Jarus:mate, you are yet to understand Nigerian power. It corrupts totally, every man that obtains it,even in small measure. It turns proper professionals into hustling politicians without ideology, principle or conscience. This story might be a fabrication (as is a majority of the stories in the Nigerian media today, based on credible sources and unnamed sources) but i think it is very plausible. You give too much credit to people based on articles in the papers that you know very little about the bias under pinning it. That seems to be a common traits in your assumptions ![]() |
jobless people. all of them are sponsoring people to represent their views on the silly blog. They can't even write convincingly. abi na PDP money dem dey share? |
Judging from whta ferguson has stated,I could swear its straight from jim iyke. Donjazzy was like her “brother” we know that and yes she dated MI and it was a “secret” relationship for cases like this. As for the whole begging…hahahaha trust me,the media has calld both head office in lagos and abuja asking of tutupie and she left orders that no one gives her number out…quite frankly,it was a release jim iyke gave out that made her talk! They had there arguments and she said he won’t getaway with it this time,he only hit her once and tryin to forgive him almost lead to another…dude we r d inner cocus,we knw d p,she rly treid to let it go but seeing he cld do it again, she had to bounce. She does not talk bout it much,we know cause she has said it from day one when her words were misquoted that she’ll give her evidence to d right people! Jim iyke knows she has evidence,we ve seen medical reports, these are brutal tutupie we are talkin about. Don’t hate d poor girl,we all know how jim iyke is,unfortunately he jus messed with the wrong person. And yes, this is nigeria but those involved ve said no1 will search for jim but when he comes to them, they would not hesitate in taking actions. Forget all these nonesense about her past,if he didn’t love her,he would not date her. Babe that has curfew, cldnt even go for work parties xcpt weekends will suddeny want to get pregnant. Hear it now incase you dnt knw,she is CRAZY about MI,jim iyke knew, herself and MI is something we can’t understnd but jim being a rebound happened to b sweet enough at first. What r u yarnin he dumped her…ahahahahahahahhahahahhaahaha pls go and do ur assignmnet well b4 comin here whoever you are! You can find me on rhythm,I’m not anonymous, If jim iyke sent u,na u know, the babe hasn’t done anything wrong in also sayin her part! Like we all knownthr is no media in nigeria that has not called rhythm to talkto her and I swear down she hasn’t come on air dis year…! Pls free her now,her past is her past, she knows what she sacrificed to make jim n her work,if he tried using me,I will so talk about it too! I hate bein invlved in bs like this but some people r jus bastards judging her from her past….which wasn’t so bad. D babe moved back to nigeria and mixed with the wrong crowd that’s all… Deal with it,jim was wrong to ve hit her! And yes she was driving his car,did he not park it in her house? Did he also not leave luggages of his with her? Did he not go out 24/7 with her when he was in town, did her family not accept him despite she lied they were just friends … My beef with tutupie is cos of jim iyke…foolish boy knows. I also rest my case! Peace n happy feb! |
Anybody wit a good head on a shoulder will understand tis fiasco 4 wat it is-BLACKMAIL!!!! Pure and simple in its oldest and darkest cacoon. ive bn an avid observer of tis drama frm day one so pple wit ur permisson i’d like to break tis down cos lady ur stories assume a different shade wit every turn. Some of us aren’t retards and we dt take kindly to suffering fools either. Firstly u stated dat he abused u cruelly and u forgave him aft a while came bk to ur senses and broke up to seek redress in court. Then u alledged he abused u and u immediately broke off and ignited tis media frenzy dat frankly has bn in ur favour 4 obvious reasons- his continual silence on d matter. U stated recently u cried 4 days wh he called it off nt dat u walked away and now u’re sayin d 4 months wit d boy was amazin and u had some of ur best days in its course. Pardon me lady bt tis doesn’t smell right! How can an abuser treat u so well in d same token u cried profusely wh he left and u find him totally amazing!! HABA! we’re nt blind now!it doesn’t add up.D pattern is dat an abuser will continue to abuse u 4 d slightest reasons and they’re far frm amazing period! My COZ happen to be close to ur crew and often regaled us wit enuf facts to draw our conclusions. ITS a fact dat within a year alone u dated DON JAZZY MI AND NOW JIM. ALL CELEBS and all ending in chaos!one yr! Ur big sis dated TERRY WAYAS and ur little sis dated WANDE COAL all ended in chaos as well so much so u posted comments abt dat situation as well bt it obvious didnt catch fire like tis one. U and ur family seem to endure quite an appetite 4 CELEBS! U and ur big sis fought over some men in AQUA barely a couple of months ago. u also shoved away a half drunk mulatto who was gettin fresh wit JIM in SOHO which resulted in a brawl and u ve stalked him to his hotel in ungodly hrs of d day to keep a tap on him much to d irritation of d staff of NANET hotel. U once picked him up frm d airport wit his car and abandoned him on LUGBA rd wh u got into an argument and it took d intervention of friends to curb d situation and yet he didn’t lift a finger on u despite d apparent provocation. U claim u’re sorted yet u work in RYTHM and ur dad is actually a top civil servant nt d minister of abuja and nt by far amongst d men dat run tis country cos we all know THEM. jim btw his endorsments biznesses careers i believe is pretty sorted out 4 life so kini big deal?na shrewd ibo bizness. My friend dat did biz wit him said he’s got a short fuse bt he has a keen smart as a whip biz mind. Wats tis thing abt him bn unable to enter abj? i dt thk its hard to find him anywhere so wetin now!4 a SORTED family u all hv odd preferences 4 certain kinds of men- very successful celebs and biz monguls.hmmm not a fine profile indeed if u ask me. NT a big fan of jim’s. Actually prefer desmond and majid bt enuf of tis shit! someone needs to speak up. My coz says anyone in abj can verify d veracity of his claims.Jst cos we all love to hate him dt mean we can be hoodwinked into doin d wrong thing. IM nt taking sides jim is far frm a DOVE and apparently tis lady is def nt an ANGEL either! if she wanted redress 4 wrongs meted to her then get ur tales right even if its make believe lol! show us proof and stop bn so damned arrogant posting ur extemely air brushed pics all over d net and media and beggin and threatening 4 interviews in all junk mags. I think sunday sun did tis case justice by reporting a somewhat clear perspective of d matter. Dat lady is shameless and will do anything to appear on d front pages of a daily. Are u d first woman to be dumped?ATTENTION! By desperate measures is wat i see here using an obvious celeb. NA BY FORCE TO FRIEND WOMAN?!! Na wa o! Jim d shrewdest tin u did was dumpin dat chic. lady, u banked on d fact dat we all love to hate jim but u forgot we love d truth more. Get over him and get on wit ur life or wat’s left of it cos tis bitterness wil poison u to ur pitfall. My summary is HEAVEN HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN DUMPED ABI SCORNED!LOL!! And on tis note i rest my case like my boy WANDA COAL! cheers mates |

perish the thought. the thieving crooks in power can never stand the likes of Attahiru Jega and Ishola Williams. Who spites his face to prove a silly point? These are men with a conscience that will not answer yes sir to these crooks. No way. Expect more malleable characters with shady tendencies. |
When he starts, me i will not mind chipping in my widow's mite. But for now, na siddon look. |
^^^^^ this is a serious matter o! i agree with you on the Timi Alaibe point. |
becomricch:Who are you? You obviously do not know me as i do not reside in the psychiatric ward. |
dude should come and mobilize market women,NURTW, NUJ and student associations. He should stop wasting his precious time at Marriott and Intercontinentals. The audience there will not vote, are professional critics and will not make the difference. That is the reason why Tinubu remains the godfather (as corrupt and undemocratic as he is). If this Duke tactic was a winnable tactic, Jimi Agbaje would have been in the Alausa house and not Fashola. |
dumb filter!!! intimacy = s-e-x |
what has my sex got to do with it? I highlighted that part because i have proof that Jonathan has no business with unofficial advisers like Ebitimi Banigo. |
Are you kidding me?? a man that ruined a bank with recklessness and financial gangsterism. With friends like this, the circle continues. |
By Yusuph Olaniyonu, 03.21.2010 Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, the Acting President, is well known to Nigerians over whose affairs he now presides. Since 2005 when he hit the limelight as the deputy governor of Bayelsa State, who was elevated to the gubernatorial seat after then governor Diepreye Alamiey-eseigha, was impeached by the legislators, Jonathan has been well known to his countrymen. They have seen him climbing up to become vice president and now acting president. What Nigerians do not know are his close advisers, confidants and strategists whose counsel, thoughts, ideas and opinions will shape the policies, programmes and plans which the acting president may unfold in moving the nation forward from this week. THISDAY checks in the presidency indicate that the new men who will shape the corridors of power are from varied generations, educational backgrounds, professions, religions and geo-political zones. Enter Olusegun Obasanjo, Theophilus Danjuma, Andrew Azazi, Hamman Tukur, Edo Obi and the Anyiam-Osigwe brothers. Exit Abba Rummah, Tanimu Yakubu, Ibrahim Shemah and Dahiru Mangal. THISDAY gathered that the men whose advise may be relied upon mainly by the acting president as he gets set to name a new set of ministers to help actualise his plans to move the nation forward are 12 in number. First in the list of members of the Jonathan inner circle is president Olus-egun Obasanjo. Obasanjo became close to Jonathan in 2005 after the former president engineered the impeachment of ex-Bayelsa governor Alamieyeseigha. Since then the two men had been very close as Obasanjo was also instrumental to the selection of Jonathan as running mate to President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, who was then PDP presidential candidate in the 2007 elections. Obasanjo had publicly called on Yar’Adua “to do the right thing in view of his failing health”, a euphemism for him to resign and allow Jonathan take over as president. The acting president will rely on the former four-star general who is the chairman, PDP board of trustees to rein-in the party behind him and to have a firm grip of the military. As a result of Obasanjo’s influence, Jonathan may also bring in some technocrats into government while he may also have used the old man as an emissary to some Western governments. Another member of the inner caucus is Lt, General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau (rtd). Gusau, who is now national security adviser, has taken centre stage in the Jonathan led government helping to give it direction and providing adequate intelligence support needed for crucial decisions to be taken. He has also provided good cover for the administration to keep in touch with key power centres at home and abroad. Lt. General T. Y. Danjuma (rtd.) is also a crucial adviser to the acting president on policy formulation and personnel sourcing. Danjuma, alongside members of the Presidential Advisory Committee (PAC), will be influential in the nominations into the cabinet about to be formed. Danjuma and the PAC members have also been helpful in advising on what should be the focus of the government in terms of programme to be implemented in the next 14 months. General Andrew Owoeye Azazi, former chief of defence staff, was one of 13 Nigerians to ever wear the rank of a four-star general. He is a close confidant and family friend of the Jonathans. Sources say Azazi is in fact being considered as chief of staff to the president, a situation which would reenact the Obasanjo presidency in which two retired generals whose area of specialisation is intelligence occupied the strategic positions of NSA and chief of staff. Then, it was Gusau and Major General Muhammed Abdullahi (rtd). Azazi is respected in intelligence circles just like Gusau, the NSA , who is his senior. The two men are already providing strategic counsel needed by the acting president to side step the booby traps and to make top policy and personnel decisions. Azazi will have some influence in who becomes a minister in the new cabinet. Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, the Secretary to the Federal Government, is another key player in Jonathan’s kitchen cabinet. Ahmed, a consumate bureaucrat became a key player in the Jonathan inner circle because of his pioneering bold move in January when he insisted that President Yar’Adua should comply with the provision of Section 145 of the Constitution by transmitting a letter to the National Assembly, which would enable then Vice-President Jonathan to act as President. His position surprised members of the Yar’Adua group and the first family. When his advice was rebuffed, he started referring key government files requiring the attention of the President to Jonathan in order to ensure continuity in governance in the interest of the nation. This action by a man they considered as a close ally further annoyed members of the Yar’Adua family. Since then, Ahmed had maintained a close relationship with Jonathan. The SGF is a major decision maker in the ongoing efforts to form a new cabinet. Most advisers in the Presidency report to the SGF, who is said to be a policy formulation expert. Alhaji Hamman Tukur, another member of the inner caucus is a young, dynamic well-educated northerner, is the secretary of the National Energy Council and former head of the Nigeria-Sao Tome Joint Commission. He is a man with strong intelligence background. He has been a friend of the acting president long before Jonathan moved to Abuja and has been a key policy adviser to Jonathan. Many who are conversant with the goings-on in the inner circle hinted that Tukur may emerge as head of a key ministry or even as the chief of staff to Jonathan. A strong source, however, noted that he is likely to become the next managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Tukur is the link between the northern intelligentsia, the turks, whose opinions now matter in the emerging politics of their area. This group includes Nuhu Ribadu, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Nasir el-Rufai and Mansur Mutar, many of whom may be brought into the government in different capacities. Ebitimi Banigo, top banker and former Minister of Science and Technology in the Obasanjo government is another silent but key Jonathan adviser. He is a family friend of the Jonathans who has supported the acting president through thick and thin when he was in the cold in the Alamieyeseigha administration as deputy governor. His advise will matter particularly in the nominations into the cabinet and in the area of fiscal policy formulation, budgetary implementation and monitoring. Also in the Jonathan inner circle is Lt. Col. Edor Obi (rtd), a former military administrator of Bayelsa State who handed over to Alamieyeseigha and Jonathan in 1999. Obi had maintained a close relationship with Jonathan, even when Jonathan was ignored in Yenagoa by members of the inner caucus of the Alamieyeseigha administration. Since 2007 when Jonathan moved to Aso Rock, Obi has been a constant pillar of support to him. Obi is still well regarded in Bayelsa State. Like Obi, another key operator in the Jonathan inner circle is Tony Ezekiel, an Abuja based furniture entrepreneur who has remained close to the acting president over the years and has the ears of Jonathan. Mike Oghiadomhe, former deputy governor of Edo State who became a close friend of Jonathan when both of them were deputy governors is a key member of the kitchen cabinet. Jonathan brought him to the presidency as deputy chief of staff until the position was downgraded by Yar’Adua to that of principal secretary. In the new cabinet to be constituted by Goodluck, Oghiadome may head a full-fledged ministry except he chooses to remain with Jonathan as a key adviser. It is also believed that Mr. Oronto Douglas, the acting president’s senior special assistant on strategy is another key member of the new kitchen cabinet. Unassuming but highly intelligent, Douglass is a cat with nine lives and one of the few people in the world to have survived cancer. He is a dependable ally of the acting president since the latter’s days in Bayelsa State’s government. He is Jonathan’s link to the civil society groups, the Save Nigeria Group (SNG) and the international community where he is very strong and viewed as an environmental rights crusader. He is seen as a good strategist in the Jonathan’s inner circle. In the inner circle of Jonathan also are the Anyiam-Osigwe brothers, Michael and Chukwuka. The two scions of a wealthy family have been very close to acting president Jonathan since his days as Bayelsa State governor. They are a pair of influential business leaders who can serve as Jonathan’s link with the business community at home and abroad. The duo will sure have a role to play as the acting president gets ready to interface with different sectors of the economy and the international business community. It is believed that there may be other influential Nigerians whose opinions will count as Jonathan strengthens his hand on the lever of power, but the above named men are the key players in the newly emerging inner cabinet. |
pappilo:Gbam!! you beat me to it. |
lannre:Gbam!! Whenever i read an article in Nigerian media, i ask myself, whose interest is being protected here? Which pocket is funding this view? Our media has become a cash and carry media. As devilish as Omisore is, i hope he sues the life out of Punch. hypocrites, the lot of them. |
teejaygold:i am tempted to suggest that the role of all the security agencies should be outsources to a capable country. |
all these divide divide talk, not only sounds simplistic but betrays the naivety of the proponents of this argument. Into how many parts do you want to divide this country? This is not India and Pakistan o! Nor is it USSR. Do you think the cries of marginalisation by the Ogonis will be solved by making the ND one country? Or the cries of the minorities in the north solved by creating a boundary at the River Benue/Niger? Our differences as a people are so numerous that all these talks of division will not address the problems at stake. our basic problem is a lack of leadership (not even bad leadership). all we have are men and women who just sit down and share oil proceeds from Aso rock to the smallest local government areas. As long as that persists, even when you divide (assuming you can get an equitable and acceptable division), the problem will persist. |
aisha2:Have we met somewhere before? How are you sure i have not taken my own advice? You are drawing too many conclusions in a haste. I have not said i was not at the rally or at similar ones in the recent past. I simply said that Dele Momodu might be a mole. We cannot see the heart of any man and as much as i believe good of all men until they prove otherwise, we can only go by a man's track record. Nigerians (including myself) are too gullible. Even in our desperation, we cannot forget to examine antecedents. There is no other tool at our disposal. meanwhile, what is your argument again? |
a shed a tear reading this thread. What made me cry was not just that i miss this era but the fact that Nigerian music seems to have lost its soul to vocoder and simulated beats in the name of production. DSTV and Hitv have so taken over that the days of watching local programs and falling in love with the sound tracks, going to music shows and concerts and being mesmerized by bands and artistes seem gone for good. This golden age is one of the few parts of growing up i keep wishing i could rewind. so we are still arguing over a few semantics and some paragraphs in the introductory post? at this rate will the SNC itself be concluded in 48 calender months? By the time the SNC jaw jaw is over, there might be no country left. |

By Olawale Olaleye in Lagos and Seriki Adinoyi in Jos, 03.14.2010 Former Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff in the General Ibrahim Babangida regime, General Domkat Bali, at the weekend berated the General Officer Command-ing (GOC), 3rd Armoured Division, Major-General Saleh Maina and other top military commanders and accused them of compromising the security of Plateau State by showing bias in their handling of the Jos crisis. Specifically, Bali pointed accusing fingers at Maina, who he said has taken sides in the crisis. He said his fear was that should the military be polarised along religious lines, it would be the end of Nigeria. Bali, a four-star general, gave this hint even as there were reports last night that security agents intercepted a truck suspected to be carrying arms in Riyom Local Government Area of the state. The vehicle with registration number, Bauchi XA 724 MSA, was however said to be conveying jerry cans of palm oil and many bags of cement to Kano for sale. He described the military commanders as being part of the problem in Jos and accused Maina of habitually not taking calls, irrespective of who is calling. “The GOC, Maina or – whatever his name is – I did call him many times, but he won’t pick my phone. So, one day I met him while he was going to the Governor’s office, and I stopped him and asked why he has refused to pick my calls after calling many times? The idiot only told me he was overwhelmed by the happening. You see, I am a General. I called to show interest in what was happening, because I am here in Jos,” Bali fumed. “After that time, I tried calling him again but he still refused to pick my calls. The reason I called was that there were fake soldiers from Niger, Chad and so on. They were flashed on the television screen and I saw some of them wearing canvas, slippers and so on. The people I saw were not boys that could not be stopped and their weapons collected from them. But with what I saw on the screen, they (the fake soldiers) and the Army were virtually operating together, and the army did not arrest or stop them [as far as I know anyway]. “So, I believe, and a lot of people believe so too, that the GOC is playing games with us, and that they are part of the problems.” Bali said as a soldier, he is not as patient as the state Governor, Jonah Jang because “if I were Jang, I would have made more inflammatory statements. I am talking about something very serious. This is not just about Plateau, but the whole of Nigeria. You see, the Chief of Army Staff is an Hausa man; the GOC is an Hausa man; they dictate who should come here and who is to serve in what position. “My feeling is that they should remove Maina, because he has shown bias for Islam and it is a dangerous thing not just for Plateau, but for the whole country. The moment this country is broken along religion line, there may be no Nigeria any more. Especially as it regards the military, because the ultimate force bringing Nigeria together is the military,” he said. Bali was optimistic that the Jos situation is not hopeless said Jos has always been peaceful. “When I schooled in Kuru here, it was the most peaceful time that Plateau was. We then were celebrating Salah as though we were Muslims children, and they were celebrating Christmas with us as though they were Christians. The conflict began when the interest to dominate grew. And of course it met with resistance; that was when the problem started. The issue is why must it be the Hausas that want to dominate Jos? Why not the Yorubas or the Ibos? That’s the problem. “I must tell you here that Jos-North was never captured by the Fulanis or the Bauchi people. They were just lumped with them. That was the problem of the indirect rule system, in which some groups were just lumped with the Hausas by the British for convenience of administration. It was for administrative convenience that Jos was lumped with the then Bauchi province.” On the intercepted truck, the military men stationed in Riyom were said to have received a call alerting them of “a truck carrying a large number of passengers” before it arrived the checkpoint. The truck carrying 44 men and three women, allegedly on a journey to Kano, was brought to the state police headquarter where the entire luggage was off loaded to determine if it was really carrying any weapon. Though a few kitchen knives, two saws, two hammers, two axes were found in the vehicle, it was not yet substantiated if they were really weapons to carry out an attack or mere tools to carry out their jobs. One of the women, Mrs. Ijeoma Stanley, who spoke on behalf of the other women disclosed to THISDAY that they are traders and that they were on their way to Kano from Port Harcourt to sell and in turn, buy cloths back to Port Harcourt. She said the other 44 men joined the truck from Okigwe. Driver of the truck, Mallam Lamido, who confirmed that the men actually joined his truck from Okigwe, said he did not have any cause to suspect them since they were not with any form of weapon. The suspects are being currently interrogated by the police to determine why they had to travel through Jos in such a large group at this time that the state is mindful of its security. |
^^^ because it is. |
