BackDatAssUp: The only major source of funding the 2014 budget was crude sales.
In spite of the drop in pricing which was duly captured in the budget with the low benchmark do you know we had no market for our crude since Obama blocked US imports from us but increased importation from Saudi Arabia.
If you major revenue drops the only option we had was to dip into our savings.
Try and post wisely. try and use your own advice. During periods of austerity, you reduce recurrent expenditure not borrow to maintain a life of affluence. You will not hear anyone complain about borrowing to furnish capital expenditure as these yields results in the long run. Who in their right senses borrows to fund recurrent expenditure? Are we Greece? |

Metuh is a clown. He has been one since his childhood. Is the Lagos state debt the reason why federal government is borrowing to fund recurrent expenditure? Maybe he could also tell us that Lagos state almost emptied the external reserve with nothing to show for it? |

Chiaka: Rubbish is patience also the reason for the closure of court for over a year and other ills been done by Ameachi in Rivers state? Ameachi remains the worst governor in Nigeria, he knows nothing about governance.......just as it clearly shows in his acts Did you read my post in full? I doubt you did. If you did you would see that i already acknowledged Amaechi's inadequacies. Concerning worst governor; you must be kidding. You have never heard of a man called TA Orji. He is my state governor and I am convinced the man is a gift from the fiery furnace. Amaechi is bad but nowhere near as bad as you make him out to be. He is locquacious and did almost nothing in his second tenure. He did very well in his first term. However, most of the insecurity and infractions in Rivers state are directly due to Patience Jonathan's interference. |

Wildrage: The danger of a single narrative, these people always count on our short memories in their stupid attempt at revisionism. Was it Mama peace who encouraged Mr Amaechi in collaboration with Sylva and Saraki (then chairman of the governors forum) to vehemently oppose the swearing in of Gej as the acting president, even lobbying the national assembly members with Ghana must go to make sure he was never sworn in? Their treachery started long before Jonathan became the head of state and all their subsequent actions were geared towards achieving a premeditated objective. Amaechi is an arrogant, over ambitious oafish young man, placed by good fortune in a position beyond his ken. He is leaving Rivers state more fractured and insecure than he met it As much as I agree with you as it concerns Amaechi, same and even worse can be said about GEJ. A great deal of the insecurity and fracturing oF Rivers state can be traced to Patience Jonathan and her desire to have the state in her bra. I seriously doubt it would have been this insecure if she did not arrogate to herself powers that are not hers. At least Amaechi was voted for, Patience never contested an election the last time i bothered to check. |

These are fed inventions in the east, armed with cash and soldiers to achieve abujas decrees in the east. I just hope that the lanky imam works wonders otherwise, your bridges will be burnt quickly in the ss. Your problem is not a mama peace. Your problem is your ego that is the size of a planet. QuotaSystem: There is actually some research done by a colleague at the University of Northampton which proves without reasonable doubt that the landing cost of imported petrol in Nigeria taking consideration of the fact that we have crude to exchange (containing more fuels like kerosene and bitumen) is just N35 proving the whole subsidy is a scam. Will make it available as soon as possible. Pls any link to this research? |

Politics › Re: 5 GEJ Ministers That Performed Very Well by mbulela: 11:01pm On May 24, 2015 |
Chidoka has always been a hype man right from his days at frsc. Manufacturing praises for doing nothing. We understand how he operates. He did the sum zero of nothing.
While I agree that Akinwumi did not bring downstream prices of foodstuff with his policies, his are long term actions that will yield results in due course. Most of them are not even reversible that is the good part.
I struggled understand what Nebo's name is doing there? Maybe as comic relief.
I am shocked that Mrs. Sarah Ochekpe is not there. She has quietly gone about her business and laying solid steps for long term water sufficiency. most wars in Africa are due to water than natural resources.
Not forgetting Aganga , who seems to have a clear idea what to do and has measurable results.
Omobola Johnson has done the sum total of nothing. Like a typical management consultant, all her ministry has done in her tenure is hold pointless lectures and seminars. Pointless jamboree. The analogue digital migration is at cross roads, no clear direction on driving Internet usage and making it contribute to the economy. Most of what isbhapprning in that space is happening inspite of government's inactivity. The woman is just matter (has weight and occupies space). Her first class brain has not been justified.
In summary, tacky list. |

But people are not clamoring for the offence past president of Nigeria, governors ministers, senators and all govt office occupiers committed against Nigerians and Nigeria economy. How many of them has been prosecuted? Why can't the two be mutually exclusive? So because you think we are not clamoring for the prosecution of certain individuals, we should be sad at the imminent arrest of a drug fugitive? Your argument is slightly pointless. |
