ChokolateBoss: U're d only one who's made sense so far. These other fellas ranting about how M.I's too proud and all that, it aint about being proud jare. Forward complaints to an email address when u get ill treatment at a club? Tf are u guys thinking? Let's even forget d celebrity angle. Clubs aint formal corporate organizations and their business thrives on how well they treat their customers. There was this one time I had an ish with with one of d workers in a big club in PH. The manager had 2 come down and was apologizing like I was Dangote At least it calmed me down and I could still go back after that. Imagine if they had told me 2 go send complaints 2 an email address. Mtcheew. So I'll actually go home, sit down and type a formal letter of complaint to a club's email address? Like seriously? Same shiit usually happens in banks (esp UBA) and managers even beg aggrieved customers. Ok let's bring in d celebrity angle. At least he's a top celeb in naija, so y not give d nigga a lil special treatment? If it was a legal case, that's different cos celebrity special treatment ish don't count. MI can get Peller's phone number and expressed his grievance within mins. So what exactly was the reason why the social media was used to bleat like a she goat in heat? If this complaint was from a regular clubber who had no where to turn, i will support it wholly. |

I am all for customers using social media to make their voices heard but when you have access to the owners, why come to the Internet to bleat like a goat in heat? Then when he is given a channel to direct his complaints, he let's his over sized ego get in the way. |

And he hopes to do that if I am the one going to study while he will be working. My fear is just the job part cos my sister in law just finished her PGD and she hasn't gotten a job yet and she wants to take up another course. My hubby suggested satsachekwan because of what he read that the place is cold but fair when it comes to getting jobs and immigration issues There is no guarantee of job anywhere. Just plan like you are not praying and pray like you your life depends on the prayers. Have a back up plan (it may mean returning home) and give your plan A your best shot. |

dablazor: Am sorry, I'd to crop out the other part of your post, am just going to focus on this important part (I don't care about FFK's persona) Okay.. Do you feel its ok for a Tinubu to hold a VP candidate on a leash? In all ramifications, that deal is totally fishy and diabolical. Even if his motive wasn't to become the VP in future, how about threatening a seating VP with his post-dated resignation letter if he wouldn't do his bidding(s)? I don't get it, who is more powerful; the VP or he that controls him..? I have no party, infact I see myself as a concerned Nigerian with an opinion and I support neither candidates, but I believe PYO has being made to sign such deal, its a wild guess. I will address your comment with a great deal of pragmatism. I am actually no fan of Tinubu. However, I do understand that Nigerian politicians all seek there own interest. The difference with Tinubu is that somehow his interest finds some little room to intersect with the good of the commonality. I believe Bakare that there was a a plan for him to sign such a letter. Looking at it pragmatically, Tinubu's camp were coming into an arrangement where the Presidential candidate and vice were already chosen. So they decided to go for an option where if there interests were not catered for, they could push for the resignation of the vice and have their own candidate in place (assuming it will be some compensation). However, this sin is not as grevious as you think. The presidential candidate will still have a great say in who his running mate is after the anticipated resignation of Bakare. I doubt a man like Tinubu will just settle for having a stooge as VP. VPs are as powerful as the president allows. I genuinely think that he has supported the choice of Prof not just because he is a loyal lieutenant of his but also because he truly believes that Osinbajo has a great deal to offer to this country. You can accuse Tinubu of several things but his choice of human resources for leadership positions is often nothing less than excellent. I will not bother guessing whether such a letter existed in this present setting or not because the scenario is completely different this time around. |

dablazor: Might be hogwash, but this is worth looking into.. I saw the PTB Bakare tape on youtube where he publicly admitted as to how he was being told to sign a resignation letter as the vice president of the FRN when he indeed was just a VP candidate. You, like many people do not seem to understand the point Bakare was making. ALSO, you do not seem to see that it has no bearing with the silly accusation FFK just cooked up. Bakare and Tinubu cannot stand each other. Tinubu was asking for an advance resignation letter (i doubt the legality of such anyway) from Bakare so that if they reach an unworkable junction they can discard him. This was a prerequisite before they (ACN) could align with Buhari in the last election. Bakare, rightfully refused and Buhari stood by him. The deal fell apart. FFK has foolishy juxtaposed that story in this present setting and come up with an Osinbajo story. If it were even true and Tinubu became vice president, will he then proceed to kill Buhari and become president? Whatever is going to happen, this election should come and go so we can have peace from the likes of FFK. If this man remains in the news for another 6 months, his stupidity might induce a military coup or an unlikely civil revolt. The silliness is mind boggling. |

This pinnick guy is just a clown. Going up and down amassing estacodes in the name of senseless journeys. All he needs to do is liase with several reputable FAs like the English and German. At very minimal cost, they will have your coaches come over for holistic update courses. What makes him think that Wenger has the time for his lousy requests. The other time he was visiting Pellegrini to discuss iheqnacho's future. Is he also an agent? How and why do we always end up with these jobbers at the head of our football? |

ziccoit: Fayose is not the problem but the society that produced him as a leader. There are about four essence of leadership, Fayose does not possess any of them. Our situation as a people of Nigerian nation becomes pathetic when you consider the state that produced Fayose as a leader. Ekiti state is popular for its erudition, a state with the highest number of professors and doctorate degree holders. Can we now say education doesn't always bring the best judgement out of people? Certainly, Fayose is yet another mistake in the political history of my dear nation. He has persistently demonstrated how he shouldn't be in a forum where leadership is being discussed not to mention being a leader. If you don't think my country is a failed nation; ponder on the picture below. I owe you a drink. I am not joking. If you live in lagos, please confirm and i will send you a bottle of something strong (of your choice). |

I am too wise for such contraptions. However, GEJ is the worst of the lot. A clueless, inept fellow who has been completely unablebto provide leadership of any form in our time of greatest despair as a country. We understand their myopic view. If he and his wife are not ashamed of that shambolic conference that worse than an alumni get together then they are of all couples most miserable. Buhari is not the change I see but we cannot reward mediocrity, ineptitude and utter cluelessness with another term. This election is not about Buhari,it is about passing a verdict on the failure of GEJ. I really do not care who coolext d money or not. |

saintneo: First things first, the rate at which people reserve space on the zeroth page of an important thread is getting alarm. I think a moderator should do the needful. Attention: seun, ishilove, etc.
On the main matter at hand, I think the Civil Society got this one wrong. There are very very very very few places in Lagos with pipe-borne water supplied by Lagos Water Corporation. Over 90% of houses in Lagos State do not have water provided by the utility company. Water supply requires huge investments and dedicated management; consequently, privatisation is the perfect solution. If the Civil Society is interested in ensuring that the poor get their fair share, then they should fight to make Lagos State Government to provide water subsidy for the poor using water stamps. Yo add to your point, we could even have residents on elite parts of the city subsidize the supply to the poorer areas. II and only if the quality of the water distributed can be guaranteed. As it stands even the 10 percent you mentioned dare not drink the water coming into their homes. However another truth is thay if we pay for water too,the only free thing remaining will be air. another side of the coin is why not privatize if you can guarantee quality and city wide supply? The problem with these people is even when they sign an undertaking for such caveats, they will charge without delivering and refuse to return to the status quo. |
