Now I know that most posters are uninformed. How can you hear only a side of story and make your conclusions. This attituide of "pull him down" will not help us. I have not met Dr. Akingbola before but know of people who have been working in his organization. Here is one man who has refused to introduce modern slavery otherwise know as 'casualization' in his company. He has equipped his workforce to an extent that when you are known as a worker in his bank,you are considered comfortable at least. Through CSR, he has affected, the education sector, the environment, commerce and many more areas in the life of this nation and her citizens. What about those in power who contibutes nothing but keep looting. For goodness sake, these guys need fair hearing before we kill them with our distasteful comments/posts. Nigerians, please be wise and base your comments on convictions and not hearsay

People should watch their contributions in what they know little or noting about. I have heard of the Ibrus from childhood. They remain one of the most industrious families in this country. Their riches predates modern Nigeria and as a result should be well respected. Their present travails is not enough to tag them as thieves. Their investments are enough to speak for them. Remember that the Bank which Cecilia is being accused of mismanagement was founded and nurtured to its present status by them. Therefore in a situation like this, they ought to be given fair hearing. Afterall, those who have been looting state monies have not been so disgraced and chained like we saw in the past few weeks.

7 years is ok but anything beyond that may create old age complex

It should be within acceptable gap to both parties. However, it shouldn't be more than 7 years unless the babe is the "second-hand" type.

Our greatest problem is our pride and sense of judgement. To me, the Igbos have contributed so much to the development of Lagos especially in the area of commerce. I believe they deserve some level of recognition. The Lagos State Governor has realized this and that was why an Igbo son is appointed to the State cabinet. One thing is clear; Governor Fashola is a very reasonable person. therefore one cannot just advance blames for this action. I am sure something cogent must have informed this decision. I can only advise the governor to look at the move critically as it relates to the constitution and Nigerians' rights to assembly. But in all sincerity we ought to kill this tribal dichotomy. As someone from Delta State, i am sometimes pained and if I had my way, the first thing I would have done about this tribal discrimination was to go to Maryland in Ikeja. If you ask me for what; to pull down that statue in which only the major three ethnic tribes are seen carrying Nigeria afterall, Ibo, Hausa, and Yoruba alone does not make Nigeria. Whoever is not proud of his colour is not fit to live. Tradition marriage predates history. It is a way of showing appreciation to parents of a wife to be. It is worth it. It is good and should be continously practiced. Even God sees it as the real solemnization and not the so-called white one which sometimes undermine the consent of parents and indirectly exposing both the guy and the babe to fornication in the sight of the Creator.
