The battle for Amaechi is not over.
If Wike could rig the presidential election, imagine what he will do on the 11th?
Wike might be a thug and unrefined character but his political machinery is unmatched in the state. The biggest mistake Rivers politicians made was underestimating him.

Wale Tinubu openly supported Buhari. He provided the Private Jet that Buhari used for his entire campaign,,,,thats why Muazu and Okupe accussed Wale Tinubu of causing Petrol scarcity a few weeks ago
As you can see, we did not mention Wale Tinubu.
It is obvious where he is.
Infact he will be the man friday for this govt in corporate circles.

there is really no need for some of the comments APC are making in this press release.
Just ask your men to return to sitting and end it there.
Even if Fayose imposes curfew, folks can still celebrate during the day.
No need for heating up the polity endlessly.

I doubt it. But let me go and tease him sir.
His Egbon said the same thing before he started licking oil.
Tell him that i said the case is slightly different here; he has adored the general for most of his adult life. Not damascus converts like Egbon Segun and ogbeni Reuben grin

On an unrelated note, call your friend Simon and tell him to get ready to occupy the former seat of his Egbon Segun :-)

Jega's f.oreplay lasts forever.
When will he finally come?
How come they have not added the older figures all these while and simply add the borno figures?

Jarus:
Well, Atedo was and still remains my "professional mentor". That cannot change. He was a fine investment banker that ranks high on corporate governance.

I have never agreed with his political interventions since he became vocal on politics/political economy post-banking career.

So I don't know what you mean.

And let me tell you another Dele Momodu tale: I have not hidden my disagreement with him on his post-banking political leaning and he knows that. I made that known in my book, The Road to VI, where I dedicated a chapter to him, and I finished the chapter with a statement to the effect that I disagree with his style since he started talking on politics. He had read the book and given his feedback.

So the banker Atedo remains my hero, but the political commentator Atedo I never agreed with from day 1.
You and I have said basically the same thing.
On this point we agree.

I didn't get your point on this: "These guys were anything but GEJ cheerleaders"

Are you saying these guys did not support all along?

Are you saying I am not aware of where their support lied throughout?

Please let me know exactly what you meant by that post.

I can ignore your "Dele Momodu tale" part
Apologies for my typo.
I have modified the post and made myself clearer.
Those guys are GEJ backers through and through.

what i principally remember Otedola for , esp in the obj years was using political influence to jump queue at ports, thereby reducing his demurrage costs. that was when zenon was doing diesel direct and the guy was feeling on top of the world - all that ended with yardua and diesel direct died
I doubt that fellow can do business in an environment where rules work.

I only pity the Ayeni man, Skye Bank Chairman, and Atedo Peterside. But we are not out for vengeance sha.
Atedo your godfather has learnt a lesson in his old age.
How a man I once respected rubbished himself in the name of ethnicity. Parochial sentiments I never expected from a seemingly intelligent man.

They all supported Buhari.

Wale Tinubu, Dangote, Femi Otedola only played their card to their chest.

I was having a chat with someone closed to them and he revealed all that far back February.

Femi Otedola was once going round his office and asking his staff who they will vote for. Knowing him to be GEJ's friend and in other not to offend his Oga, he said he would vote for GEJ. Femi scolded the guy.
Jarus and his Dele Momodu tales!
There is no proof these guys were nothing but GEJ cheerleaders. Let's not try to rewrite history that was obvious to even the partially sighted. Next thing we would be told that Hajiya Bola Shagaya votes for Buhari.
They can all realign interests for the sake of their businesses but we as the people do not want business as usual where the interest of a few overwhelms the governance of the masses.

Most people demonize tinumbu for God knows why, but this CHANGE won't have been possible without him. Most of our politicians are corrupt, the difference is what they do with their wealth, some go store it in swiss bank, some waste it in futility, some use it to build institutions, create jobs, employs people and political structures, if at all Tinubu is corrupt as alleged, he belongs to the later. To create a change around here, it'll take the dirty politicians to fight themselves, you can't be a saint and do it, or where will Buhari get all the money to fight an incubent with unlimited cash. But from here on I believe things will be better and there'll be sanity and if they mess up too, we'll send them packing.
I love realists like you.
Buhari is no miracle worker. However, this change was necessary so that our politicians will take us serious. We had been taking for a ride for too long.
Even when rigging, they will do it with lots of tact and rigorous planning. The masses have regained their voices and Buhari had better be warned.

For all the noise he makes, he is not a political organizer at all.
He has been in power for 8 years yet Wike uses him to clean the floor.
Look at Okorocha who still has a second term election to fight, yet he gave PDP a good fight and went down blazing.
Amaechi needs to be humble enough to learn some lessons.

I perused through their website last night and read about how they have 2 sources who gave them info of some APC top officials who have already left their present locations for Abuja, as they intend celebrating GMB's victory once announced.

Which means, e don sure be that. You begin to wonder their source. And thus far, like you said, the result they posted yesterday has been in sync with what Jega is giving out presently.
Come on guys, these results were collated and announced in the states before the Abuja presentation.
