Those supporting and praising Davido for spending 45million naira for a lady that he hasn't gone for her introduction are part of the wasted generation that we often refer to. It is a very bad precedent with grave societal consequences. As rich as Dangote, he will think twice before spending such amount of money. Davido's action can be likened to someone who is rich and famous but unable to control his fame and wealth. Too poor!! |
Jones4190:Thank you dear. If we are really sane minds, the govt and the police ought not to be blamed. But since truth is acidic in our clime, you can be rest assured of more nonsensical post here. We are already living in the evil times. |
Drivers operating under Uber, Taxify and other e-Hailibg schemes under the aegis of the National Union of Professional e-Hailing Drivers Partners (NUPEDP) have vowed to embark on strike during the May Day celebration following discrepancies observed in the condition of service and engagements arrangement, including security concerns, unrealistic targets and poor pricing mechanism. According to a statement made available to the Nigerian Tribune on Monday in Lagos, the NUPEDP stated that its members have decided to embark on a nationwide strike following an exploitative and uncaring policy of the service providers. In the statement signed by NUPEDP Secretary, Mutiu Ola Awosanya, the group vowed to downtool come May Day due to exploitative nature of many of the App’s companies. “Due to exploitative and uncaring nature of the service providers, the Apps companies that merely serves as interface between the passengers (riders) and we (drivers), driver partners and investors; it has become necessary for us, after several appeals to them to fashion out ways and manner to start addressing the too numerous challenges we face daily in the course of our jobs, to make our appeals open to the larger public. “Paramount among the several challenges that we face daily are in poor condition of service and engagements; Lack of concern for security measures; Unrealistic targets; Poor pricing mechanism and others. “It has become necessary to withdraw our services on 1st May 2018, marking the May Day Celebration. This serves as protest towards the treatment we were being subjected to by these app companies. “This withdrawal is the beginning of our agitation towards a better and more refined e-Hailing business in Nigeria. We hope that by this, well-meaning Nigerians and all apparatus of government within the transportation sub-sector of the economy would come to our aids. “The strength in our unity cannot be over-emphasized. It is high time our huge investment is given serious considerations,” the association stated. - Nigerian Tribune

For a bank to sponsor decadence and immorality instead of channelling resources to human development and other essential fields is the most despicable. Rubbish |
Your post did not take into consideration the calibre of people in the business hence you sound insulting in some the points. Get it into your mendula oblongata that we are Nigeria where only those in offices are regarded or accorded respect. And it is obvious u are one of them that looks down on drivers. #Bullshit |
dru23:Guy, you are getting it wrong. The fact that someone told you he made 68k does not make it a regular occurrence. He should consider it as the miracle of the month for himself because, apart from being a rider, I am also a part time driver partner. And I also know dozens of these Driver partners and I interface with them regularly; so I know their pains. You can even do your own research on this matter. The work is not easy, and the only way for these people to be committed and comfortable doing this job is to look into their grievances with the hope to correcting whatever they feel is wrong otherwise, it is a case of monkey dey work while bamboo dey chop. Period! |
dotclean:Stating the obvious. Neocolonialism in disguise. In any case, the power truly lies with the Driver Partners. They should make the best use of such power |
The truth is that these guys do not sleep and they are complaining that the work is no more paying. They maintain their own cars, they fuel, buy data and units for calls. Before the advent of Uber, a ride from Domestic Airport to Lekki used to be between 4500-6000. But now and in some cases, it is between N1500 and N2300 (toll fee inclusive) |
E-hailing partner drivers to the two foremost e-hailing apps companies, Uber and Taxify have expressed disappointment over the way they are being treated by the two companies likening their situation to neocolonialism and modern day slavery. "We work 2/4/7 with nothing to show for it" because fare prices have been slashed by 40% while they(app companies) left their commission untouched, what rubbish!" exclaimed one of them. You will recall that while other service providers are increasing prices as a result of running costs, Uber decided to slash prices of fares without consulting their driver partners just because they wanted to woo riders at the detriment of the drivers. The drivers considered the development as imposition and smacks of deliberate attempt not only to belittle them but continuously put them in state of poverty. "They didn't even consult with us. What is the essence of the partnership if decision are one way" ? Or have they forgotten that most people in the business are full-time investors and well educated? they queried. Late last year, BRT increased their fare between 15-25% owing to overhead/maintenance costs. Just last month toll fees in Lagos were jerked up by LCC attributing the development to running costs as well. As it stands, the driver partners are not leaving any stone unturned in order to reclaim what they described as their 'lost glory'

Delta State has lost its pride among other states because of these stupid and good for nothing politicians. Imagine this brainless lawmaker and his activities when campaigns haven't started oo,; idiot! If you go to Warrior now, you will be amazed at the rate of unemployment and underdevelopment yet, this slowpoke has no other thing to offer but to be a bootlicker to Okowa. Wait oo, the thunder wey go fire you is warming up. Fool!!! |
How could you believe a desperate olosho? This night crawler that is known for serious poking all times. Once they are sent to abroad with our stolen oil money, the next thing they do is to come back to Naija and form ajebutter and start belittling every guy that is providing essential service. She forgets that Henry contributes more to our GDP than herself who roams about looking for guys to extort. Nonsense |
Jaykolo10:Don't mind this one of the brainwashed of this generation. The guy is a typical example of a wasted generation |
Techno phones are not being recommended for quality apps such as UBER and Taxify etc because of their poor operating systems. Guys, u better improve on quality and stop using pricing as a manipulator |

Congrats bro, your whistle is genetically inherited. May God continue to uograde you from levels to bigger levels |
Chinco don finish us oo. Dem just pack our dough through this their poorly acquured phone technology. Their system of recycling in the guise of phasing out and relaunching is even more worrisome. Dem try for Naija sha, no thanks to Nokia and Samsung brands that were or, are still interested in only our oil money. #Bullshit |
Money just dey intoxicate all these so-called celebrities....stupid people |
clefstone:They both stole Delta State blind....Judgement day awaits |
End-time levels. No advice can change this again, afterall, the fly that wants to be buried with the coffin will never listen to an advice |
Whatever! But there is a clear and marked difference between this couple compared to our Nigerian's proud and arrogant ones. Despite their fame cum controversies surrounding them, they are steadily building a home to the admiration of every homo sapiens #GreatCouple |
Is it not the same man who flaunts all sorts of cars and wealth as if he has an industry apart from being in government. Nigerians are not fools. This Dino MeLie(not Melaye) is a hypocrite, a self serving and unserious raggamufin. Idiot! |
It is known as Puffadder and highly edible. Sleeps a lot and very dangerous |
It was a matter of lack of perseverance and lack of awareness. Google has the apps market and can do anything to monopolize it too. I doff my hat for the brains behind google |
So what? |
These so-called celebrities are seriously having negative influences on the poor masses. Some of the things they say and do for these guys who do not care about them show that once poor you are as good as being brainwashed. #LackOfMoneyMakesManFoolish |
Igboesika:Which kind person be dis ![]() |
abu12:Let us be mindful of what we say. If you are quick to speak than to hear, you will make many mistakes in your utterances. Also, try to limit your attacks to the individual you are responding to his or her post. Generalization is an uncivilized way of addressing issues |
The times are evil. Nothing good seems to be coming out of men anymore. Men are now synonymous with hate, rage, immorality, divisive tendencies, religious/tribal fanatism and intolerance, lack of respect, hypocrisy and all forms of dangerous wickedness. I make bold to say it again, the times are EVIL. The world is nigh the end |
This babe na pure ashy. imagine the nonsense. if this were a video NVCB would have banned it. |
The Igbos lack sound politicking. They are straight thinkers and preachers of hate. The earlier they realize their f**lishness, the better. Power belongs to God thus taking it by force spoils the show. Drums of war and secession are outdated ways of channeling grievances. 21st centurity demands for dialogue if an issue is to get attention of all. If the Igbos would conduct themselves well and give support to a constituted authority, I would support their aspiration |
Please, let us put our facts straight. Slot is never the owner of Techno and Infinix. He is rather a major dealer of the brands. I work in Transsion Holdings and I know what I am talking about. On the acceptance of the brands, it was through serious researches and aggressive marketing by the chinese guys in collabo with major Nigerian phone dealers. Bird is a different brand entirely from the transsion's phones chain. However, Mr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo is a rugged and successful businessman. I doff my hat for him |
