funkybaby:Slovakia, third? omo, u go tay. lol. |
i'm totally against the use of technology in football. controversies and human errors keep the game beautiful. having extra officials behind the goal posts is a better option |
I always had my doubts about Gerrard but today it has been proven beyond reasonable doubt that Gerrard is overrated. |
I think football is begining to gain huge followership in the US |
still drooling over Suarez's second goal |
any team but England |
Lagerback has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he truly is an 'olodo'. An 'olodo' coach will build an 'olodo' team. |
Shocking and uncivilized. Bank Phb is a useless bank. |
Fed is through to the next round after defeating Arnaud Clement of France in straight sets; 6-2 6-4 6-2 |
This Swiss side are just too poor. They couldnt even get a win over whooping boys, Honduras, even when qualification depended on it. Other than that scrappy goal against Spain they couldnt find the back of the net. Their style of play is too negative. |
Wow C. Ronaldo for the third time in 3 matches |
Rugby match |
I wont be surprised if NK beats CIV |
What of Etoo's watches? |
Lagerback cant get a job elsewhere except Africa, with their inferiority complex. |
who should he blame before? no be that one we wan chop. If he has integrity, he should tender his resignation to the NFF. Paul Le Guen has already done that with Cameroon. He can as well borrow a leaf |
give Lagerback a hundred years, he wont do better than this. As for Sani Lulu, he's only talking with his pocket at heart |
draw |
I heard they had combined aces of 215. John Isner 112, Nicolas Mahut 103. Longest match in tennis history. didnt watch it though |
Eagles have already arrived home so lets just move on |
I think the high point of his career is the Atlanta 96 Olympics where he captained Nigeria to glory beating Brazil, where he scored a brace and Argentina to win the gold medal |
Of course there are loads of talent in Africa and Nigeria especially. Our silver winning U-17 team last year is blessed with wonderful talents that if given the chance, they'll be world beaters |
I think Mikel saw this coming so as a sharp Ibo gee, him waka knowing he would get a large chunk of the blame cake |
^^^They'll be playing Holland. I dont think they stand any chance against a very strong Dutch team. What do you love about Slovakia anyway? |
The Kiwi's will return home with their heads held high despite not going beyond the group phase. The didnt lose a match and they held their own against strong opposition. They were ranked outsiders for the competition but they have surprised everyone, finishing third in a group that has Paraguay, Slovakia and Italy without a defeat |
everything good must come to an end. Kanu has had a glorious career at international level and will forever be remembered as one Africa's footballing legend. |
The high point of this game was Sneijder's pass that led to the second goal. That was simply master class. Huntelaar's finish was also wonderful. The angle was very tight |
its 2-1 Holland. Sneijder with a delightful pass found Robben who hit the post and Huntelaar put in the rebound from a very tight angle |
Greece is the team with the oldest average age but I guess Italy would be up there as well. |
Antonio Cassano must be LOL. Why Lippi refused to take him, no one knows even after wide spread plea for his inclusion in the Italian squad. Italy lacked a quality finisher. Iaquinta, Quagliarella, Di Natele just couldnt deliver. |
not surprised Italy didnt make it. I think i told honeric01, in the first page, that Paraguay and Slovakia could make it through |
^^^thats so funny. I think it was their game against Slovenia. I didnt notice it. The officiating has been fair IMO. The worst decision so far was the USA vs Slovenia game when the ref, Dramane Coulibaly disallowed Edu's goal. Absolutely horrendous. Thank God USA still made it through |
