Politics / Buhari’s Dismissal Of Restructuring A Threat To Nigeria – Dickson by Mcoutureankara(f): 5:47pm On Jul 13, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

…DICKSON says PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM A WASTE OF SCARCE NATIONAL RESOURCES

…SAYS RULE ON 13 PERCENT DERIVATION NOT IMPLEMENTED

The Governor of Bayelsa State, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, on Thursday faulted in strong terms the position of President Muhammadu Buhari on the intensified call for the restructuring of the country.

The Governor said that Buhari’s comment that those pushing for the restructuring of the country were motivated by selfish motives was indeed a threat inimical to the desired stability and prosperity of the country.

He wondered why the President would dismiss the general quest of the Nigerian citizenry to restructure the Nigerian Federation which would not withstand the test of time in its current lopsided nature.

He said, “When everybody in this country is talking about the need to restructure this country, our President, Muhammadu Buhari, made a statement that is not only wrong, but is also faulty. It cannot withstand the test of time and a threat to the continued stability and prosperity and development of our country, when he dismissed outrightly, the notion of restructuring.

“And he didn’t stop there, he went ahead to say that those who are in support of restructuring are doing so for parochial agenda. Mr. President, you are wrong. In fact the reverse is the case. The majority of Nigerians from the North, South, East, West and Middle Belt, who are making a case for restructuring are indeed the patriots of Nigeria.

“We want a Nigeria that works with equal citizenship. A Nigeria for the many as well as for the few; a Nigeria that we will be proud to call home any day, that we can proudly pledge allegiance to.”

The governor said that the time had come for a second look at the Nigerian system stressing that even the current Presidential system of Government was too expensive and indeed wasteful for the country.

He said that the current arrangement where the central government would take over all responsibilities such as the judiciary, the police and others to the exclusion of the state was an arrangement in need of change.

According to the governor, the Federal Government had not fared well even in its core responsibilities such as Defence and security as shown by the killings in the land.

“I don’t believe that a Presidential system is what this country needs; it is too expensive and wasteful. It easily lends itself to abuses and there are not enough checks. We cannot have a productive Nigeria the way it is structured, a Nigeria where the exclusive list is longer than the concurrent one. A Nigeria where the Federal Government is a Jack of all trade but a master of none.

“A Nigeria where the Federal Government dissipates itself in areas that it has no competence, no local knowledge to deliver productivity to the extent that it has abandoned its core areas of responsibility, and these core areas of responsibility are defense and national security.

“Is there anyone in this hall in doubt as to whether the Federal Government has stood up to its primary responsibility of protecting Nigerians? So that is a failure of responsibility.

Dickson also took a swipe at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation which he described as opaque.

He said that the rule of 13 percent derivation funds to the producing states was not being implemented in the country.

According to Governor Dickson , the oil producing states were being subjected to whatever handouts the NNPC could offer them at the end of the monthly meetings of the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee.

Dickson said that the way forward was restructuring if the citizens’ desire for security and stability was to be a reality.

Crime / I Informed My Pastor - Lady Arrested For Reselling 3 Stolen Siblings For N2.7m by Mcoutureankara(f): 11:43am On Jul 12, 2018
By DIAMONDZ BLOG

.
.
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested three suspected child traffickers who sold three sibblings at N2.7 million.
.
.
The suspects: Uchena Ezewenke, Nkiru Victoria and Augustine Anyanwu, sold their victims, Stephen Jude, 4; Monday Stephen, 2, and Faith Stephen, 10, to three different persons in Asaba, Delta State. .
.
The victims were reportedly abducted by one of their co-tenants at No 12 Ayeyemi Street, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State and sold at N900,000 each. .
.
One of the suspects, Nkiru, said she bought one of the children from Augustine at N600,000 and re-sold it to Uchena at N900,000. “I asked them to verify the source before selling the kid to me. .
.
I even consulted my pastor before transacting the business to know if it was a pure business,” she said. Another suspect, Ezewenke, said she decided to adopt the child because of barrenness, adding that she had been married for over 20 years without a child. .
.
The suspect, 45, said she perpetrated the act for her to be entitled to her husband’s wealth. She said: “I may lose out if I fail to give birth to a child for my husband because his relatives will drive me away. I did not know the child was stolen.” .
.
Patience Stephen, mother of the victims, said she left four of her children at home on that fateful day while going to the farm but met only one of them when she came back. .
.
She said: “The eldest of the children told me they went to night vigil with one of our co-tenants, Esther, who had just spent about six days in our house. .
.
We reported at the police station and for about four months, we had been looking for them until they found the three of them in different homes in Asaba where they sold them to.
.
.
They have even changed the names of my children to another name but I thank God for answering my prayers.”

Celebrities / Rapper Eve: I Didn’t Think I Would Ever Get Married by Mcoutureankara(f): 1:30pm On Jul 08, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Rapper Eve never thought she’d be a wife before she met her husband Maximillion Cooper.

The Who’s That Girl hitmaker started dating the British entrepreneur in 2010 and they wedded four years later, but now Eve explains that just before she met her man she had come to terms with the idea of never marrying.

she said on her U.S. chat show The Talk on Thursday (05Jul18).

“I kind of was like, ‘I guess I’m never going to get married’,”
“My mother even said to me once, ‘Well, not everyone is meant to get married’, and I was like, ‘OK cool, I guess I’ll just be dating for the rest of my life’.”
“I honestly was OK with it,” she added. “I was like, ‘It is what it is. It might not be for everyone. And then I met Max and I was like, ‘Oh, OK’.”

“I’ve never been in a relationship with a man in this way and I always say it’s my grown-up relationship,” she said in March (18). “We just love each other and support each other and I’ve never had that before, and I can’t wait to have a baby so I can feel that love.”

“I’m not romantic, but I’m gonna get better,” she said in December (17). “When we were first dating, one of our first big trips away, he took me to China, he took me to the Great Wall. The reason why he did that was because one morning, I woke up and said to him, ‘Oh my God, I just had the best dream, I was… on top of the Great Wall!’
“He was like, ‘OK…’ and a few months later, that was our trip. He took me away. He’s good.”

The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary June last month . Eve wrote this on her instagram page;

therealeve #happyanniversary baby!!! Can’t believe it’s been 4 years!! We’ve already been through a lifetime of adventures and can’t wait to go through a life time more!!!!

Celebrities / Even As A Professor, I Still Kneel Down To Greet My Husband – Professor Otinwa by Mcoutureankara(f): 8:47am On Jul 07, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Grace Otinwa a professor of Exercise Physiology and the immediate past Head of Department, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, has revealed that her status has stopped her from seeing her civil engineer husband as the head.
.
.
In a recent chat with Punchng, Mrs Otinwa said: “My husband and I have come a long way in our relationship, and I can tell you that he is a wonderful husband. Till date, I am still amazed at the way my husband professes his love for me. .
.
We still love ourselves like teenagers. We go out very often for dinner and lunch dates with or without our children. One thing I have discovered from the Bible is that as women, we need to submit to our husbands. .
.
When we started, it was not easy but I realised that he really loves me and that made our marriage easy. I do not find it difficult to go on my two knees to greet my husband even though I am a professor. .
.
It has nothing to do with being a professor but about my character as a person. He is really supportive, he is not jealous of my progress; rather he encourages me to do more so that I can reach higher height in my career. .
.
He also picks interest in domestic chores, so when I am busy, he is there to assist me. Since my profession involves travelling for some time, he understands that it is part of my job. .
.
Some of my friends call him HOP which means head or husband of professor, so they also call him professor. I give my husband the respect that he deserves. He believes in me and trusts with everything, including our finances. .
.

He reciprocates the respect I give him with deep understanding and career support. My husband is my head and I don’t deny it, I have been totally submissive to him. He has been a pillar of support when it was rough and when it was good.”

Crime / Nigerian Student Kills Herself In Her Hotel Room In UK by Mcoutureankara(f): 7:58am On Jul 07, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Omojola Ogundipe, a 20-year-old Bristol University student took her own life in a Cardiff hotel room, just days after a visit home for Mother’s Day.
.
.
Staff at the Citrus Hotel in Cardiff found her body hanging in her hotel room on March 14 this year after she missed her check-out deadline.
.
.
Omojola, described as “bright and bubbly”, was in the second year of her economics undergraduate degree at Bristol University, and was a leading member of the Gospel Choir Society.
.
.
A campaigner on environmental and human rights issues, she volunteered with several groups and was popular among her peers.
.
.
An inquest into her death heard her dad tell Pontypridd Coroner’s Court his daughter had visited home just three days before they heard the tragic news.
.
.
During the court hearing on July 5, her dad, Kurle Ogundipe, said in a statement: “I last saw Omojola on March 11 when she returned home for the weekend. She appeared her usual bubbly self.”
.
.
He said the family were not aware of any ill health and did not think she suffered from depression or mental health problems.
.
.
However, Miss Ogundipe’s close friend, Hannah Agbeyegbe, in a written statement read out to the court, said: “She was an independent person. Quite private. .
.
She didn’t really talk a lot about her personal life. It was around this time (when she moved to Bristol) that she disclosed to me that she was depressed and she had been having suicidal thoughts.”
.
.
Summing up, coroner Christopher Woolley accepted the cause of death given by consultant pathologist Dr David Thomas at the University Hospital of Wales as death by hanging.

Crime / Josephine Iyamu Jailed For 14 Years In UK For Voodoo Sex Trafficking by Mcoutureankara(f): 10:18pm On Jul 04, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

A Nigerian nurse has been jailed for 14 years in the U.K, after she used voodoo threats to traffick five Nigerian women to Germany to work as prostitutes.
.
.
In a landmark case, Josephine Iyamu, 51, become the first person to be jailed under new modern slavery laws despite her victims having never set foot in the UK.

Judge Richard Bond labelled her “a predator”. He said: “You saw your victims not as living breathing human beings but as a commodity to earn you money.
.
.
You preyed on these five young women and all have been left physically and psychologically scarred by the voodoo rituals they endured. The effect of those ceremonies was to effectively put them under lock and key.”
.Earlier during the 10-week trial, the jury heard how Iyamu, who was known to her victims as Madame Sandra, had met her victims in Benin, Edo State.
.
.
She forced the women to swear oaths before a voodoo priest during a week-long series of humiliating so-called juju ceremonies during which they promised to pay her up to €37,000 for arranging their travel to Europe.
.
.
As well as being found guilty of five offences under the Modern Slavery Act, Iyamu was convicted of perverting the course of justice while on remand, by arranging for relatives of the complainants in Nigeria to be arrested.
.
.
Defence counsel John Benson QC told the court Iyamu had lost everything as a result of her conviction, including her hope of pursuing a political career in Nigeria.

Culture / Ebenezer Tunde Omobobami Begs Police To Stop Him From Being Ogun Chief Priest by Mcoutureankara(f): 10:09am On Jul 03, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

One Barrister Ebenezer Tunde Omobobami, has raised the alarm over threats to his life by Ogun worshippers in his native home of Ile-Oluji, Ondo State. .
.
TheNation reports that he accused the Ogun worshippers of attempting to force him to succeed his late father as Ogun Chief Priest in Odolua Quarters of the community. .
.
In a petition to the police in Ondo State, Omobobami said following the death of his father, Chief Ogundayo Omobobami, who was the Chief Priest, some years ago, the Ogun adherents had insisted that the successor must be one of his children. .
.
In a petition on his behalf by his counsel, Mr. Michael Akamo, Omobobami said worshipping Ogun ran contrary to his Christian faith but that the adherents of the Ogun cult would have none of that. “Our client’s elder brothers and their immediate family members were initiated into the Ogun cult before they were able to escape to abroad. Due to the absence of the said elder brothers, it now beckons on our client to be the next Ogun priest.

Contrary to their expectation, our clients and his family members no longer worship Ogun; they are now Christians and the tenets of Christianity does not allow him to worship the true God with mammon,” Omobobami’s counsel complained to the police. .
.
Besides, the lawyer said he is now facing serious threats from the worshippers who trailed him to his Lagos home where they sent hoodlums to threaten his life, following which he had to move to another place with his family, which is more of a hideout and a disservice to his profession as a lawyer. .

Omobobami urged the police to come to his aide, noting that another Ogun festival would hold next month in the community and he would be expected to lead the adherents as chief priest.

Crime / Nigerian pastor Writes Open Letter To Bishop David Oyedepo on recent killings by Mcoutureankara(f): 4:43pm On Jul 02, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

A Facebook user shared this on her page;

AN OPEN LETTER TO BISHOP DAVID Oyedepo.
From a Concerned Christian.

Dear Bishop Oyedepo,

Good morning Daddy and how’s everyone in your household.

Sir, countless times, you cursed Boko Haram’s leader, 10 years later, Boko Haram is still active and their leader is even healthier than most tithe payers.

This morning, we saw a post saying that you cursed the Fulani Herdsmen declaring death upon them. Sir, that’s commendable. At least, you didn’t keep quite like the rest of the papas. Your boldness is commendable sir.
But daddy, that curse will not work oh .
It is not in the character of our Father in heaven to kill even the worst criminals.

Paul, who was formerly Saul, was a leader of a Jewish ‘Fulani herdsmen’ movement.
He killed several believers and even supervised the stoning of Brother Steven… But see what God did with his life…. God used him to reveal the Finished Work of Christ beyond his generation. That’s our prayer for every killer. That the hand of God shall arrest them and convert them to messengers of love and not death.

Thanks to Steven for not cursing Saul. God does not desire the death of any sinner. Ezekiel 18:32, 33:11. Daddy, this is the absolute truth. Besides this, there’s no truth.
God does not Take pleasure in killing killers else all the members of winners chapel who are guilty of abortion would have been killed and cursed by God. Killing is killing sir. Blood is blood. Yet Grace is available for every sinner.

And about why your former curses on Boko Haram didn’t work, Daddy, let’s see the first man whom God Himself cursed – Cain. Daddy Oyedepo, Cain killed his own brother oh. God cursed him. Daddy, a man who was cursed by God ended up building a city and leaving a city wide legacy for his son Enoch. Daddy, this is recorded in Genesis 4:17.

Daddy, your followers believe that once you have cursed anyone, their end has come. . Your followers are more afraid of your curse than they are aware of the Father’s Love .
Daddy, you are not God oh. Even God himself cursed but His curse came with protection over the man He cursed. The Bible said that after God cursed Cain, He lovingly placed a mark of protection over Him so that no man will hurt Him. Daddy Bishop, can’t you see that God is helplessly in love with all men. He wouldn’t even hurt the worst of us. Chai. Daddy, of a truth, God is Love. Please sir, for once leave this cursing thing and preach the Father’s Love to your multitude.

Papa, as an ex WOFBI student, I cannot deny that your ministry has touched me and I also hope that this humble message will also touch you, because it is the will of Jesus that we learn from one another – despite age nor class.
By the way my lord bishop, I want to take this opportunity to tell you what you may do at a time like this instead of cursing humans who only need the gospel of Jesus.
Daddy, you are politically connected and economically empowered… Sir, please pick up your phone and call Pa E.A Adeboye, our overall daddy and ask him to call Pastor Osibanjo to discuss why the leaders of Allah Miyeti haven’t been arrested after they allegedly claimed responsibility for the massacre. Just put pressure on daddy G. O and even threaten to withdraw your massive tithes if they fail to arrest the people you are cursing.

My lord bishop, you have the power to pull the strings. There are powerful politicians who submit under your ministry sir. Please call them and instruct them to use their offices to put a stop to this Fulani herdsmen menace. Daddy, a few phone calls from you and Daddy GO can solve 40% Nigeria’s problems. Men in your level should not act helpless and curse… You are a powerful brand sir. Act sir, don’t just curse.
Personally, I will be reaching out to my mentor, Dr. Sunday Adelaja so he can weigh in at a time like this. He is closer to Buhari than you, and I trust that my mentor will press the right buttons by adding his voice too.

I want to close this open letter by urging Christian leaders in Nigeria to stop responding to massacres with unnecessary curses and empty declarations of evil upon the perpetrators.

Didn’t the Bible ask us not to repay evil with evil? Didn’t Jesus say that the difference between us and them is the love we spread? Are we not blurring the lines between true Christianity and ancient Judaism when we angrily respond to national insecurity with curses? Who are we to curse whom Christ died for? Didn’t Christ die for even the killers? Am I supporting the killers? I am a victim myself and my story has been told on this platform. Yet I choose to be a true believer in Christ even at a time like this.
I choose to use other avenues to contribute to solving this national wahala. I will use my skills and my platforms. I will use my connections and my data. But I won’t use curses. I wont use evil to pay back evil. We are people of love, not sons of thunder .

I love you my bishop. You are a blessing, not a ‘cursing’ .Maranatha.

Crime / Niger Delta Militants Give FG 21 Days Notice To End Killings by Mcoutureankara(f): 8:48am On Jul 02, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

The militants warned the Federal Government that there’ll be doom if it failed to forestall anarchy and further bloodshed.

The militants, met at Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State during the weekend,

A statement by leader of the coalition, W.O I Izonebi, read,

“As agitators with conscience, we take lives of fellow Nigerians sacrosanct as no amount of provocation will lead to the slaughtering of innocent Nigerians because of cows.

“We, therefore, declare 21 days of mourning for the innocent Nigerians killed in Plateau State by foreigners trained by late Gaddafi that are now masquerading as herdsmen, according to our President, Muhammadu Buhari.

“We urge the government to do the needful before the expiration of our 21 days of mourning to avoid a total breakdown of law and order because it seems we do not have law, and government is unable to implement its primary responsibility of protecting lives and properties of its citizens.

“We demand implementation of the following to avoid doom and more loss of lives: The immediate devolution of power to states and regions to enable governors discharge their primary responsibility of protecting lives and properties and declaration and proscription of the Gaddafi mercenaries masquerading as herdsmen as a terrorist organisation.

“The government and security agencies saddled with the responsibility of protecting Nigeria and its territorial integrity should apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime against innocent Nigerians and humanity; total overhaul of the security organisation and security chiefs, immediate arrest of the Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association leaders and its disbandment with immediate effect.

“We also condemn the inability of the government and securityagencies to protect its citizens from foreigners masquerading asherdsmen committing genocide in the Middle Belt of our dear nation, Nigeria.
“We are not going to fold our arms to see foreigners masquerading as herdsmen slaughter and kill hardworking Nigerians that are going about their legitimate businesses and livelihood anymore, when we have a democratically elected government in place.

“We are bold to ask these questions? What is the primary responsibility of government? Why is nobody being arrested and prosecuted for these killings? As agitators with conscience, we take lives of follow Nigerians sacrosanct as no amount of provocation will lead to the slaughtering of innocent Nigerians because of cows.

“We, therefore, warn that after this 21 days of mourning is over and nothing is done, we, the good people of the Niger Delta, and coalition of agitators will have no choice than to declare herdsmen and Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association enemies of the Niger Delta and Nigerians in general.

“Therefore, we do not wish to see them in any of the Niger Delta states because the pollution and degradation of our farmlands and the polluted waters and rivers are enough provocation, let alone seeing our mothers and sisters in a life threatening situation and being killed by cattle breeders, while the Miyeti Allah is applauding them because they value the lives of cows more than human lives.

“Enough of this carnage going on, we should use this 21 days of mourning to reflect and ask the question, if we are truly a nation where the life of a cow is more valuable than human life.”

Sports / Fifa Strips Maradona Off Ambassadorial Role by Mcoutureankara(f): 1:23am On Jul 01, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Football legend Maradona has been removed as ambassador for FIFA and will no longer be paid over his poor conduct during the Argentina and Nigeria match.

Maradona had celebrated Argentine’s second goal by raising his middle finger at fans who were trolling him when the score was at 1-1 draw.

FIFA had considered his behaviour embarrasing and hence will no longer be entitled to the fee he do receives from the world soccer governing body for bringing the spotlight to any world cup match he witnessed live.

He has also been urged to be of good behaviour in the remaining games he’s going to watch at the world cup if he is to avoid a possible stadium ban.

Celebrities / Prayers Are Not Enough,we Need Pro-active Governance-leo Tells Buhari by Mcoutureankara(f): 12:34pm On Jun 29, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Big brother housemate , Leo penned down a message on his instagram page to Buhari and Lagos State Governor after the tragic Lagos tanker explosion that happened yesterday.

sirleobdasilva Lagos my home town, I’m heart broken. It’s quite unfortunate that after the incident at Ojuelegba, this happened. We are dying because of unenforced laws. All I can see everywhere today is a call for prayers.

Prayers for Plateau, prayers for Lagos etc but unfortunately, prayers are not enough. We need pro-active governance. I don’t know what we as the people intend on doing about all the carnage but a dialogue has to be started with the government. Nigeria belongs to us all and we can’t fold our arms and wait for disasters to directly affect us before we cry out.

Our fellow Nigerians were affected by this and we owe it to them that this never occurs. Let us start the dialogue @muhammadubuhari @akinwunmiambode
May the souls of the departed rest in peace. You didn’t deserve to go this way. My condolences to the families of the affected. We must pray and back our prayers with deliberate actions.

Religion / There May Be No Nigeria Or General Elections In 2019- Adeboye by Mcoutureankara(f): 10:05am On Jun 29, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye has warned that there might be no Nigeria in 2019, not to talk about a general election.

He said in the last Holy Ghost service held in May;

“We need to pray because unless these killings stop immediately even Nigeria may not live. We are not talking about individuals we are talking about Nigeria itself.

“A bishop asked me sometimes ago what God has revealed to me about 2019 election.

“I told him I am not sure there would be an election because unless these killings stop, there may be no election next year, I’m not prophesying but this is so because no one will go out to vote if not sure they will return home safely.

“I have seen war at a close range, there is nothing good about it. A nation may survive a civil war but no nation can survive a religious war and remain the same.

“That Nigeria may live and not experience religious war these killings must stop".

Celebrities / “my Father’s Day Post Was Not Directed At Anyone- Emeka Ike by Mcoutureankara(f): 3:15pm On Jun 21, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has taken to his IG page to debunk the news carried by popular Nigerian blogs that his father’s day post was to slam his ex-wife.

This is what Emeka Ike wrote;

emekaikeofficial OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON MY FATHER’S DAY POST
Dear Fans and beloved Nigerians,
The greatest liberty of human race, for me, is the freedom of expression and press, which has evolved in diverse form and shape, especially with the emergence of the IT age. I am happy to be part of this technological age and I’m equally an advocate of freedom of expression.

It is however elementary that the law does not permit people to violate others’ rights while expressing their own rights. Our rights end where others’ rights begin, and vice versa.
You will recall I made a post on Father’s Day. That message was neither directed nor intended to be directed to anyone. It was simply an encouragement and a charge to all men on the fact that “we need to be responsible to our kids”. How that turned a shade on INSTABLOG9ja and .com remains a shocking and scary mystery to me and most of my fans.
Indeed, quite a number of you my fans expressed your bitterness at some of the uncharitable remarks the interpretation given to my post had generated. I appreciate you all who have selflessly risen to my defence.
I believe that most Nigerians are law abiding citizens. Therefore, I urge us all to shun social media banters. I am aware of the existence of a new social media rules and I hope for stronger legislative measures to help the nation sanitise our cyberspace of cyber crimes and cyber wrongs, while not eroding the hallowed concept of freedom of speech.

Let us patiently resort to and exhaust lawful avenues to redress the social menace of destructive or malicious stories made or sponsored against our persons. And as we do that, I urge you my fans to continue to be the law abiding citizens that you are.
As we all know, Justice is no respecter of persons, it is far reaching and must always take it course.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
God bless you all!!

Celebrities / Linda Ikeji Complains About Nigerians Not Subscribing To Her Tv Channel by Mcoutureankara(f): 7:26pm On Jun 19, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Nigerian most famous and successful blogger, Linda Ikeji launched her online TV channel on the 8th of June 2018. Ever since then, there has been constant daily downloading of her TV app on playstore.

However, the media mogul has taken to her instagram page to write about how most of her TV subscribers are Nigerians living abroad, subtly complaining about Nigerians in Nigeria not yet subscribing to her TV channel which she believes is the high cost of Data subscription in Nigeria.

Linda Ikeji wrote on her IG page:

officiallindaikeji Let me explain this quote. When I began blogging in 2006, 80% of my readers were Nigerians in the diaspora. Then by 2010 Nigerians who live in Nigeria gradually started visiting my blog. By the end of 2011, there were more Nigerians who live in Nigeria on my site than Nigerians in the diaspora. And you see, the number of content consumers in Nigeria is 100 times higher than Nigerians who live abroad. And so after that huge arrival on my site, I started smiling crazily to the bank. . Like, I was making so much money from advertising, I thought I was being set up…lol.

So now with LITV, there are currently more paid subscribers by Nigerians in the diaspora than the ones who live in Nigeria. Which is fine and I’m so grateful to the guys in diaspora for supporting LITV. Online TV is not new to them and data, unlike Nigeria, is cheap and fast. But one day, one day, you Nigerians in Nigeria will be ready for online TV. One day data will be very fast and affordable. One day, you will understand why online TV is more desirable now than regular TV and when that day comes, lindaikeji.tv will be waiting to welcome you all with open arms…lol.

The key is to prepare for the future. I’m prepared and I’m waiting!

Celebrities / “you Are A Perfect Father To Our Children”- Nadia Buari Tells Husband by Mcoutureankara(f): 6:03pm On Jun 17, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari just wrote a lovely message to her husband today, Fathers day.

Read her write-up;

iamnadiabuari My dearest… Here comes one of those moments when I find myself reminiscing about the richest and most congenial memories of the past decade of our relationship.

Along this journey came the season of February 2015 when we welcomed our gorgeous set of twin girls.
Then, In February 2017 we were blessed with another beautiful girl.

And then, In January 2018, we were blessed again with our adorable munchkin who made the Grand Entry into this world.
Honey, from the moment I saw your merry eyes – you have always had an air of geniality which you’ve never lost.

This special day affords me the opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation for the remarkable man you are, the amazing guide you represent, the selflessness you exhibit beyond measure, and the perfect father you are to our children.

I want you to know that, as I love and appreciate you, so I esteem every moment of our journey for the past 10 years.
My prayer to God today is that He blesses us with many, many more of these decades and continue to keep us worthy. Happy Father’s Day baby!

With all my love,

Nadia!

Celebrities / “i Am Sorry” Actress Nkechi Apologises To Juliet Ibrahim by Mcoutureankara(f): 5:35pm On Jun 15, 2018
BY DIAMONDZ BLOG

Nollywood actress , Nkechi blessing Sunday just wrote an apology to Juliet ibrahim on her IG page.
Read her apology:

nkechiblessingsunday Dear Juliet Ibrahim my name is Nkechi Blessing sunday. I write this to address what really went wrong yesterday,Yesterday I was very emotional and i allowed my emotions get the best part of me and I said alot of hurtful things to a fellow woman which i am not proud of so I am here to say I am SORRY to Juliet Ibrahim. Even though she said alot to me herself but that does not matter what matters is I like to let go of my hurt and make peace .

I am a woman and well brought up and I should not have let my emotions get the best part of me. I am not afraid of criticism, please i love to learn and i love to be taught by people who have been there before me. But the comment came off wrongly. I felt like i was been talked down on my talent and abilities, and yesterday was not the best day for me as i was dealing with alot myself so all this added to me blowing off but this is not me making excuses but me making peace and correcting whatever wrong impression about me yesterday must have created in the minds of people. Once again i am sorry to everyone who I have disappointed by my actions.

This are people that love and have great respect and expectations for me but I let them down. I should have acted differently. Also to juliet Ibrahim I am sorry and I Open my arms for love and peace I hope you will kindly embrace it. We are all women we should love and support each other not fight each other. Thank you all and have a blessed holiday…Cc @julietibrahim
