Just to add to Oga sigas reply. Make sure, the school offers d other course u want to change to as a precaution. Ask for their refunds policy.
Else, some schls such as centennial college will deduct 2600 dols non refundable fee. And make you undergo some rigorous letter writing to them and immigration that you want to transfer to another schl(assuming they don't offer ur second choice course).
I don't think u want to go through all dat wahala as a newbie and during winter...

Actually graduated with 2:2 in Accounting Education and when I wanted to apply to a uni , I intended applying for business management or tourism management and I have 101 reasons for studying either of those two courses, but due to all this Canada visa policy shit. someone told me it would be difficult for me to get admission in those courses with my certificate stating Bsc(Ed) and he gave me reasons and instances which I understood quite well. I was then advised to go for Early Childhood care Education and Development cos I did so many courses related to that and it's all in my transcript and now conestoga college gave me admission on that course. My worry is this, if the certificate on this program is marketable and my chances of getting a good job while schooling in Canada without considering the course I am doing in the uni..... I have done much research though and I can see some funny job placement after the program. So that's why I want to change to business management in that same school or hospitality management..

U can change ur course when u get here ....but u will have to change before u go too far in the program or else it will attract tuition ... there are deadlines to when u can drop courses... once that deadline is passed... u will have to pay ni ooo..But there is no law or rule against changing....

In my own application I included all the survey plan , CFO, etc , I mean all the documents that is related to the property I mentioned in my sponsors letter......I submitted all

Landed property document is to show that your sponsor still has something of extra monetary value and home ties tooo though ....all landed property must have C of O. In a nutshell is just to proof how strong ur sponsor is financially even if he spends millions on you it would not affect him.

Did u fill anything on the travel history column?
Did u specify your proposed length of stay on the form or write on ur sop?... I guess the Vo must have got stoned before attending to ur app cos if u did fill those reason stated for ur denial on the form correctly I don't see anywhere else u need to specify those shit again except on the form.... The Vo was really stoned.

When i saw all these reasons i just smiled , i felt this letter wasn't for me . cos i spent time re-writing my SOP and even sent it to some peeps here to make corrections and fixed those loopholes that led to the first delay.

Going for a 2 years PGD course in Business Management - International Business @ Lambton College

Guy see , I think the refusal is as a result of omission of some column in the filling of the online form...a friend of mine who was refused because of the reasons u mentioned also felt so bad and he later realized that he had omitted some key places when filling the form and sometimes you need to rechecked those forms before submitting because while filling the columns the page could have autho refreshed and if that happens , then all the places u thought u have filled would wipe off.. So be extra carefull when filling ur form the next time and cross check before submitting.. Note: no column must be left blank , just fill NA meaning Not applicable on any column u feel is not applicable to u..

This is what I feel happened to ur application I may not be right .But it happens to a friend of mine..

Now my bp is rising .i can see a sept 3 applicant already got a message from Ghana.. All sept applicant be ready for good news as from now oooo.. Especially those of sept 5 to 9 u all should know your fate by next week. Make we all do 3 days fasting and prayer oooo we paper route applicants. May God answer our prayers speedily with good news.

One useful and free advice you have to stop all manner of getting stoned from now till u get called up for medicals...if u are tested drug positive then you are a gunner...lol

Reasons for denial

they cross some boxes with the following reasons
1. they said, you have not satisfied me that you would leave canada at the end of your stay. in reaching this decision, i considered several factors, including:

a. your travel history
b. length of proposed stay in Canada
b. purpose of Visit
c. Your current employment situation
d. your personal assets and financial status.

above mentioned are the crosses they made

From all what u have listed as a reason for TRV denial, I can deduce that either you made some omission in your forms like that of the item (a) May be u did not fill the travel history space in the form cos u cannot afford to omit any space in ur form
B) maybe u omit that tooo or u don't even mention how long u are going to stay in ur SOP
C) may you didn't even bother to write sop
D) u did not not give details about ur current employment like ur position , duties and so on
E) they asked you for your personal assets maybe because of your age, or because they can see you are earning good cash from the look of your SOA.... Just try and go through your form and see where the mistakes come from... Bless you

Yeah a conestoga applicant here.. I joined their students association on tweeter and also follow them on face book...it kind of like a polytechnic here in naija but they one of the best in Ontario. And the cost of living is quite good. The least accomodation u could find is 450CAD which is. Home stay. You can make your research on the internet as well. My school fees for a year is 13650CAD per year.

I so much like this thread.... Some people are here keeping silent and following this thread day and night just to keep their hope high and positive. But I personally respect everyone on this forum because everyone is like a guidian angel for one another. I was surprise seeing something different on this thread like people carrying issues that is meant to be settled privately to a public social media. U need to be careful applying to that kind of school because some school may give you admission and not recognized by the embassy...it's just like getting an admission into an unaccredited school in Nigeria... I believe a school that requires application fee is a serious school.. Opinion divided.

Babe see there is no crime in taking a bold step to make inquiry.. Sincerely I ave seen someone at the immigration office that has 6month left on his passport , he finished from a uni in Cyprus and wants to further in Canada. He explained to an officer why he wanted to renew and he filled some forms. We met at the immigration office the say day I applied for mine. Just go to the NIS and explain yourself. Pls don't be complacent about this the earlier you address this issue the better it serves you.

Cufs: I don't understand your 3rd sentence. Are you saying its possible for your visa to be denied if your passport isn't valid for 2 years, if your going for a 2 years course??e.g

My guy go and renew your passport and tell the immigration officer you see that you need it to apply for a Canadian visa for a 2yrs study..I can assure you that you will be given a new passport... Just make sure you give them a reason for the renewal before the expiry date on it. That's all.. Stay blessed

lol...my bad! I thought you will be able to surf a simple site by going to the contact us page to see for yourself, guess am *****. There are two high commissions of Canada in Nigeria, 1 in abuja and the other in lagos while the 1 in lagos is deputy high commission and is responsible for visa processing.

Thanks MrArams , don't mind me jare.. I just believe since we have an embassy here in Nigeria then what's d need for the submission of documents in Ghana... But I have read through the site and I can see the service they render which is rubbish to me.. I believe it's only the west African applicants that go through this process of submitting applications to Ghana via paper route. Once again thank you I actually learning from this forum though.
