OP please edit your topic to read British MP and not British PM as the difference is not ignorable

Nothing actually wrong with the caption, it says "PM’s brother”. Pay attention to the coma

Enyimbamercedes:

British PM, Boris Johnson is the subject of the sentence and not Jon. So the title is used to describe Boris and not Jon. The key is in the comma, pause after reading the bit before the comma and continue then the heading might make more sense.

Thank you

Politics / APC Condemns Xenophobic Attacks, Tells Buhari What To Do by MediaGuru36: 6:56am On Sep 06, 2019
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to take steps to immediately nationalize South African telecommunications giant, MTN, Igbere TV reports.

The party also advocated stringent measures against Multichoice, owners of DSTV; Standard Chartered bank, Stanbic IBTC bank, as well as other South African businesses and companies in Nigeria.

National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, made the call after an emergency meeting of the APC National Working Committee (NWC), at the party's headquarters, in Abuja.

He accused the South African government of backing the wave of xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in the country, declaring that Africa can no longer be the centrepiece of Nigeria’s foreign policy.

The former labour leader said the party has now given the needed support for President Buhari to sanction South Africa, in order to sound a note of warning to other African countries who may want to copy the antics of the South Africans.

Oshiomhole said: “Having listened to all the explanations from the authorities in South Africa, these people (Nigerians) are neither being accused of being irregular migrants nor are they involved in any illegal activities. Those who have business permits to setup businesses whether they are petty traders or small manufacturers, they are operating within the letters of the laws of the South African nation.

“South African companies are making billions of dollars from the Nigerian economy year in year out and repatriate same out of Nigeria. MTN was recently in the stock market and some Nigerians bought shares in MTN but in a moment like this and in order to send a very strong message to South African authorities and the South African people, we call on the Nigerian government to take steps to take over the remaining shares of MTN that are owned by South Africa so that MTN becomes fully Nigeria owned.

“Many Nigerians believe that Shoprite is owned by South Africans; they are repatriating money purely from the franchise, both the capital with which these shopping malls are built are Nigeria’s, the shop owners are Nigerians. This imposes an obligation on the government to review any agreement that gives South Africans the right to begin to develop a monopoly in our commercial lives. APC chairman said.

“We also know that Standard Chartered Bank and Stanbic Bank, are all South African Banks, Nigerians may have more shares there if any. It is time to ask them to wind up so that Nigerian Banks will take advantage of their departure and expand their operations. We have enough to save by transferring these businesses to Nigerians”.

Following the recent xenophobic attack on Nigerians in South Africa, President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned an emergency meeting in Abuja, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV gathered that the President is currently meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama; at the presidential villa.

This comes barely 24 hours after the Minister summoned the South Africa High Commission to a press conference in Abuja, and the despatch of special envoy to South Africa.

Igbere TV had previously reported that properties worth millions of naira, belonging to Nigerians in South Africa, were set ablaze with many others looted by South Africans.

President of the Nigeria Union in South Africa, Comrade Adetola Olubajo, said the attacks began on Sunday morning in Jeppestown area of Johannesburg.

Mr Olubajo said in a statement on Monday that the mob “looted several shops that were around the vicinity suspected to be owned by foreign nationals.”

A Nigerian man has just smashed his DSTV decoder over the recent attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV had earlier reported that properties worth millions of naira, and belonging to Nigerians, were set ablaze by South Africans.

A viral video sighted by Igbere TV also showed several shops being looted by the angry South African citizens in their large numbers.

President of the Nigeria Union in South Africa, Adetola Olubajo, said the attacks began on Sunday morning in Jeppestown area of Johannesburg.

Mr Olubajo said in a statement on Monday that the mob “looted several shops that were around the vicinity suspected to be owned by foreign nationals.”

DSTV (Multichoice), including MTN Communications, Shoprite, Stanbic bank, are some of the over 200 South African companies in Nigeria.

Speaking on reasons for his actions, the Nigerian man identified as Enigma on Twitter, said destroying his decoder was the only way he could express his disapproval.

“I just smashed my DSTV console where I am now, 2 more to go. This is how show my solidarity. Dang DSTV, Shoprite and all South Aficans. I am berserk but I can't kill anybody and won't.

“The way I can express my vehement disapproval is by cutting ties with anything South African. I am crying and angry at same time. For the lives lost and at the south African government”, he said.

Abia born philanthropist and business mogul, Emeka Ikwechegh has donated a bungalow to a blind indigene of Igbere in Abia State.

Igbere TV reports that Ikwechegh made the donation on Monday at Agbowere, Ibina-Ukwu Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

The beneficiary is identified as Mrs Echerelam Arisa of Ibina-Ukwu, Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking through HRH Eze Joseph Anyanta of Ibina-Ukwu Autonomous Community, during the presentation of keys to the house, Ikwechegh reiterated his commitment to alleviating the suffering of the less-privileged in the society by improving their health and physical wellbeing.

He appreciated God for giving him the opportunity to affect lives positively, and urged Nigerians to always give helping hands to people, especially the aged and to also show love and concern to their neighbours.

Reacting to the gift, the recipient, a jubilant Mrs Echerelam Arisa, expressed gratitude to God for using Emeka Ikwechegh to solve her accommodation problem.

She thanked the Igbere born philanthropist for the kindness and prayed God to always protect him and his business, including his family.

Igbere TV recalls that Ikwechegh had recently launched a monthly salary scheme for all widows in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

Just last month, Emeka Ikwechegh awarded full scholarship to over 180 indigent pupils and students of selected primary and secondary schools in Igbere Community.

This is even as monarchs in the Community recently donated a parcel of land for the construction of an ultramodern hospital earlier promised them.
