logic of this govt, enough people have not died on that road yet. It will be repaired but not yet.Just exercise patience. Maybe after the contract for christmas fireworks is awarded (for which there will be a probe afterwards), a presidential panel will be formed to visit the road and ascertain the seriousness of its disrepair, maybe then a contract might be awarded. My brother, exercise patience, after all that is the name of the first lady. These things are not done by the flick of a pen. GEJ for life!!!!! |

[/b] Go and watch how Vela was obliterating all and sundry in the League Cup/FA Cup in 08/09 while scoring wonder goals for fun(one of them voted among Arsenal's 50 greatest goals of all time, and believe me, Arsenal have scored some truly stunning goals). . . an absolute gem of a player
Wenger switching to 4-3-3 since last season has not helped his cause at all. . . I can only imagine how clueless a player like Chicharito would look on the left wing. . .
Of course, Chicharito scoring some goals at the start of the season gave publishers all the ammo they needed to sell their papers/milk web-traffic from gullible fans. We heard the same rubbish about Macheda not so long ago, how is he faring by the way? you seem high on something cheap. Vela has no natural position, he is a natural disaster who is lazy to boot. ritchboy: The only one disgracing himself here is you with your moronic Vela/Bebe comparison. . .
Cos Hernandez manage score a few goals some mugus think he's the best thing since sliced akara.
Hernandez is a run-of-the-mill poacher and will never amount to anything more than that, because his technique/overall ability is very limited, compared to Vela at least.
Whether current ability or potential, Vela is light years ahead of Hernandez.
I blame Wenger for playing the boy out of position, if not you wouldnt even be making such a retarded comparison. shhh, stop calling Wenger's name in vain. Vela has repeatedly proven to be lazy and useless for 3 seasons. Even in carling cup games he is crap. out of position? which one is his position? he has played all over the park and remains useless all over. 3 seasons and still crap.
