Nigerian singer, Cynthia Morgan who was once the "rave of the moment" in the music industry, suddenly disappeared from the scene completely. There were rumours of the singer being involved in drugs and also having financial issues such as difficulties in paying her house rent.



During an interview session with broadcaster Sydney Shocker, the singer revealed the reasons for her sudden disappearance.



According to Cynthia Morgan, she has been terribly sick and had several family issues.



Cynthia who was under Northside Entertainment Record label, formerly managed by Jude Okoye , elder brother to defunct group members "Psquare", is set to make her way back to the top of the music industry again.

THE DAY I CAN NEVER FORGET!!

Was just thinking back, and I remembered this day, 20th of Sept, 2018..
I can still recall every single moment of it.

At 22 with little or no money, loosing a 3years worth of sweat, hard work, hustle and worth millions of naira just destroyed b4 my very eyes.

The worst was that, i had just upgraded my studio at the time, and invested all I had.. made my family and myself proud, just to loose it to fire. And on top of that I had to rebuild the Celine of the other shops affected aswell.

I remember I got a chat from a neighbor, then I got a call. I drove back immediately and there it was, everyone was starring at me and they kept saying DON’T CRY!
They didn’t know how to hold me cz I was just standing there and starring.

But I was grateful that my big bro @mrzazzy_ wasn’t burnt cz he walked into the fire and tried to rescue my things, knowing how much they meant to me.

I went home, shed a few tears in my room, even tho I had no money, I just believed that some kind of miracle would happen and I’ll get even better equipments.
I remember making a long list of things to buy, with ridiculous prizes compared to my acc balance lol, my bro will look at me like I’ve lost my mind and being unrealistic.

But Guess what, literally after 5 days I finally got a call over this property I was trying to sell as an agent since, it went through about 2vweeks later.. and I even got better equipments for my studio and I dived into radio.

I had to attach a picture of my studio after I rebuilt everything, to share this story..

MO Media had an exclusive interview with the SSG of Bayelsa State and PDP Governorship candidate, Mr. Kemela Okara. In this interview, he explained his vision and major plans for Bayelsa State if elected as governor.







Why do you want to be the Governor of Bayelsa State?

Having served twice as Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Investment, and until recently as Secretary to the State Government, I have an understanding of what we need to do to provide jobs and promote entrepreneurship. This is the next major frontier for Bayelsa State. Putting money in the hands of the ordinary hardworking Bayelsan.





Bayelsa state has been mostly referred to by others (other states) as a “civil service state”, how do you intend to change this narrative? What measures would you put in place to create employment opportunities for people living here, aside the civil service?





There are 4 keys areas I will focus on to create jobs and grow the private sector. Attracting industries that depend on gas and to a lesser extent oil. Agriculture (palm production, cassava and fishing) and the value chain derivable from them. Power generation and finally micro, small and medium scale businesses.



A lot of youths have great business ideas but lack adequate funding. How would you utilize your office to help these youths achieve their dreams?



As Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Investment I managed a N2b facility at 9% lending rate targeted at Micro, Small and Medium Scale Businesses (MSME) in Bayelsa State. This facility was facilitated and guaranteed by the State Government but managed by micro finance banks and was able to provide loans to over 3,000 businesses. We will continue doing this. In addition, we will provide enterprise training and business clinics to teach business skills on a regular basis.



Mosttimes opportunities like this are gotten only by the “priviledged few” or mismanaged, how would you ensure the man or woman who doesn’t have connection to any government official can easily access this?



We followed strict guidelines laid down by the Central Bank from whom we borrowed the funds. This required that the loans be disbursed through a micro Finance bank which set out the criteria for accessing the loans. I would ensure this process is repeated.



How would you improve security in the state? Also, how do you intend to curtail cultist/robbery activities in the state?



The immediate task especially in Yenagoa is to ensure street lighting at least on major roads, in addition to providing streetlights, is to increase resources such as patrol vans across the city. Most importantly jobs are the key to curtailing cultism and crime.

Adequate Power supply is a great asset in a state. It can have tremendous effect on businesses and homes. How would you improve on this?

Bayelsa State falls under the distribution province of Port Harcourt Distribution Company (PHDC). Our policy therefore will be to work closely with PHDC to improve power supply in Bayelsa State. For businesses we will set up an industrial park to which uninterrupted power supply will be made utilizing gas from Shell or Agip.



During the tenure of the first governor of Bayelsa State……there were lots of scholarship opportunities and bursaries. What are your plans for providing easy access and better education for bayelsans?





The current funding model is the student loan scheme which has been set up already. This is more sustainable in the long term. The scholarship scheme as good as it is has been difficult to sustain because State Government income can be unpredictable. The Restoration Government also provided scholarships but had to stop when the economy had a recession in 2016.



What are your infrastructural plans for the state? Aside improving on the recently constructed airport, what major infrastructure (s) would you develop if elected as governor?



Continuing with the plans to ensure we reach the atlantic on 3 fronts. Brass, Koluama and Agge. In addition I will focus on rural infrastructure: more roads linking rural communities especially to help farmers bring out their produce to markets and earn more for their farm produce.



What is your vision for Bayelsa State?



My vision is to make Bayelsa State a model of an African economic success. This is anchored on qualitatively improving the opportunities for all to have a fair chance to succeed in life.


Profile of Kemela Okara



Kemela OKara hails from Bomoundi in Bayelsa State. He attended the Township School, Port Harcourt Primary School and later Federal Government College, Enugu and Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Port Harcourt for his secondary school education.



Thereafter, he proceeded to the United Kingdom for his “A” Levels after spending a year as a prelim student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He graduated with Honours in Law from the University of Middlesex, London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn and later as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.





He has practiced law, for over 20 years, set up the first bank to bank to bank money transfer service in the United Kingdom and does a huge amount of voluntary work in the not for profit sector.



As Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Investment from 2014- 2016, Mr. Okara set out a clear vision to make Bayelsa State the model of an African economic success story.





In collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), a State Industrial policy was articulated early 2016 to leverage on Bayelsa State’s comparative advantage in Oil and Gas Industrial activity; Power generation, Agriculture and Light Manufacturing. Mr. Okara has also overseen the hosting of the State’s premier investment promotion platform, the Bayelsa State Investment and Economic Forum (BSIEF) in 2014 and 2015.





He has since set up the Kemela Okara Foundation with offices in Yenagoa to provide vocational and entrepreneurial training for young men and women in the Niger Delta region.





He is happily married to Chineze and they have 3 children.

Last week, there was a Bbnaija video which trended online showing two housemates in the current reality show engaging in sexual activity.

Since then, there have been rumours that it was Esther and Frodd who were engaged in the act, while others were of the opinion that it was Khafi and her lover in the house Gedoni.

Dickson is on the verge of breaking a jinx of longevity in office by becoming the first elected governor of Bayelsa to have completed two full terms, which in some ways created a stable environment for the enunciation of policies and programmes, and seeing to their diligent implementation.

By disrupting the high turnover of Administrators/Governors, there has been signaling to investors, contractors, and sundry stakeholders of stability, certainty and sanctity of contracts which has often been a challenge in Nigeria’s public sector contracting.



Carved out of the old Rivers State, Bayelsa had three Military Administrators from its birth in 1996 until the advent of democracy in 1999. And no one elected governor, before Dickson, had been able to complete two maximum terms of four years each.

Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha governed from May 1999 and was in his second term when he was dramatically impeached in December 2005, on the apparent instigation of the Federal Government. Alamieyeseigha was succeeded by Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, who governed from December 2005 until May 2007. Under a cloud of legal turbulence, Timipre Sylva served as governor from May 2007 to January 2012, when he was sacked by the courts. Even before his judicial ouster, Sylva vacated his seat and Bayelsa had an Acting Governor for a brief spell.

What has Seriake Dickson done with his two terms? The answer is that he has been both phenomenal and transformational. And six broad themes of evaluation bear eloquent testimony to my assessment of Dickson’s legacy. The themes, interlinked and mutually reinforcing, are philosophy and style of governance, prudent resource management with a high tenor of accountability, infrastructure, human capital development, inter-governmental relations, and the deepening of Izon cultural heritage.

Dickson’s flagship infrastructural project is, without question, the Bayelsa International Airport, from conception to finish. But what is no less important is that his administration began the rapid and conscientious implementation of the Yenagoa City Master Plan, which had earlier been finalised in 2007. The implementation of the Master Plan gave rise to massive construction activities in Greater Yenagoa—bridges, flyovers, dualization of roads, erosion control measures, health facilities, new housing schemes, more spacious structures for government ministries, departments and agencies.

Among several sectors of attention, Dickson’s passion has been evident in striving to alter for good the narrative of Bayelsa’s human capital. Through a fine mix of determination, policy, infrastructure, and meaningful resource allocation, the administration scores high in the human capital development arena.



The impact of his multi-pronged interventions has been felt—and will linger—in basic, secondary, and tertiary education. The first signal that he meant serious business was to declare a state of emergency in the education sector. Primary and secondary education is free along with textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, and other stationery.

First, in tackling accommodation shortages, the Dickson administration rehabilitated 400 primary and secondary schools throughout the state, constructed additional facilities complete with staff quarters and administrative blocks. The government introduced compulsory boarding in all three senatorial districts. A Sports Academy was set up at Asoama, while another Football Academy was established at Angalabiri. At the tertiary level, Dickson’s signature is writ large. He established the following: Medical University, Yenagoa......

Phillip Otele, the 20 year old footballer  in Kauno Žalgiris football club, Lithuania is a pride to his state, Bayelsa in Nigeria.




On June 4th, the footballer wore a “Žalgiris B” team’s T-shirt in League II league matches with Kazlų Rūda’s Šilo team and scored a goal.

20 year old Bayelsan, Phillip Otele shines in Lithuania football club

After the start of the team break and the short stop of the A league championship, Kauno Žalgiris club added a newcomer.

Philip Otele, a 20-year-old striker from Bayelsa state in Nigeria, became the leader.
Phillip Otele is a former football player in #England, although he will train with the main team of Kauno Žalgiris, he will play in Kaunas Žalgiris B team and will compete in the LFF II league championships, which have already made their debut.



On June 4th, the footballer wore a “Žalgiris B” team’s T-shirt in League II league matches with Kazlų Rūda’s Šilo team and scored a goal in them.
At the end of the first half, Phillip Otele, who played in the start, brought the Kaunas to the front, but the match ended in 1: 1. Team Newbie played until the 57th minute of the match and was later changed.

In the team, the footballer will wear a T-shirt marked with number 16 and will try to get into the main team.

In the LFF II League Southern Zone, Kauno Žalgiris B team has 10 points after four matches and takes fourth place.

Beautiful nollywood actress, Ngozi Ezeonu celebrates her birthday today.

Ngozi Ezeonu is a Nigerian actress, model, television personality, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She began her work career as a journalist before joining the Nollywood movie industry in 1993. She featured in the movie “Nneka the Pretty Serpent”.


The actress is happily married with four children, two daughters and two sons. Her daughter Ogechukwu, was born on September 5 studied at the Houdegbe North American University and now works as a designer and Front-End developer. Her son by the name Chidera was born on April 30, and he attended DELSU. Her other son is called Melveen, born on October 17 and attends Madonna University.

Man cries out as his estranged wife marries his best man without divorcing him

A 39-year-old man identified as Shola Motunbi, has accused his estranged wife, Marian, of betraying their marriage by getting married to a man who he said best him on their wedding day. .

In an interview with Vanguardngr, Shola said: “I married Marian Ekiomado on August 6, 2016, both traditional and the white wedding took place that day, we also had marriage registry. .

However, a few months into our wedding, I caught her with different text messages on her phone and discovered her Facebook account with her boyfriends.

Whenever I leave the house, she always removes our wedding frames and invites her boyfriend in, meanwhile she has a little girl called Treasure, that was her first daughter outside wedlock. .

Whenever I come home, the daughter tells me that her mummy removes the frame from the house and one brother comes. One day, she almost killed her daughter for exposing her, if not that I was around. .

After all the arguments, the parent begged, and so I let go until again, I caught her chatting with a man she was having an amorous affair with on Facebook. .

But what got me suspicious was that after she was 3 to 4 months pregnant, having terminated 2 previous pregnancies in the name of stress, she called her younger brother to fight and injure me in the house.
