Because he can't buy them over.

I doubt if what they are giving us today is Sugar.

In the days of St. Lious, once you get the sugar pack open, there is this big ants that comes to eat the sugar. But in today's sugar, if bring out the sugar and keep on the desk, the big ants doesn't come. Even if you take the sugar outside and still urinate on it, the big ants doesn't come.

Back in those days, when you dip a cube of sugar in water and put in pap, you can easily dissolve it with a plastic spoon. But today's sugar is as hard as stone. Even after dipping it in water, iron spoon still finds it difficult to dissolve it.

Two cubes of St. Lious use to turn my tea very sweet but three of these new generation sugar doesn't get my tea as sweet as before?

Is what we are taking today really sugar?

Politics › Re: FG And Igbo Governors Must Never Grant Amnesty To Ipob/ESN aka Unknown Gunmen by meccuno: 7:55am On Apr 08, 2021
[s]
oilyngbati:
It is with heart ache that I've read some comments online from disillusioned and misinformed Igbo youths that Ipob/ESN should be granted amnesty and "reintegrated" into the society. Their reason being that boko haram, fulani bandits and niger delta militants were all granted amnesty. In essence, what these misguided Igbo youths are saying is; 'North has terrorists, therefore we must have our own. The SS has militants, hence we must have oours'. These unreasonable Igbo now see criminality and violence as a form of "national cake" in which Igbo must have her own share in. These ill-informed youths have now forgotten that elections are going to be held in Anambra and the presidential election, which is the ultimate ticket/means to having a substantial part of the national cake is just 2years away. While their counterpart in other regions are strategizing on how to navigate the Nigerian political spectrum vis-a-vis the national collective menace of fulani herdsmen, they are now focused on the distraction known as ESN aka unknown gunmen as directed by the greatest runaway coward in modern history- Nnamdi Kanu. This coward is in London, hiding, having a good time with his family-thanks to money donated to this conman/coward by misguided Igbo, while many keep loosing their lives for a fraudulent cause.

Back to the main aim of this topic; my main reason for being opposed to any form of amnesty to the terrorist organisation called Ipob/ESN is because of the bad precedence such action will torpedo to. If president Muhamadu Buhari and SE governors have the best interest of Ndigbo at heart, they will NEVER grant amnesty to these terrorists IPOB. On the other hand, if the president decides to yield to the outrageous cry of granting amnesty to these vermins, then I would conclude that Buhari hates Igbo.

The resultant effects of past amnesty:

NIGER DELTA MILITANT AMNESTY:
Amnesty was granted to MEND militants by the late president Musa Yahadua, most of the youths were being paid 65k per month. This has lead to able bodied men and women lazying around, with no atom of skill. The only thing these folks are good at is shouting 'our oyel, our oyel, our oyel'. Most of these youths in this region are now into cultism, because of this entitlement mentality.

Boko Haram/Fulani Bandits: The insurgency in the north is now in its 12th year, with no end in sight. The northern leaders funded, groomed and nurtured these monsters, and now they've become multi-headed hydra monsters, completely out of control.

The Igbo I grew up to know:
Growing up, I saw most Igbo parents, like mine push their kids to be the best in whatever they set out to do, especially in education and the ability to decipher truths from fiction (I don't know if such drive still exists in the Igbo parentings of today). The Igbo I knew was a Igbo with the 'can do spirit'. A people who always excel when you don't expect them to and a people with immense wisdom. That's why our ancestors never had kings, hence the phrase-Igbo eweghi eze. We are only led by the wisest amongst us, who must have demonstrated exemplary leadership quality, the most important being the ability to listen to other people's views and to weigh his actions and utterances very carefully, especially how it affects his people.
If amnesty is granted to these IPOB/ESN terrorists, I foresee a situation were most Igbo will engage in a life of crime, making the SE inhabitable. The Igbo 'can do spirit' will gradually fizzle out. Our competitiveness that has made us develop an apprenticeship scheme, which in turn has helped us to develop the largest middle class in Nigeria, to the awe of our adversaries, will be completely destroyed.
Ipob members must dissociate themselves from Nnamdi Kanu. When you study his actions very well, you'll know he has nothing to offer anybody. All he's after is his pocket. To all those who are bamboozled by his ESN, it's all fraud. Kanu video-shopped the the videos of the Ambazonian training camp. His ESN is not even upto 50 misguided youths, 16 of which were killed in Aba last week by the military. Kanu even denied them when they were caught. ESN/unknown gunmen is a ploy by Kanu to keep raising money, because when you keep seeing ESN, you will keep sending money, thinking he's working by safeguarding the SE.

How ESN Operates:
ESN attacks police and military checkpoints. Steals their guns (Kanu is so greedy, he couldn't even buy his ESN an ordinary AK). ESN then buys a cattle from a fulani herdsmen, takes the cow into an isolated bush. Then they video themselves running and shooting, claiming they are chasing fulani herdsmen. They build a few small huts in the bush, burn them down and tell you it's fulani settlement they burnt down. All na format! They are desperate for cash, hence the continued videos of their childish acts. who records himself, shooting and chasing fulani? Enough of these stupidity or else, it will lead to the destruction of the SE.

What some of us elders can see sitting down, you youths of today cannot see standing from the tallest Iroko tree.

The Biafran war was a massive conflict.

2 million Igbos lost their lives.

There was mass starvation of Igbo people. Many also died of malnutrition and kwashiorkor.

If you think this did not happen on a large scale, go to every Igbo village and ask them where their civil war dead are buried, and they will show you. And I mean EVERY village.

All you youths shouting 'Biafra Biafra' need to cool down and research what happened the last time.

It was very terrible for the Igbos. They suffered greatly.

Virtually the entire world stood against Biafra and supported Nigeria.

Biafra was blockaded, by sea, land, and air. Nothing could come in or go out, for years.

Igbos were forced to eat anything that moved including cockroaches.

Cannibalism grew.

You honestly do not want a repeat of what happened back then.

The sad thing is that this twitter, SUV, smartphone, instagram generation is far, far, far, far, far, far less able to deal with such hardships than the 60s generation, if their reoccur.

Nnamdi Kanu to me, is an agent of people who want to destroy Igbos again, as they have become the most prosperous ethnic group on the continent, and therefore, must be cut down.

He could be an international agent.

He is in London stirring up trouble, and now the East is becoming a battle ground for federal troops.

In 3 years time, it could be ''worse than Syria'' just like Kanu promised.

Igbos, is THAT what you REALLY want for your region?

Igboland, the land of multi-million dollar village mansions, multiple festivities, and fine, fast developing cities, turned to... SYRIA?

If not, get rid of Nnamdi Kanu, or that is exactly what you will get.

We know freedom fighters when we see them, the reality is i don't like freedom fighters, i hate them because all they want is wealth and power and also because they are marxists(communist), infact so called freedom fighters end up even worst than the regime they gain power from but i will be very pragmatic about this because of this piece.

Fiedel Castro was a freedom fighter but fought in Cuba
Mandela was a freedom fighter but fought in South Africa.
Mahatma Gandhi was a freedom fighter but fought in India
Samuel Adams was a freedom fighter but fought in United states
Even Sowore, Shakau, igboho,i hate to put their names here are all freedom fighters but they are fighting in Nigeria.
Even Sisiku Julius Ayuk Tabe the leader of the Ambazonia republic is in prison but fights in Cameroon.

Only one tend to be different, he is Nnamdi kanu, a former real estate agent in the uk, he claims he wants his people to have biafra but he is "fighting" from London not only that he lives in a nice and luxurious apartment in London with his wife and children. This type of freedom fighter is strange, never to be seen before.

There is a fact that Nnamdi Kanu does not have 100% control of IPOB, i noticed that during the unknown gunmen violence and massacre of police and military men, reason his Nnamdi kanu was suprised that his speech could make some of his members who are armed robbers, cultists and kidnappers to carry their guns to kill police and military men. To stay relevant he had to support them.

The future of IPOB is bleak, since Nnamdi kanu does not have control over their members attacking police and military men and installations, there is a very big chance that these IPOB terrorists will split up into hardliners and moderates, what i meant is that it will split up into those that want further violence and those that want no violence, i sincerely believe that Nnamdi Kanu will go with those that do not want further violence because of his location, he will like to be a freeman.

The camp of those that want violence will end up destroying what ever is left of IPOB, they will terrorise the south east with violence relating to bank robbery, killing of innocent citizens, robbing of traders to the extent that the self Sabotage will be massive, other splinter groups will also come out from the moderate group, they will destroy Nnamdi kanu already destroyed reputation, expose the fraud he is and make him irrelevant.

But unfortunately his gullible brainwashed Supporters didn't ask him which part of Nigeria will be worse than Syria. His gullible Supporters thought the entire Nigeria will be affected by his terrorism. They forgot that during the civil war every part of Nigeria didn't feel the war. Life was going smoothly apart from south east where the war was fought and some part of south south. They forgot that despite the more dreaded boko haram activities, only the north east is badly hit and before the coming of this administration the north west. Boko Haram activities or terrorism didn't affect south.

His supporters are not aware that whatever system they want to apply, full blown war or guerrilla, only the south east region will feel it most. The activities of ESN Unknown Gunmen are still at its infancy stage and see the number of deaths and properties destroyed. See the number of criminals released from prison to the society. So which region will be like Syria? I am sure Nigeria will move on. That one is a given. Nigeria will only spend money on weapon and technology to tame the ESN Gunmen. But it is the south easterners that a Miscreant far away london want to make become worse than Syria.

Ndi igbo, this is how boko haram started. And more than 13years after that, Nigeria still day carry go.

This is a message from a Nigerian living in the US, it's worth sharing!

1. If you don't know how you are blessed, you will think your father's farm is worse than your friend father's farm.

2. $1 is ₦500 and so what?

3. Let me elucidate from my little experience. Can anyone in the US use $1 for breakfast? No!

4. But in Nigeria, ₦500 will give you breakfast and lunch.

5.Majority of people's monthly house rent (self contained apartment) in the USA is $1,000 and above... and that is your own 2 year's rent!

6. Have you ever paid for insurance before? Insurance in the US is $280 and that is almost ₦100,000 monthly.

7. When last did you pay monthly phone bills? I pay almost ₦40,000 monthly and if I don't, they are going to block my SIM. Your own MTN can be there for months without recharge.

8. When last did you work on Saturday and Sunday?

9. This I do compulsorily and on regular basis.

10. Don't get me wrong, the US is better than Nigeria, depending on which angle you are viewing it.

11. Do you want to hear the truth?

12. Many people in Nigeria live a more fulfilling life compared to their counterparts abroad.

13. Forget about all the packaging on social media and give credit to the good life you are living.

14. Do you know why Nigerians living in the US always rush back quickly whenever they come home visiting?

15. Because bills are counting and elongated absence (freedom) will put their lives in jeopardy.

16. If you, as a black person, attempt to emulate the whites, they will kneel on your neck.

17. Apart from Congo, no citizens in the entire universe enjoy life to the fullest than Nigerians.

18. You are abundantly blessed but you don't know until you get visa and relocate abroad, that is when you will know that your 8-hour job in Nigeria with free weekend is awoof.

19. With 8-hour job abroad, you can only pay bills, you need other 6 to 8 hours jobs to save for the future and plan your life.

20. The truth is that the grass is green everywhere, it's lack of vision greed of our leaders/politicians and the skewed religious practices (which placed emphasis on miracles) that ascended Nigeria onto a myopic tentacle of complete standstill.

21. Always thank God wherever you may find yourself. Nigeria is good and will be better. AMEEN

One thing that really baffles me about these guys is the way they employ denial tactics.
In 1966, Igbo politicians in connivance with their military officers staged a coup which was celebrated by Igbo's at time. Today, they are denying it wasn't them.
Aguyi Ironsi came with his unifying decree which weakened the regional structures. Today, they trying to deny it.

Ipob and their supporters have been bragging about having weapons, showing us clips of gun battles and all. Now they are attacking law enforcement agencies and their supporters say ipob and ESN are unarmed and peaceful and we should call the attackers unknown gunmen.

When the military kills any of the 'unknown gunmen' they will start crying and saying those are innocent people killed by the army, for how can the army kill unknown people.
They enjoy tagging every crime involving guns to Fulani's, they litter nairaland with threads portraying negativity about other tribes, but when anyone says something about them, they rush to create a topic titled igbophobia and all lie down there to wail on how they are being hated.

As for Kanu, he should stop showing himself as a made in China Shekau. If your people do something, take responsibility for it, but no, he is scared of extradition.

However, whether known or unknown gunmen, they will deal with them just like boko haram are being dealt with.

IPOB threw in some propaganda about fulani people in igbo land, the igbo people who are sympathetic to ipob organized themselves and then go to the Bushes, attack fulani men and also destroy their properties.

Fulani men will come for revenge and retaliation then these same ipob supporters are killed, it becomes a never ending cycle of attack and retaliation.

If this is not the case of self sabotage, i wonder what is it?

How Biafra Agitation Broke Into Factions Under Kanu, Mefor, Dokubo Over Money, Others— Intel Report.

The issue which has splintered IPOB is one of control and money. Mr Kanu forced Mr Mefor out of IPOB after a faction of the UK chapter, led by Mefor, asked for an account of funds raised.

The factions springing up in the Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra among Nnamdi Kanu, Asari Dokubo and Uche Mefor, are largely because of financial resources and control, according to a report by the SB Morgen Intelligence.

The African-focused research firm, in its March 2021 report, which focused on IPOB, revealed that the Biafran group at the moment “is seriously fractured, with many erstwhile key members now either with Mr Mefor or charting their own course.”

At a press conference on Saturday, March 13, 2021, Dokubo, a former President of the Ijaw Youth Council, and the founder of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, had said he was the Chairman of the implementation committee for a new organisation called the Biafra Customary Government.

But absent from the press conference were the representatives of the Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB, who had been vocal in the agitation in recent years.

The SB Intel report stated that Mefor, formerly Nnamdi Kanu’s deputy in IPOB, and Ralph Uwazuruike, founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, were however in attendance at Dokubo’s meeting, fuelling fresh realignments in the agitation and the sidelining of Kanu.

It said, “The absence of Mr Kanu from the meeting brings into the open a fracture within the secessionist movement in the former Eastern Region of Nigeria. Mr Mefor, Mr Uwazurike and Mr Dokubo have come together to form a 'government' with Mr Dokubo as chairman, Mr Mefor as Information Officer, and George Onyibe, a former top IPOB member who fell out with Mr Kanu in September 2020.

“The issue which has splintered IPOB is one of control and money. Mr Kanu forced Mr Mefor out of IPOB after a faction of the UK chapter, led by Mefor, asked for an account of funds raised.

“Following that request, Kanu abolished the position of Deputy Leader (the position occupied by Mefor), but many members of the UK chapter remained loyal to Mefor who many see as a better organiser than Kanu.

Mr Mefor is also registered as the deputy director of the organisation in the UK, which means that Mr Kanu’s abolition of the position of Deputy Leader did not affect his official status.

“As the membership of the group divided behind both men, Kanu raised the stakes on 3 March when he announced the dissolution of the UK chapter of IPOB in a radio broadcast.

“All the sources we spoke to were certain that while he is nowhere near as charismatic, Mr Mefor is a far better organiser than Mr Kanu. From a Nigerian perspective, this means that he is more dangerous. Mr Dokubo aligning with Mefor probably amplifies the threat to the country’s oil economy, even though the bigger threat from the Niger Delta remains Government 'Tompolo' Ekpemukpolo.”

The report noted that the Mefor group aligning with Dokubo would have a stronger effect on the southern region, “with the Niger Delta militants able to respond in kind to any provocations by Nigerian security forces.”

“Uche Mefor, like Ralph Uwazurike, believes in non-violent agitation and the lobbying of world powers to achieve an aim that they believe the entire region that comprised the defunct state of Biafra subscribes to. This is in stark contrast with the actions of IPOB’s paramilitary wing, the Eastern Security Network, which is operated by the faction of IPOB loyal to Kanu.

“Mefor’s non-violent approach is likely to gain him more support amongst the Igbo middle class who are afraid of a repeat of the scorched earth kind of war that was fought 50 years ago. Most of those who may support the Mefor group are those especially turned off by Kanu’s abrasive tactics which have earned him more enemies in high places both within South-East Nigeria and without,” the report added.
