House pls help me check. Am I good to go?? Do I need to add anything??

My piece for u bro . Your package of docs is awesome but if you are refused march, and u planing to reapply , now is too soon enough to show to the Vo a sign do desperation. Why don't you try and relax to figure out more loopholes before reapplying and meanwhile u could still find some useful information you might need to add on this forum....

My case as an example I was denied last year November and I was so eager to reapply after a month but when a guy that was refused before me requested for his file from the embassy, I got to understand that most of the time people got refused more than once because they never took time to understand the implication of re applying too soon after they had been refused. My friend was refused three times before this one that made us know each other. Same reason for the three refusal and I realised he has changed program for those three times.

Changing of program per application or institution per application could result to a refusal.... Your course or ur intend institution does not affect ur application negatively especially if u have choosen an accredited institution. All u need do is explain better how the program is relevant to your choosing career and how I would help you in developing ur country then back it up with necessary documents.Changing program and course per application would show you are not sure what you are going for in Canada.

are currently undergoing ur NYSC or wen did u finish. Also did u notarized any document u submitted.

@benet if u are currently working u have no problem. U just have to let ur employer write a study leave letter approval for u with a the company's letter head paper.then u include it in ur app. Shikena

Note ur employer must state u role in the company and how u are being payed.

Thanks for the advice, But one more thing that came to my mind, This peeps in question. They do thorough investigation in verifying documents. So if they get in contact with the company to verify if I've worked there and the company denies knowing me. Wouldn't that trigger a false documents in my application?

No problem if they investigate my broda . They will only contact that company and before getting those vital things from that company u will tell them what u want to use it for so that when the visa officer make any inquiry about u they will have something to say. Shikenah you have no probs bro.

Hello NLanders,
Greetings to the successful applicants and the ones that are yet to receive their TRV or submitted. I am a 27 years old aspiring study permit applicant, However, my last educational qualification is a Professional Java Programmer Professional course which ended March 31st. . I obtained my Waec result 2008, so since then I haven't attended any polytechnic or university in Nigeria till date. Only been working minor works, which I was not employed with my Waec certs or any other certs. However, I am applying as an undergraduate student with a college in BC, Canada and I have gotten my admission letter and My resumption date is September 8, Which Orientation which is compulsory is August 24. and paid my one year tuition fee. With the receipt and the help of my sponsor(My brother) working in the oil firm with an closing balance of 6m. I need to ask The chances of me applying since my last Educational level from 2008 till 2014 was not known.

P:S, I haven't gotten my latest edu. qualification certs. Which I will obtain before my sbmission. SO if anyone of you have an advice to render, It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Also, My brother has a farm business which he manages as other source of income added to the income of him working as an engineer. Do anybody have any credible advice he/she could render as I plan on submitting first week of May and need a proper advice and/or documents that I need to arrange and submit before I proceed.

U have no problem in getting TRV if u believe...just make sure u get an employment letter from ur brothers farm stating that since u finish ur waec u have been doing a volunteer work in his farm or u get an employment letter and pay slip from any company ur brother knows . The company can help u with an employment letter and pay-slip just for formality. I guess that will cover for all the loopholes .

*clears throat*. "In my own opinion" Pls observe the statement in quote. You don't have to agree -

Canada is like any other country such as the U.S. England, Spain, South Africa etc. The only reason they would issue a visa to you is because it benefits them in one way or another. Think of the tax they'll benefit from the payments you make on fees, accommodation and transport amongst other things and what it would do to their GDP. They don't care about you per say. Finances majorly is the key thing for these countries, nothing more. If you will abscond, abscond with money so you don't become a Menace and nuisance in your course of absconding. They really don't care if you do. In the long run, the longer U stay there, the better for them. you pay tax and your fees is three times more expensive as an international student, begs the question who's really gaining right? I feel the hometie and other reasons for denial comes as a result of not satisfying finances to the fullest. If they're not satisfied with your raw cash, they'll latch onto your liquid assets. Not because its a home tie but Cos if push comes shove, you'll have some more to spend in their country or go home. Them no dey tell person. So let's stop with the mentality that you need to own several hectares or what not. Show them you can afford to survive effortlessly and trust me the purpose of stay, length of study and all that grammar wouldn't be needed. You don't need to comment. Read, agree, disagree, hiss and move on.

Nice one but that's your own view of the process.......it may not be the case to a visa officer handling someone's application. Even if you have 300 million dollars to squander one still need to prove to the visa officer you are not a drug dealer trying to come to Canada to extend your drug business. Canada is very conscious of their country's reputation as one the peaceful and crime free country in the world. Nigeria is the only country I know that doesn't care about who emigrate into the country. I can't imagine how nigerian embassy screens emigrants in our embassies across the globe. MayGodHelpUs

@Fhemmmy
.. I noticed most canadian colleges don't have PGD but rather dey have wat dey call an advanced diploma.. If I applied for such a diploma can I safely apply to d canadian embassy with a diploma program.. I have a bsc in microbiology.. I. Know dat most embassies prefer to see student visa applications showing academic progression.. E.g u have a bsc and you are applyin to go do a masters programm. But a case were u have a bsc and u now applying to go do an advanced diploma, which I don't think is exactly a postgradute programe. What do you think.. Won't d CDHC frown at this kind off application?

That is a common thing in canada, there are many PHd holder that are back in school doing some diploma.
Canadian govt or the immigration department will not send you away cos you wanna do advance diploma, as long as they are able to prove that is what you wanna do, but they hate when they know for a fact that the applicant is only using that means to migrate to canada, they refer to that as back door, cos it is quicker than the regular permanent residence visa . . . .
So it all depends on how you are able to package your application.
Good luck

Every case is different and like hayqins said, "we just trying to better our chances".The good thing for you is that you have an idea on the area to work on.Your SOP has to be rock solid to convince the VO on why a diploma in early childhood care education is necessary.I don't know what you do in the state government but your volunteer work might have made you develop a passion for that particular area of work so, convince them.If you can get documents from the organization you volunteer for, it can be added to your SOP.
Employment situation: Did you include your letter of employment, payslips, statement of account showing where your salary goes into, your savings, sponsor SOA,etc. Also, properties or other type of investments you have or your sponsors? If you can do all this and support with prayer, i say you have a wonderful chance of getting your TRV.

Thank you very much bro. I submitted all documents in my previous app except leave letter and my personal statement of account. But now I am getting a resignation approval letter from my employer and also get my fixed deposit account statement that states 2million as well. But please sir how do you think one can convince Vo that diploma is what one is going for when one have something that is higher than that diploma and also could stand a chance of going for a PGD or advance diploma. I'm sorry I may sound so naive but I love to learn and u sound so clever enough to enlighten me. If you don't mind I can send u a private message.

Hayquins, again i will fault you on your research and misconception. The fact that people don't usually say their age in this thread is probably why you have no idea that people above 28 get TRV for UG. fyi, i am very well above 30, got my TRV for a diploma prog, not postgrad diploma.Like someone said earlier, they cannot be biased based on age, that is why you do not see them tick age when they deny people.
it's simple, convince the VO by satisfying all the requirements and you will get it.don't place roadblocks in people's path, always say,"in your opinion" on things you don't have in black or white. You always hammer on age,it is not written anywhere as a yardstick,so,its not a criterion for trv; it has absolutely nothing to do with anyone's application.
if i can get it at over 30, anyone can get it!

@akanni. I really love your clarification and I never knew someone above 28yrs old has gotten TRV with a diploma LOA... Please help me I am 28yrs , I graduated 2010, finished NYSC 2012 and since 2012 I've been working with the state government and also doing a volunteering job in my parent's NGO that focuses on child and youth care development. I have a degree in accounting Education and I also got admission into a diploma program in Early childhood care education. I was refused last year November due to employment situation and personal assets, travel history. Please I need to be very sure if I have a chance of getting TRV with my age and the level of program I am going for before I apply again next week because I have already try to get a resignation letter from my present employer because what I am doing there is not related to the program I'm going for. Pls mr akanni I need your piece of advice sir because u have experience. Thank u

@Mcjimmy, tick No. The u.s and canada does not share such information unless it's for security reasons. Speaking from experience[/

I agree with you 50% if it's Canada that denied u visa 10yrs ago then it's. 100% certain it will come up on their database that u have been denied visa before but I am not sure if Canada would try and verify if one has been denied visa before for another country. I still feel it could have an effect sha.

Two weeks at least depending on the number of application they are handling because there are some courses and programs that are highly competitive.

Is Seneca not expensive, i am actually waiting for an admission from centennial college.

Hey most of the time if one is being refused visa it's advisable to wait for like a year or eight month before reapplying because the Vo's would think u are so desperate to enter Canada. And when u are reapplying make sure u choose a course that is very very related to ur present Job or what you have in ur Bsc. Most times it's better to apply with the same program and course one used in the first application , given that you would explain why u are going for that course and how relevant and important it is to you. If you are above 25 I think advance diploma is the best program to go for like I was advised. You must either have a leave letter from your employer or you explain that the job you are doing presently is a temporary job and u are not a permanent staff in the organization. You need your SOA and also defend the closing balance by explaining the kind of business u do to get such amount in ur account. I guess changing school and program for each application is some how suspicious and also shows sign of being desperate to enter Canada if I were the Vo handling such app. I think you should just seat and think on how to develop your sop and make it detailed by putting somethings into consideration. I stand to be corrected

The sponsor is our uncle with different surname,we are not married and we are all from same parent but in our first applications the VO never tick that we don't have much fund the reason for delay is personal asset, travel history and purpose of visit and Lenght of propose stay. Any advise on this again pls I'm just curious need to know better pls

Ok if those are the reasons for ur delay then I guess you tackle it one by one on your questioneer and the letter of explanation.
1. Personal asset and financial status should be tackled by having enough money in your account to cater for yourself in Canada or ur sponsor should write that he is going to take care of your school fees and other expenses while studying in Canada.
2. Purpose of visit also should be stated in your LOE and the questioneer
3. The travel history is not any issue but should be stated also since your passport is attached with the other docs I think that should cover up for your travel history

That's my opinion and advise on that but gurus here can shed more light into the ish tooo

I think Canada do verify SOA and they check records from their system , it's only USA that doesn't verify most times because u will no ur fate as soon as u submit your docs... No harm in trying but it's better one of you guys use the statement of account first then after a year another can use it ... Then three of you traveling at the same time to one country might raise an eye brow. The VO might think you guys are trying to elope. There must be a strong and convincing basis to support the three of you's plan to travel

How is your Sponsor related to you three in the first place.
What's his profession and are you three of the same parent?
Is the 15m the only financial strength he's got?
Are you Guys married and are you planing to come back to Nigeria?
