Big brother naija 2018 first runner up, Cee-c Cynthia Nwadiora was at the university of Lagos, Nigeria yesterday with nollywood actress and presenter, Belinda Effah for a women empowerment program.


At the event, Cee-c spoke about the need for people to learn self development which will enable them succeed financially and also be able to influence people positively.

Cee-c boldly said if she was made the president of Nigeria, she will incorporate “self development” as a course to be learnt in the university, as normal academic books do not guarantee success.

Thief breaks his skull, dies while fleeing, his PVC retrieved .

A suspected thief identified as Daniel Ekwerekwu, an indigene of Aguleri, Anambra state, has died after breaking his skull during a fall while trying to escape arrest, this morning, in Lagos
.
.
He had gone to Okungade street, Mende-Maryland, Ikeja, to vandalize a car and steal its parts. However, at about 6:04a.m, one of the owners of the cars being vandalised woke up to prepare for church service only to see Ekwerekwu vandalizing his car. .
.
He raised alarm which attracted a police patrol team as well as neighbours. They chased after the suspect, who ran into a building. He tried to scale the fence but unfortunately for him, his hands slipped off the wall and he landed on a cemented floor, breaking his skull as a result.

.
When the police searched his trousers pocket, they recovered a voter's card bearing his name and picture. He was taken to Mainland Hospital, Yaba where he was confirmed dead. The body was thereafter deposited at the hospital's morgue.

Popular blogger and influencer, Tosin Ajibade also known as Olorisupergal, in a recent chat with Saturday Beats said that she is a living testimony to the fact that some men are uncomfortable around successful women.

The author of ‘From Misfit to Hero,’ told Saturday Beats that even when she had to lower her standard for love, the relationship did not work out.

“When a young lady is successful, it sometimes frightens men. I have had some experiences. There are several times men have told me that they cannot date me because I am richer than them. In one of my experiences with a man, I had to lower my standard to the point that I always had to drive down from Victoria Island to Isolo and back just to be with him. At a point, I even left my car in his house for his use and was hopping in taxis just to show that I was committed to the relationship. At the end of the day, it did not change anything. “Currently, I am not in a relationship but if I have to be in one, I would like to be with a man that is very supportive; a person that can help me lift some burdens off my shoulder. I do not know it all but I am learning from my mistakes,” she said.

Engaged pastor raped and murdered in Cross River .

An Assistant Pastor with Assemblies Of God Church, Obudu road, Ikom, Cross Rivers State, Pastor Esther Neji, has been murdered after allegedly being raped, PUO reports.

It was gathered that Neji was overpowered, raped to death on Sunday night and the Police are now carrying out investigation to unravel those behind the act.

In an interview with PUO, Rev Solomon Ajuk, a cleric from her church, said: “We only discovered that since Sunday, we’ve not seen her.

On getting to her House we perceived an offensive odour with her door still locked. We contacted the police who came and we forced the door open, only to see her lying between the parlor and her room with a pool of blood on her bed.

.
Her forehead had a wound where she was hit. A wrapper was on her neck, her pant was carelessly thrown suggesting that she was rapped and killed. That’s the police preliminary investigation.” .

He added that her house was scattered, suggesting there was a struggle before she was over powered,raped and killed.

Confirming the development, the Divisional Police Officer of Ikom Police Station, Aluyi Abdulazez, said a team of medical doctors who carried out autopsy on her, confirmed that she was raped.

32-year-old Ngbeken Elvis, a pastor at Christ Chosen Church of God, has been arrested for the death of a 38-year-old mother of four, Mama Sarah, who died while procuring abortion for the pregnancy she had for him in Edo State
.

A report by TheNation, revealed that the duo have been in a secret relationship for over six months. The deceased husband resides abroad and has built a house for his family where the late wife and children live at Okhokhugbo community in Egor LGA.

She was said to have died at a hospital she was rushed to after the abortion procedure failed. Pastor Elvis revealed he was suspended from the church over marital issues.

He said his wife was in the habit of always fighting him since they got married in December, 2016, and the church suspended him because he could not settle problems he had with his wife.

What compounded his woes are that Mama Sarah’s husband family are demanding refund of the bride price they paid. They are also saying Pastor Elvis would take care of the burial expenses after performing the marriage rites.

According to him, “I knew this Mama Sarah when she was ill. I prayed for her and she promised to reward me. We started dating but the children were not aware. .

When one of her daughters wanted to raise suspicion after some neighbours questioned my continued visit to their house, she threatened to throw her out of the house.

She asked me to move into their house three months ago before I could get an apartment and I was staying there. I am an orphan. I didn’t plan to get into this mess.

She didn’t tell me she was pregnant. I was not aware she went to procure abortion. I am really ashamed. I prayed God to forgive me. I am now remorseful. She used to give me N1000 or N2000 to run errands for her.”

The politician and hotel owner, Richard Kpodo aka Perry Rich was arrested and dragged to court after he detained a girl in his hotel and raped her.

PEREKEME RICHARD KPODO was accused of rape charges and unlawful detention of one Miss TEKE BLESSING in Etegwe, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Sitting in yenagoa magistrate court 10 today the 27th of June 2018.
Mr KPODO was said to have rapped miss blessing Teke on the 20th of June 20

He was accused of the aforementioned charges and his lawyer pleaded that his client should be granted bail on health challenges.

The council to the state further submit that the defendant has not prove beyond reasonable doubt and he should present certifiable evidence of his health issues.
The presiding judge thereby remanded him in prison custody and adjourned the matter to 10th of august 2018 for further hearing.

The Vice Chancellor of the Akwa Ibom University, Prof. Eno James Ibanga, said his university does not give admission to students with tattoos.

He made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen, saying that students are thoroughly screened before being admitted, also to check that they do not belong to cults. One of the criteria for admission is the no-tattoo policy.

A 32-year-old Ghanaian man has been arrested by the Assin South District Police Command for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a goat .
.
Assin South District Police Commander, DSP Okyere Adam, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect, Daniel Ackon, was arrested by the youth of the area.
.
.
He said the complainant in the case told the police that he had tied the goat at his residence to feed before leaving for church.
.
.
On his return, he said he heard an unusual noise from where he had tied the animal, so he approached the scene, only to find Daniel on top of the goat with his trousers pulled down.
.
.
The complainant raised an alarm and the youth helped to arrest Daniel. He said the goat was seriously bleeding at the time it was brought to the police station as an exhibit.

The residents who caught the suspect in the act reported that there were blood stains in the cloths of the suspect. Ackon, who is being processed for court, has denied any wrongdoing.

A lady identified as Rahmatu and her husband have been arrested for allegedly brutalising a 5-year-old girl that lives with them at Angwan Dosa, in Kaduna and almost got her blind.

It was learnt that the girl had defecated on her bed following complains of upset stomach. The development angered Rahmatu, who descended on the victim, leaving her physical injuries, mainly on her face.


Luck, however, ran out on the suspect, when a neighbour, who got wind of the incident, alerted members of an NGO, Umukhail Foundation, who rescued the girl and reported to the state Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (MWASD).


Confirming the incident, the Commissioner, MWASD, Hajiya Hafsat Baba, said the girl had been treated at Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital, Kaduna and now in safe custody pending when her father would come from Maiduguri, Borno State where they hail from.

A 5-month pregnant woman has been jailed for two years for attacking her husband’s girlfriend in Ghana. .

It was reported that the woman’s husband had brought his girlfriend to their house and allegedly gave her his wife’s cloth to wear.
.
.
The convict, who went to prison with her 1-year-old son, could not contain the humiliation. She confronted the lady and a fight ensued. .
.
In the course of the struggle, she hit the lady with a sandal and was jailed for assault. .
.
She was also fined 1400 Ghs and asked to pay another 2000 Ghs for the injuries caused to the victim. Since being jailed, her husband has not visited her.

On Friday, Ariana Grande released God is a Woman, the third track previewed from her forthcoming album Sweetener. The music video features a feminist reimagining of Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, starring Grande as God.

There’s also a memorable cameo halfway through the video when Madonna’s disembodied voice appears, like the voice of God, reciting a gender-flipped version Samuel L Jackson’s Ezekiel 25:17 speech from Pulp Fiction:

God is a Woman has a lot of Grande fans singing “Hallelujah!”, referring to the Christian God in female rather than male terms – which has long been considered by many to be borderline blasphemous. God is still very much gendered male in religious discourse and most versions of the Bible.


The Catechism of the Catholic church pretty much says it all with the proclamation “God is neither man nor woman: he is God”. Grande’s song, then, is sure to touch a misogynist nerve.

At the Malkohi IDPs Camp, Jimeta - Adamawa State, through his TOUCH OF LOVE FOUNDATION, the man of God gave relief materials worth over N3m to them including Educational Materials, Food Items, Wrappers and even Sporting Equipments. The Camp which houses over 3,000 persons majorly from Borno State are predominantly Muslims.

Apostle Suleman was particularly touched by the standard of living of the people and made a commitment to continually send relief materials regularly.

He also paid for Chairs, Desks and other Educational Materials for the children to aiding their learning.

He called for concerted efforts to making Peace reign in the country even as all Nigerians demand for the overall good of all, no matter their tribe or religion.

Apostle Suleman was received in the state by creme de la creme in the Political cum Religious structures of the State and paid a courtesy visit to the Governor accompanied by CAN & PFN executives.

It would be recalled that Apostle Suleman had earlier in the year donated N4m & N5m respectively to the State Governments of Taraba & Benue State to cushion the effects of the rampaging destructions of the Herdsmen attacks. "The overall Peace & Progress of the Nation is non-negotiable" he stated in a brief media chat with news men.
