President Jonathan tried, but he wasn't what Nigerians will altogether admire, because, much more was expected from him as an educated non-military oriented man. However, his administration was a thousand times better than what we have here today. PGEJ was kicked out in 2015 not because his administration was corrupt but because he consistently showed many attributes of a weakling or rather, unseriousness. If PGEJ were to be strong and serious: 1. APC wouldn't have stand as such a mega party. 2. PMB wouldn't have had the chance to even contest against him (I mean, GMB could have been overwhelmed with law suits, considering some of his post presidency alterances and their alleged effects on national security especially in the North). 3. Lagos would have been a PDP state (the price to achieve that dropped when Fashola and Tinubu got a little rough), and Tinubu a member of the PDP. 4. He surely would have got his 8 years or even third term would have been a sure bet. |
