I have a friend that stays London. She has 20kwh of lithium which she uses only in Christmas.

The rest of the year it just sits. Except for like two or three times a year some of the nephews/nieces visits the house.

That's not an ON and OFF switch, it's a Manual Transfer Switch which can replace the usual knife changeover switch.

This looks fake to me, I know the OEM to be Hager not TOMZN. Moreso, the model has failed multiple times at currents greater than 40A.
I recommend you use the MTS MCB as attached below if your load is going be more than 32A. This has an internal mechanical interlock that switches off the common load when you switch on the backup load and vice-versa.

That is what some of these guys do here. When a learner comes and ask lots of question, it gets to a point where they start becoming very hostile. I don't understand this weird behaviour but it is common amongst lots of Nigerians. Me, I no send am.

Recommendation: next time use third party shippers. FedEx and UPS shipping almost always comes with a crazy import duty.

I've seen installation done at 200k, and installation done at 300k. Both is worth what they say. As they didn't use the same material/tools.

LG, I may be biased as I use LG.

Their Dual Inverter model is just so energy efficient.

Maximum cold running wattage <= 1000w for the 1HP version (drops to around 600w when room is cold)

Dehumidifier mode = 230w to 600w (depends on time of day; outdoor temperature)

Fan Mode = 120w

This is too much money. You can buy POWMR POW-48140A for around $260 (400k). Voc is around 500v (48v 140amps). I ordered 10 for my project.
Another cheap option is to buy a 5kv felicity hybrid inverter and use it as a charge controller. I believe Voc is around 500v

He asked for a charge controller. If he asked for an inverter the list is as long as the golden gate bridge.

Go with Scanfrost. I have a non inverter 250L Scanfrost freezer that draws a maximum of 160w. Freezer keeps everything frozen all day long after running for 8 hours daily (8am to 4pm)

This is a microcosm of Nigeria-many people from different walks of life and disciplines are here. Some may go all out to antagonize you. My way of dealing with it is to never react the way the person thinks I would. I do the opposite of what they hope.

We are all here to share knowledge, and differing opinions is often part of it. But I have noticed that most Nigerians cannot counter opinions with mere facts without resorting to personal jabs. Once you’ve been online long enough, you learn to ride that rough wave like a pro surfer.

I doubt anyone has reported anything. Nairaland's SpamBot is crazy. I noticed it doesn't like too many numbers. Also, you can easily get banned for posting links unless you space them out so they won't be clickable. What I usually do is either take a screenshot of something and post it as an image or post links with spaces in between to avoid triggering the crazy SpamBot

Tested 2 inverter:
one overstates PV input while the other slightly understate PV input

Please who uses smarten inverter here,mine just started tripping off with this message "Short circuit,please check wiring" The batteries are fine.


I don't know what that means,but I noticed recently that my appliances would sometimes shock me,off and on happening.

The first thing to do is this:
1) Remove the output wire (the wire from the inverter that powers your house).

2) Check if the short circuit is still present when you power up the inverter.

3) If yes, the inverter needs to be taken to a service center.


4) If no, there is a short circuit somewhere in your load.


5) If a short circuit is present, you can do the following yourself if you have a basic understanding of electrical wiring:

a) Turn off all loads, that is, turn off all sockets, bulbs, etc.

b) Check if there is any burnt-out light bulb still connected to a lamp holder. If yes, remove it, as it might be the source of the short circuit.


c) Check if any of the appliances (loads) are causing the short circuit by going around and turning on each one while you wait to see if the inverter will display a short circuit warning


If step (c) reveals the issue, you've found the culprit.

Real time update. Monitoring data always with you even if you are offline - data stored locally in your raspberry pi SD card. If you DIY it's not up to $200.

Anyways if all these perks are not your thing you can always use the inverter's monitoring software.
